We had a new HVAC system installed today to replace the old one. Kevin and Zach were our technicians and they did amazing work. They showed up at exactly the promised time, and were very mindful and respectful of our home, our pets, and our recently planted azaleas. I highly recommend Spencer Heating and Air.

We had Spencer Heating and Air install a heat pump and new furnace in September. Last month I noticed a problem with insulation on the return ductwork. I contacted David and he sent Louis and Jason inspect and repair any problem. I was very impressed and pleased with the attention to detail, and I mean the smallest detail, that these men demonstrated while doing their work. The job was very difficult because of the tight crawl space, yet they spent hours fixing things that many would not care about. I wish all craftsmen had the same ethic of doing the best possible work, no matter how detailed the job, or unpleasant the work environment.

We got estimates from different companies. Spencer was the most detailed and thorough.
On time on budget. Answered all of our many questions. Expert installation. Courteous, professional. We would recommend them to anyone.We have a new 15 seer heat pump and variable air handler. Thank you David and your great team.

Love the new system - quiet yet powerful, and when a small part they installed failed (it was bad out of the box, but not something you would discover until it shut the system off for safety), they came at 10 pm on a Saturday night to replace it with a new one!!!
I had somewhat of a custom install (had them move my outside unit to another side of my home, so had to run all new lines & electrical with a heat pump for my home and ductless in my garage) - both work great and I am very pleased.
I highly recommend them.

Really can’t recommend them enough. Great business that is responsive or all our needs and really takes the time to diagnose the issues I had with my previous heat pump (compared to another company in town). David made the whole process simple and understandable and gave us a fair deal on a new installation. They’ve definitely earned our business.

We cannot say enough great things about Spencer Heating and Air. They have gone above and beyond for us. When our AC went out during the heat of summer, Spencer’s installed window units to keep us cool until they could get our AC repaired. They recently repaired our heater and worked with our home warranty to make sure everything was covered. They respond to calls quickly, are friendly and professional and prices are very fair. Spencer Heating and Air lived up to the recommendations from friends and customer reviews. The initial response was quick. David's visit for the estimate was on time, professional, and thorough. We felt informed and comfortable with the decisions we needed to make about the replacement of our HVAC unit. The work was completed in an equally professional, thorough, and timely manner. We are completely satisfied with the equipment and workmanship.

I called Spencer Heating and Air after I was experiencing some issues with my A/C unit. I had never used them before, so I didn't really know what to expect, but their info was on the side of the unit from where they installed it when the house was built. I previously lived in Opelika and used a different company to work on my A/C at that house, but I gave Spencer a call since they had serviced this unit in the past.

The tech showed up very close to the time frame I was given over the phone, which was nice since I had to leave work to meet him. He looked at the error codes that were being displayed on the control panel, powered the unit down, cleared the alarms, but told me something didn't seem right. He stayed for a few minutes to make sure there wasn't a bigger issues and the unit tripped the breaker and shut off again. He was right... he found a wire that had a short in it, got it fixed, and the unit has been running fine ever since. He had everything fixed in under an hour.

I appreciated the fact that the tech was straight forward with me and that he stayed that little bit of extra time to find the actual problem before just leaving when it started running again. He also could have told me anything under the sun was wrong with the A/C and I would have believed him because I know next to nothing about HVAC systems.

Long story short, I will definitely be using Spencer Heating & Air again and I will be recommending them to anyone who needs HVAC services.

Tim, Timothy and Jason were on time and prepared to install a replacement mini split ductless HVAC system. The installation was completed in 3 hours. All three gentlemen were professional, courteous and willing to answer any questions. You wouldn’t know anyone was here as they cleaned up after the install and hauled away the old unit. We’re very satisfied with the service as well as the purchased unit from Spenser Heating & Air and would highly recommend them. The Daikin mini split is super quiet and works as advertised. We plan to setup a maintenance schedule for both the main HVAC as well as the mini split.

We recently had an AC emergency with water leaking into our house. We called Spencer and they were at our house in less than 1 hour and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem. This is the second time we have relied on Spencer to fix an immediate problem. Both times they have shown up promptly and fixed our issues at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend Spencer Heating & Air!

We had gotten quotes for a new heating a/c unit from several companies. Spencer’s quote was right in line with what we had budgeted. Other companies were much higher.
From day one we had a crew of three young men who were prompt, courteous and able to answer any questions we had. Our job was big because we were replacing old duct and moving old system out. The Spencer crew was at our home for four days. Each day they arrived early and put in a full days work. We are so impressed with this company. David came out each day to oversee the work and solve any problems that arose. The best part is our new system is quiet, efficient and our bill was exactly what David had quoted. We couldn’t be happier and I highly recommend Spencer heating and air.

We’ve used Spencer Heating and Air three or four times since we purchased our house less than two years ago. The first time was a weekend in our first summer, when the AC just quit on us, and the most recent (and hopefully last for a while!) was today. We had concerns that our system was at the end of its life when we first moved in, and those concerns were borne out this winter when the whole outside unit just froze over - the only one in the neighborhood - for the SECOND time. So today, they installed a brand new system for us. From estimate to installation was exactly a week, and I expect without a holiday weekend and rainy days it would have been even less time. Their pricing was very reasonable, and David and his team were professional, honest and upfront about exactly what we could expect. This was the first major purchase of our homeownership journey, and we had MANY questions, some of which came after hours, and none of which waited longer than a few minutes for a response.

If you’re needing anything done to your AC system, David and his team are HIGHLY recommended.

We've used Spencer several times for the ACs in our home and in our rental house. They're very responsive, don't leave you wondering if/when they'll show up (communication for the win!), and have been able to fix all of our random problems. Even for emergency calls, the price is reasonable. The employees have all been very professional and knowledgeable.

I called at around 8 and they were responsive in 20 minutes...Kelan was friendly and knowledgeable...he knew what the problem was and got the job done!!!

Could not be more pleased with Spencer Heating & Air. They quickly and accurately diagnosed my AC issues, and gave me fair and honest pricing. AC was fixed in a couple of days, and they followed up to make sure everything went well. Will not use anyone else in the future, go with these guys!

Had an issue that was never solved by other companies in the area. When I inquired about it, they sent someone out who was extremely professional and figured out the issue within minutes. After fixing it, our house became extremely comfortable again and saved us so much on our monthly power bill. Would recommend to anyone in the area! Professional, on-time, and extremely reliable.

Spencer heating and air was awesome! There needs to be more stars allowed to post. We bought all new systems for our upstairs and downstairs of our home. Having to replace both systems was not fun financially. But they were so worth the trouble. They made sure that we understood our units and helped us set up our apps that help us control the units before they left. They cleaned up after themselves, they were quiet, respectful and they were funny and easy to be around and I’m very grateful for businesses like Spencer! They are awesome!!!

We have been on the maintenance program with Spencer Heating & Air for 4 years. Matt who performs our service has always been great to work with on each visit. We recently had an issue and no AC, Spencer came right out to help. Dave made an extra effort to track down the part and rearrange schedules to get us back up and running before the weekend. Everyone I have dealt with at Spencers have been so professional and easy to work with. I appreciate the time they take to explain the issues and options we have for repair as well as getting it done quickly. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Have been meaning to share my review for a while now, but we experienced issues with our unit on Father’s Day weekend & they were quick to come out and troubleshoot. Unfortunately it was an issue that could not be fixed that day but I feel that they worked diligently and got our unit repaired in a timely manner. They definitely took care of us!
