My hot water heater broke unexpectedly - leaking water everywhere and growling at me. I called Big Blue Plumbing and talked with Lisa. She was so nice - I was pretty freaked out to be honest and after talking with Lisa, I new everything was going to be fine. They came out quickly, explained everything and I had a new hot water heater installed about 4 hours later. Javier was professional, efficient, and kind. Thank you Big Blue, Lisa and Javier!!!

These guys have been great! Super respectful and hard-working. I even had to leave a few time while they were here and felt comfortable with it. Luis was the head guy, but Ryan was here everyday and led all the work. Very friendly and knowledgable. We went with them because we were able to get an exact quote beforehand that wouldn't change- which was more reassuring than the other quotes. Would definitely hire again

Joaquin at Big Blue Plumbing was very friendly and had strong technical knowledge of what needed to get done. He gave us options to consider and showed flexibility to move forward with only that which we could afford at this time.

He also made recommendations for future work and provided us with a very professional proposal broken down in detail.

Nate came to help us with our new house. He explained everything to us and let us know of all the issues we needed to get fixed. He was extremely kind and attentive to details. Would recommend him and this business to anyone looking for plumbing services.

Nick came right on time and the communication with Big Blue Plumbing was excellent. They provided great service, replaced our water heater in less than 2 hours and were willing to look at the options available. Highly recommend!

Enrique from big blue plumbing helped us with our tankless water heater installation. While he was here he did a thorough inspection of our entire plumbing system. He answered all our questions and concerns. He did a fantastic job. Highly recommend Enrique!

Javier has been here twice and has been super helpful. He patiently explains his process and is clear and open about the costs involved. He is very professional, even cleans up after his work is done (surprisingly not all workers do this properly).

Called Big Blue Plumbing to check out a 2nd floor toilet that was leaking onto our first floor ceiling and they were able to send someone the same day.

When Nate arrived we also asked him to look at our kitchen sink pipes. He was friendly and clearly knowledgeable. He explained everything and gave us different options to consider for fixing the issues.

He fixed everything in just a few hours and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Nick communicated really well before he arrived (expected arrival time) and after assessing the issue with water leakage in the guest bathroom (clear explanation of repair estimate and timing required to complete the repair work).Very professional and cordial. If I contract with Big Blue on this project I’ll provide an updated review after work is completed.

I called Big Blue to repair my water heater which wouldn't relight, and was very impressed with the professionalism of Technician Nathan Jones. More than on time, Nate arrived and contacted me a half hour early. Fully prepared to replace my flooded out burner, Nate attempted to relight my pilot one more time, and it worked. He didnt try to upsell me and convince me to replace the burner anyway. Instead he gave me an estimate to replace the burner, made some recommendations for other areas of improvement, such as a sump pump to avoid potential flooding again, and gave me an estimate for that. Best of all, he didn't charge me for the simple fix, and instead used the service call as a complimentary job estimate and quotation. Awesome! Thanks Nate, for the excellent service! I will definitely call upon Big Blue again for any future plumbing needs, and I would highly recommend Nate to anyone for service.

I had a job that I thought might be too small, but thankfully not only did Big Blue take it on, they did it quickly, professionally and for an extremely fair price. Manny was punctual, polite and very clean. He even put on his own shoe coverings each time he entered the house, which as a clean-freak I truly appreciate.
I rarely write reviews, but this experience with Big Blue was so great people really should know about them.

I contacted Big Blue Plumbing on September 7th and was greeted by Gary East who really put my mind at ease with his delivery of what Big Blue offers and then promptly answering all of my question with an enthusiastic and deep concern of my water leak issue. Because of this, I quickly made the decision to contract Big Blue for the job and have not regretted that choice. Nate was great at fixing the gas diverter for the water heater. He was on time and very thorough at what he worked on. He ensured everything worked and checked for any additional issues. He also gave me some warnings such as my hot water tank being on a wood base versus a metal base.
He also recommended earthquake gas shutoff valve which I installed. This cuts off gas supply in the event of an earthquake and saves lives.

Great experience from the very first phone call. Communication was outstanding. Nate was able to get to me early so they called to make sure it was OK. When he arrived he looked over what needed to be done, gave me a great price and once I approved it he got straight to work. I will be using Big Blue for all of my plumbing needs going forward.

Their high ratings are deserved. Big Blue were the only plumbers available to make a short notice service call and also not charge an arm and a leg for it. Javier, our technician, was very professional. Highly recommended.

I had a damaged sewer pipe underneath the sidewalk in the front of my house in Alameda. Big blue plumbing gave me an estimate which I excepted. They did the work exactly as described, quickly and very well. The total price turned out to be less than the estimate, because some things wound up not having to be done. I appreciated that they updated the price based on the services actually provided. They identified that I needed a new incoming water pipe from the sidewalk to the house, and had no problems with me allowing my normal plumber to do that job. Their estimate For the new water pipe was significantly higher than what my normal plumber charged, and their estimate for fixing the sewer pipe under the sidewalk was quite a bit higher than what they actually charged. This is my only caution, is to get multiple quotes and discuss the job thoroughly so you understand all of the charges and what work is necessary and what work is voluntary. With this said the office staff was perfectly wonderful, and all plumbers and technicians that came to my house were perfectly wonderful also. Also big blue was able to come very quickly, while I was having trouble getting other plumbers to come at all for the sewer pipe issue. I can highly recommend big blue.

Nick was awesome he made sure that we had hot water while the other pipe is being fixed. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I feel very confident that the work to be done will be done with integrity! I highly recommend this company and if ever I have another issue they will be my first call !!!

I've been working with Big Blue Plumbing for two years now and I'm so glad I found such a professional and reliable company! The service technicians are professional and polite in demeanor and attire. I appreciate their uniforms and service vehicles--which make them easy to identify. They are tech savvy and send you text messages as well as email reminders (which include photos of the technicians coming to your home!) I am a realtor--so not only do I use them for my own home, but I recommend them to my clients as well. Brittany is always helpful and polite over the phone. Josh was the technician that came to my home and he was amazing! Did a great job in both my bathrooms, cleaned up behind all the work he performed--and left the area very neat--even whistled while he worked--we loved it! (He has a great whistle). Very satisfied with this company, will continue to be their long term client.

The service at Big Blue Plumbing is exceptional, responsive, and fast! Paul Gerrard was a complete professional, and every person who helped with the job was wonderful, competent, friendly and helpful. Paul did everything he could to provide an accurate diagnosis, and expert advice with multiple options to fix our complicated radiant floor heating problem. They were all fantastic to work with and I am extremely happy with the results!

Excellent Service. Very thorough and explained everything in layman's terms. Got our pump relocated in the rain with no problem. It is so quiet now we hardly know it's there. Our neighbor inquired immediately and of course, we highly recommended Big Blue. We would hire again in a heartbeat. We tip our hat to Josh and the crew for the great service.

We had a very positive experience with Big Blue Plumbing. It was straightforward to setup an appointment and on the day of they were very communicative about confirming timing both by phone call and email/text updates so that I wasn't waiting around during the appointment window. They were on time and addressed the gas leak at the house. There were a few other items that I asked Paul to look at based on a recent home inspection and he walked me through my options explaining the pros/cons of each. He was very knowledgeable and easy going and I felt in good hands throughout. I'd definitely use them again and would highly recommend their work.
