We were in need of a new filter for our swimming pool. They diagnosed the problem, took care of the replacement and showed up when they said they would. They removed the old sand filter and sand and replaced it with a new cartridge filter. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs reliable pool service and repair.

Amco Pool Service offers great customer service combined with exceptional pool maintenance. We can call Mike with any problems and questions and get an answer immediately. Now what I’m about to share with whoever is reading this review, is why I believe the team of Kurt & B-U-P, stands above any pool service in Surprise AZ. area. This business Delivers on its commitment to excellence, protecting “MY investment (Pool & Spa) from neglect or damage, so my family can safely enjoy our pool. Most of all Kurt & B-U-P, are dedicated to honest business practices.

We’ve lived in AZ for five years now. Having your own pool is such a great perk and like everything else, with a perk comes work! For over thirty years living in MN, I had a pool. I had always felt I was pretty good at taking care of it. Without too much detail, I “wasn’t”. Very different taking care of a pool for three months a year to now where I need to be on the ball all twelve months. In the past five years "BLUE UTOPIA POOLS" is my fourth pool service company. Instead of telling you what the other companies did wrong, which could turn this review into a “Readers Digest short story” {I just found out Google won't let me write so much}
I’ll Give some highlights of what Kurt & B-U-P, (Blue Utopia Pools) do so well.
Like most other pools, in AZ, I have an automated system running the works. When I contacted Kurt & B-U-P to inquire about using their service, Kurt set a time to look over our system and explain what they do and how much.
Kurt came out when he said he would.
He explained things no one else had done, like,
I need to clean my filter every six months,
the water needs to be replaced every so often,
this is determined by testing the water {I don’t remember exactly what he said for this}
because the pool is empty, cleaning the walls and
floor while removing the scum line.
This is when I was given something no other company had. A “Weekly Pool Service Agreement” has what they do every week in writing. It also has thirteen other service items that are necessary for my pool to keep it in Tip-Top condition. [Something no other company ever did.]

On and off since day one our “Pool Automation” has given me problems. Every pool service business that we have used, at one time or another, has been asked to fix an issue I was having. Until Kurt, others have looked at the system, checked a couple of connections then told me “The system is outdated and the only to fix it is “REPLACE IT”! This involves thousands of dollars, of which I have none to spare. They would tell me that this part is bad and must be replaced as a set to work properly. I would thank them and explain I could not afford the repair at this time. Until this problem, I would call the “Pentair customer service line” wait to speak to a tech and usually get it working again.
This didn’t work for this problem. I asked Kurt to please fix it. Kurt took every normal step to trace my communication problem between the main panel and the protocol adaptor which enabled access from my computer or phone into the main control board.
Nothing Kurt tried resulted in a fix. Kurt went beyond normal testing procedures and opened a new computer board kit and replaced one part at a time until he was able to fix my system.
NO, NO, NO, nothing worked. Instead of throwing up his arms and quitting or telling me, I needed to replace everything. Kurt brought a factory rep from Pentair to my home to figure out why nothing worked. No other pool service company EVER went the distance like Kurt, to fix my problem.
Kurt could have tossed in the towel and made me spend a bunch of money to replace the automated system, but he “DIDN’T”. Instead, Kurt fixed it. Everything is working now. BETTER THAN EVER!

Kurt did a great job! He installed our electric heater ahead of schedule and under his estimate. I absolutely recommend him and this company for your pool needs!
