Use Jones Air Systems every time I have a problem. Called today at 8:30 they had a technician there by 9:00 . Always professional great prices.

Had a nice phone call with Matt Jones and arranged for a inspection and seasonal servicing of the HVAC system at a house we were buying. He said it would cost $120-240 for the call to cover the main system and two window units. After the call, I wrote this to Matt:

1. You estimated the inspection and cleaning of the main heat/AC unit and two window units at $120, maybe $240. Instead, I paid $510.
2. Your technicians lied about their arrival time. They claimed to arrive at 12 but actually arrived after 12:30.
3. They did not put back together everything they took apart. Filters and covers for window AC units were left uninstalled.
4. They left a can of coil clean sitting in the yard.
5. They left a pile of about 10 screws next to the main furnace/AC unit, outside. Obviously they failed to reinstall all the screws they took out.
6. They worked very slowly and were goofing around, singing.
7. They did not do all the work that was requested. They left a half hour short of a 3-hour block but billed me for that time.
8. In making the appointment, I asked if the persons coming could help with questions about expansions and improvements to the system. Wanted design options and estimates. You assured me that the staff coming could do this. They would not do it and surely were not capable of doing it, but just dismissed the questions.
9. Now, after we purchased the house, the furnace is non-functional. The thermostat is dead, voltage to the thermostat is only 5 VAC and we are having to have another vendor service it with the freezing weather we are having. I strongly suspect sabotage based on all the other evidence above pointing in that direction.

Later, another HVAC company did indeed find the evidence of sabotage in a wire that had the insulation removed and was able to short against metal.
