So I have read through these reviews about this Jake guy at the gravel pit and it sounds like people have a different opinion of what professional is sounds like a lot of people didn’t do their due diligence and call around and get the price that fit their budget or what they thought was a value I understand why people come on here and do this to people I put bad reviews and when it’s not necessary and 90% a time it’s your fault that you didn’t do your due diligence he waited till last minute and just called the first one on the list. This guy jake has been nothing but straightforward and honest with what he can do in the price he charges I think that’s great and for all those are diss disagree you’re more welcome to your opinion I don’t blame him for your lack of knowledge and or not doing your due diligence to see what works for you and people have accidents they break down screws up schedules can’t blame that on him it’s man-made junk these reviews are really pathetic and I just met this guy just met this company and I find all the reviews pretty much BS this guy is outstanding Hope this helps.
PS he’s not responsible for his drivers blowing a stop sign every body in the world does it will it be a California stop or just blew through and those trucks are enormous Lee heavy and sometimes it’s hard to stop them Santa you have sat in a semi truck and drove it keep your mouth closed because you don’t know what situations going on just be happy that you made it through with no incident.

I dealt with Jake, and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. They cleared my property of brush and small trees, and it didn't take them long at all. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them.

They gave me a super fair bid on my property for a septic system, told me everything I needed to do in preparation for them to put it in, and came out at 9am measured everything out and had her set in one day! Highly recommended! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. ☆☆☆☆☆

I had a new home built recently and Jake and crew were involved from start to finish. Cleared the lot, prepped the building site and did the finish landscaping. Jake and his crew were great to work with and I highly recommend Knik Landscaping.

We had a miserable mud road and Jake was able to deliver quickly. Very friendly and helpful.

We closed
on our new home the end of November the crawl space flooded the end of January, thank God we had not moved in yet. I called Jake while he was out of state, he told me he would call me as soon as he returned ,which he did. Jake put us in touch with a group of people to help in every phase of repair, while Jake excavated our foundation to the footings . We are now ready for hydroseed and a fence . Five stars plus in my opinion.

We had a big project to do and knik landscaping was instrumental! We ran into a snag, Jake and Dixie came right over and offered us a solution. We con’t have completed our job in 5 days without them! Driver Doug was awesome and would recommend this company for all dirt and landscaping jobs. Thank you for all your support! You guys are top notch!

Unfortunately, I cannot completely rate the service. I was dealt with so unprofessionally on the phone by a man named Jake that I could not even bear to give the company business.

Watch out for their drivers on the road they don’t bother stopping at posted stop signs and speed through neighborhoods

I called Jake off of a referral from a friend. To start with he rambles on the phone very unprofessionally. That should have been my first clue, however with the referral I decided to still use him. Bad move on my part. I asked what the cost was per load he said $170.00 because there was an hour of trucking per load. Being across the street from my house I thought it was a bit excessive but I didn’t know any better. So regrettably I agreed and he hauled 2 loads in under 30 minutes to my place. Once I seen that I called and told him to stop bringing it. I phoned another pit that was further away and asked about the price they hauled 6 loads for the same price as I paid for 2 and the loads were twice the size as the loads I got from Jake. About this same time one of my new neighbors came up and inquired as to who I was using and I told him who and what had happened. He told me Jake had done the exact same thing to him only it cost him thousands. I got lucky only being stiff’d with 2 loads. I called Jake to square up the bill and told him I thought it was pretty ruthless price gouging that way. He had a laundry list of excuses about equipment he owned and had to pay for etc... I told him thanks but no thanks. Screw me over once shame on you do it twice shame on me. Hope this helps somebody else make a better decision than I did. Good luck!!!

I hired Jake for a project at my house. Jake claimed he had "23 pieces" of equipment and was ready to start. The day he was supposed to start work he never showed up. He ignored my calls. When he finally responded it was by text message. He said he had mechanical issues. When I asked about re-scheduling he responded that he would not complete the project. Horrible business practice.
