I am late posting but let me tell you how good God is. I looked up several structural specialists and decided to use this company. Mr. Brian was such an amazing man. He is definitely a people person who really cares about helping others. He was a great listener and was very thorough in explaining what was needed. I am so happy because he didn't take advantage of me and was about his business. He assessed the situation and the next thing I know, my crawl space was cleared secured. He also made sure my deck was secured by replacing the support posts. Honesty and trust is very important when it comes to this type of work. Thank you so much.

Very positive experience with Michael Thrasher. He was courteous and professional. They were recommended by an engineer. They took the time to explain everything they were doing and made sure we understood and we're comfortable with the solution.
They communicated well, showed up on time, completed the work on time. Went out of their way to make it as pleasant and convenient as it could be. Cleaned up well after the work was completed.amd made sure we were happy with the work before leaving.

Southern Home structural waterproofed my crawl space in 2020, they did an amazing job. 5 years later I called asking them to install a new filter, they picked up the phone and replaced the filter. It’s hard to find contractors that will show up and do what they say they are going to do especially 5 years later after the original work. I highly recommend them to help with your structural issues. Waterproofing my basement solve all of my moisture issues, builders shouldn’t build houses in the south without waterproofing the crawlspace.

Jason Cowan came out today (for no charge) to check on a few areas in our home that caused us concern. He was very kind and professional. He explained the issue and assured us of no foundational issues. He was wonderful! This is actually the second time we’ve used this company. You can trust them to be honest!

He conducted a thorough examination and took the time to explain everything in detail. I worked with Matt and Brian on some concerns I had with my house. They were incredibly friendly and professional. I can't recommend them enough after my experience with them!

Brian did a thorough determination on the scope of work needed to address our drainage issues, and did not make recommendations that exceeded our needs. Drew and his crew worked quickly and thoroughly to complete the job faster than expected. Only had light rains so far, but very pleased with results at this point.

I had Matthew Caudle come out to my house and take a look at the moisture and mildew issues I was having in my crawlspace. He showed me some results of crawlspace encapsulation hobs they have completed and how his company could resolve my issue. I got a very reasonable quote that day and asked when they could start. He said within 2 weeks. That was 9 days ago.

Michael Thrasher came to the house with his crew yesterday right on time and started our crawlspace encapsulation project. He let me know what to expect and how long it would take to complete. The first day they went around the entire inside parameter of the crawlspace walls adhering the vapor barrier. They also sprayed our floor joists for mold that was already growing because of the high humidity levels and low air flow.

Today the team arrived right on time again and promptly got to work. They laid down the vapor barrier to the floors, put in a dehumidifier and plumbed the drainage lines outside of the crawlspace away from the house. The walls were all sealed to the floor leaving no gaps for any water penetration. They finished off by making me a new crawlspace door and sealing any gaps with foam and silicone.

It looks pristine and white in my crawlspace now and I have no doubt it will accomplish what it is meant to do, by keeping moisture levels down, so I don't get a repeat of mold and mildew growing in my basement.

Michael, my sincere thanks, to you and your team, for an extraordinary job. I could not be happier with the job you guys did.

Had some foundation issues on a crawl space home in Birmingham. My Realtor called Southern Home Structural Repair for a quote. They scheduled the work quickly with only a 2 week wait. Mike Trasher was the Crew Leader. Repairs were made in 3-4 days. Mike and his crew did a great job. 5 Stars from me.

The main reason I am recommending Southern Home Structural is because when they came out to assess my problem, they said I needed only a small portion of the work two other foundation and waterproofing companies recommended at double and triple the cost! That is huge to me! I believe many companies take advantage of single women trying to maintain a home! Not Brian and this company! Brian took plenty of time to point out the pros and cons and legitimate needs. We need more of this kind of integrity! Give them a chance to fix your problem and nothing more.

We hired Southern Home Structural Specialist to repair our foundation. Our floors were sagging and causing our walls to crack. They came out and inspected the house to see what all would be needed to resolve the issue. They went in crawl space of the house to get the measurements of the custom jacks needed to complete the job. After they completed building the jacks the crew foreman stayed in the house with a level and guided one of the workers under the house on which jack to raise until the he floor was perfectly level. Overall, we had over 1 and a half inches of sag in the middle of the room before they started and now it is perfectly even. Some of the cracks in the walls were almost an inch wide and now we just need to spackle them and paint. I am confident that I will not have any sag in the future. Thanks to Matt and Garland for giving me the he best prices I could find and to Jackie and his crew for getting my home’s sagging floors fixed. This is the most professional company I have had the pleasure of doing any work for me in the past 25 years.

Each step from Bryan's visit to evaluate the issues and give us a fair quote to Jerome's team doing the work, they made it as stress-free as possible. Jerome's team was very polite, efficient, and cleaned up completely around the job site. I appreciate their professionalism and the work pride of everyone I came in contact with. This company was recommended to me when I learned I needed foundation repairs on my home. Matt and his team of guys working on my house were professional and honest. They kept me updated throughout the days they were working, communicating the steps of the process, and anything else I needed to know or expect. They took great care in preserving my yard and fence which I know was challenging as they were working in a tight space. Upon finishing, Matt showed me pictures and reviewed all the steps of the job again. I am extremely pleased with the work that was done and could not have asked for a better experience or a nicer group of guys to have completed such an important job on my home!

I reached out to Brian after receiving a referral from my contractor. Brian helped me secure a structural engineer and helped to figure out the best way to address the issue of stabilizing the floors in our 100 year old home. Once construction began, Drew and his crew were so good. They kept the house as clean as possible and worked hard every day until completion of the job. They completed the work on time and under budget! I would highly recommend Southern Home Structural Specialist and the great work they do!

All around a great experience! Brian was incredibly kind and professional during the initial visit to address our concerns. Didn’t feel like we were being sold to but just getting an honest opinion from a professional. Mike and his crew came out to do the work and everyone was extremely professional and they were in and out in 6 hours tops. We had 7 support beams installed. The space was cleaned up so well that, aside from the new beams, you wouldn’t have known anyone had been there.

The Foreman and his crew were great! Courteous, thorough, and on schedule. Matt Caudle runs a good business. Very pleased with the work.

Updated review: the work on my home is complete. I am very satisfied with the results. I met with Drew- the on site contact. He was great! He kept me informed everyday, letting me know what they were doing and when they would be done for the day. He was very easy to work with during the project. This is a first rate company. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services!
Brian was a pleasure to work with during the consultation regarding issues related to the floors and the crawlspace in a house I considered purchasing.
