One way to judge a company is to watch their workers.. and i did. They worked very hard to get rid of the "uglies" in my yard. I'm very happy! Highly recommend them

We had our initial full landscaping (pavers, patio, rock wall, sod) and an additional project (paver extension) done by Ground Effects. In both cases they worked hard and achieved our goals for the property. Very responsive, punctual, and they make the effort to start and finish early when they can. Polite crews, left the area as clean as they found it.

Beautiful job!! Nicest people! Hard, hard workers. Efficient and take pride in their work. Kind as well. I had a few extra blocks (75 lbs ea) and the guys loaded them in my truck to return them. This was a last minute ‘OMG I bought all this thinking I could do it myself’ job and they sent the estimator out PDQ. Estimator was incredibly nice, didn’t laugh at my ambitions and built exactly what I wanted. Thank you!!

The sweetest Garbage Can Storage Shed in Anchorage! Thank you Mario and Francisco for doing such QUALITY workmanship on my shed. I've added exterior paint and floor paint, personalized it with shelves and hooks... now it's just too fancy for the garbage can! You guys have really made things workable, aesthetically pleasing and blend with the architecture of the house.

Ground Effects is a stellar landscaping company. The project manager, Todd, was extremely knowledgeable concerning several areas on the property. His advice on how to solve problems as well as his creative ideas to enhance the projects' appearance was much appreciated. The skilled work crew was hardworking and pleasant to boot!

I think it’s a given that when a landscaper has completed a project, the work will look good. What is not a given is how long that appearance will last. Ground Effects stood out to me in their diligence addressing drainage and frost susceptible material. Where a previous landscaper had used dirt for similar work, Ground Effects used crushed gravel and compaction, where the previous landscaper had not used drainage tubing, Ground Effects used a lot, and where the previous landscaper didn’t use geotextile and geogrid it seemed Ground Effects covered everything exposed to dirt. The work of the previous landscaper quickly failed. The work Ground Effects did for me looks beautiful, and seeing how they did it leads me to believe it will continue to look that way for a long time.

Ground Effects Landscaping put my lawn in after a septic replacement and did a fantastic job! I would work with them again. The are professional, honest and completed the job in a timely manner.

Ground effects did a lovely job on the landscaping at the entry to our house. The stairs are not only very attractive, they are very robust!!! The stone work is well executed and looks great. Todd, Juan and Salvador were a pleasure to work with.

Ground Effects did a wonderful job of helping us finish our yard. We removed several rock beds from our yard and wanted to replace with grass. They were very prompt, reasonably priced, did wonderful work with grading and hydroseeding, and we have a beautiful yard to show for it. Highly recommend them.

Ground Effects (American Landscaping) was the only business that responded to phone calls after I'd spent considerable time and money preparing our landscape by bringing in dozens of dump loads of topsoil and spreading it with heavy equipment. The crew they sent were top notch. Even with equipment breakdown they returned to complete the project. A year later the new lawn looks incredible. My Labs love it, too.

The Ground Effects team has been great to work with. I interacted a bit with the office staff and they were friendly. The work crews have been courteous and do great work. The shining star though has to be Todd. He's been on top of all the details and interpreting what we want to help produce an amazing final product. A few bumps along the way but Todd listened to our input and got things corrected. Scope of a project often changes but the team handled every change we made in stride. We're waiting on the spray grass, but I would work with them again.

I have never written a bad review, but this was deserving. My sister used these guys for some snow removal this winter. All went well and she paid her bill. But THEN, someone else in the neighborhood, who my sister had never met or communicated with did not pay their bill. For some reason they blamed this on my sister, and just dropped three dump truck loads of snow in her parking lot. It's all on video, police are involved, etc. Wildly unprofessional.

Had a very poor experience with this company. They were hired to build a fence and the construction quality was very poor. The gate was so bad that I had them redo it- which I paid for. But the second time it was still very poor and does not work. One of the gates blew right off. They also did a fair amount of damage to my new driveway in the process and have not returned any efforts on my part to get it repaired. I would not recommend you hire them.
