John was very professional and explained everything that he had to do so that we could understand. Everything works fine and we are enjoying our new ceiling fan.

John, the owner, is one of the most professional and honest man I have had the pleasure in working with. I cannot say enough positive things about him and his company. If you need any electrical work done, call him. You will not regret it.

When hiring a contractor I look for the following things: Is he friendly, punctual, is the price reasonable for the work done, does he clean up after the job and does he explain the job in full and take the time to answer any questions. O Herren Electric is all of these and when I need work done I will always call John back.

Had a pool light that kept burning out, or so we thought. John came out and found our wiring was not correct, and went to great extent to expose all the wiring and ultimately fix the issue. He at first diagnosed it as something beyond my ability to understand but- it was going to expensive. He came out to do that fix, but had been thinking about his diagnosis and concluded that couldn’t be it. The actual fix was much cheaper and quicker Honest work well done. Couldn’t ask for more.

John put in recessed lighting for us a few years ago and we were very pleased with his work. It looked great! And now we needed a light switch fixed and again we are happy with his work. Thanks John!

O’Herren is the best! We ran into a major electrical problem at the beginning of June and John was quick to respond, showing up within an hour since we had an electric panel fire. He walked me through the issues and got us to a safe state. He explained my options and in the end he replaced the entire electrical panel. This took permitting, digging, rewriring, working with the city... Everything John said regarding the process was spot on, from the timing to the cost, it pretty much unfolded exactly like he said it would. That is the sign of a seasoned veteran. John doesn’t take short cuts and goes the extra mile to make sure the job is done to perfection.

I’m also nosey and John had no problem explaining the “what and why’s” of the electric job. I got a free electrical apprenticeship class out of it :)

I appreciated the work so much that I’ve referred O’Herren to friends and have had him back to help with other electrical jobs.

John is the best electrician I’ve ever hired. Every house I’ve ever lived in. I’ve always done everything myself. It’s three different states on Bigger Project. I’ve always hired electricians. i’m not in the trades myself, but I do understand. Most electricians always seemed a little shady to me, but not John.

I first met him when I had to use him when I was selling a condo in Chandler Arizona, the buying inspector found slightly melted wire in my panel that needed to be repaired. The wire was for my water heater and two years prior. The water heater had melted down internally. I thought to myself boy this is gonna be a big project if they got a whole new wire all the way through from the water heater found John he came out took one look at it gave me two options went with the one that was best. He completely understood the reason why he was there. The selling agent sent their inspector back and looked to look at it and gave it 100%. He was there roughly 1 hour.

I’ve since used them at my new house when the sellers electricians couldn’t figure out the problem they had caused. Called John ! And out he came, took him about three hours to trace everything and figure out where the problems were, come up with an estimate to fix it. We also discussed adding more lights in the outside patio area which he was able to do. He added nine lights and a ceiling fan all works fantastic and looks fantastic. He even repaired the stucco to a perfect match.

A few months later, I had an issue with my pool equipment. I replaced a bunch of equipment myself, but wanted an electrician to hook up all the motors and just make sure everything in the box was OK. The box was good, but not able to bring up to the new code. Being a pool, knowing all the dangers with electricity and pools, I wanted it up to new code. He gave me an estimate on replacing the box doing a bunch of wiring, removing a bunch of stuff on the equipment wall and adding everything I needed for future and what was there. He made sure that the equipotential (bonding) for the pool was done correctly which it was.
