Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating installed our furnace 4 years ago, and it worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago. Gave them a call and they sent their technician (Quentin G.) out. Replacement part has been ordered and they'll install it next week; couldn't have been easier! BTW; Quentin is awesome. He knows what he's doing and more importantly knows how to explain things so that even I could understand. Highly recommended.

Its Sunday house is backing up. We're on septic tank. Shouldn't be full because it was pumped 6 months ago so I called a plumber. Quentin came out and promptly checked the tank.. it was full to my absolute amazement. Last time it took 3 years for us to fill it (?). He was amazing, very professional, clean and downright nice! And their high technology communication was greatly appreciated with blow by blow texts telling me when they're coming. I hugely recommend Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating. They are my go to plumbing service here in Big Bear!!!!

Arrived on time. Was very respectful and professional. Spoke with a reassuring tone of voice and took the time to explain every single step he took. When he was finished servicing the heater, which was the reason for the call, Quentin asked if we had any other problems. Sure enough we did and he took care of those with expertise as well. His excellent manner made the whole experience pleasant. We'll request him next time.

I highly recommend Big Bear Plumbing and Heating. Yesterday when I came up for a one day visit to our Big Bear cabin and discovered that the thermostat was not working they were able to make a last minute appointment for me and saved the day. Bryan J was my service pro. He not only installed a new thermostat for me and explained how to use it in great detail, he also checked out the heating system (which is in a tiny attic) and put in a new filter for the heater that we had and couldn't figure out how to install. The next time I have a heating or plumbing problem I will be calling on them and asking for Bryan J. He was fantastic and went above and beyond the call of duty.

When we called Bear Valley Plumbing and Heating on a Sunday for help with a broken water heater, they sent us a technician in less than two hours. After taking a look at our problem Quentin laid out our options clearly and knowledgeably. He then went to work to install our new water heater and the insulation in the housing. He was polite and respectful of our property. And the work he did was very well done.

I awoke yesterday to a very cold house. My furnace decided that it did not want to work. After much research, I called Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating at 11:30 am. All of my information was taken in that initial call and passed to dispatch. Dispatch called back at 11:44 am to tell me my window for a technician to arrive was between noon and 2 pm. At 12:19 pm I received another call to tell me Bryan was on his way. Bryan arrived within 30 minutes. Before I proceed further, that process of connecting the customer and the service personnel impressed me with the type of company Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating is by keeping the customer in the "loop". Kudos to the management and office staff for having the environment that makes the customer important.

True to form, my furnace started right up once Bryan arrived. Restarting it over again, he could not make it fail. He explained many of the things that it could have been, but would not "go chasing" anything, given the current situation, but to keep their number handy, just in case. I found Bryan to be personable and very knowledgeable. He explained my furnace and the possible problems it could have been at a level I could understand. He never talked at me or over my head, but always talked to me making sure that I was understanding.

I was very impressed with the entire process and would recommend Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating for plumbing and heating needs; and would not hesitate to call them again, when my need arises.

My experience was great. The people on the phone were pleasant and helpful. I appreciated the call just before the plumber arrived. Brian S. was friendly, helpful, and explained everything clearly and completely. I appreciated knowing the cost up front and how quickly he completed the job. I feel ready to face the winter now. Brian Sanden provided excellent service. He is obviously well-trained and experienced. He quickly fixed two plumbing issues we had, left no mess, and was friendly and helpful with his advice for any future concerns. We were told by the water company that we had a leak on our property and that the water had been turned off. We were referred to Bear Valley Plumbing as a company that could both find and repair the leak. Quinten and Angel were are technicians and we can't say enough about their professionalism. Quinten walked us through every part of the process as we checked all the bathrooms and outside valves. Lucky for us it was the shut off valve that hadn't been completely shut off by workers at our home. Such a relief!!! We would recommend them to anyone with plumbing or heating issues in their home. We were very impressed by Brian Sanden, our technician. He was very respectful, professional and friendly. He spoke in layman's terms so we could understand the situation. He did not attempt to up sell or use scare tactics to influence us to purchase a new heater. He just gave us the facts, what he could offer and there was no pressure. I'm a full time resident of Big Bear and the house I'm living in was purchased in 2003 and built in the 80s. The forced air heater in it was the original one and it finally died this last October. I called Bear Valley Plumbing and Heating for a new one. Brian came out, took some measurements, and ordered a new unit for me. He ordered a new unit for me. He came back 3 days later and installed my new FAU. My old unit was costing me over $1000/mo to heat the house during the peak winter months and my new unit heats it for $400/mo saving me $600/mo for Dec, Jan, Feb! I've saved over $2500 this winter! Brian completed the job faster than I expected for a great price! I highly recommend Bear Valley Plumbing and Heating!

Outstanding, professional service. We had a problem with our home heating unit. They came during the time window they said they would, and they quoted accurately all the proposed work/service charges beforehand. Most importantly, the serviceman, Quentin, was very knowledgeable about his job, and he had the right tools and equipment to accomplish the job the first time, on the first visit. He was also extremely professional, and took care not to track dirt into the house by using shoe covers; this was impressive, and appreciated! Overall, EXCELLENT value for the price.

Every single aspect of their service has been outstanding. Responded quickly when we ask for a quote on a major job removing an old propane wall furnace and installing two new units in our cabin. Their tech, Quentin, arrived on time, masked and with paper boots on to keep from tracking dirt into the cabin. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and discussed our options clearly.

He also led the team that installed our new wall furnaces. Again, everything was just right. They finished the job in the promised time. The installation was very tidy and workmanlike. They cleaned up the job site each day as though it was a hospital operating room. Quentin consulted with us whenever there were questions about how the job should be done— move the electric outlet “here” or “there”? for example. When he was done he explained exactly what work he had done, and demonstrated how the new furnaces operate.

We have done extensive remodeling in five different residential buildings. We have had a few contractors as good, but none better.

Highly recommended! Absolutely the best.

Quentin arrived promptly on time and was very professional. He was very helpful with our water heater issue and we set up a maintenance on it for later in the week. He also took the time to evaluate our heating system and addressed issues that we had. Will definitely use them again!!

Quentin arrived withing the prearranged time frame. He was professional, very knowledgeable and patient with my with and I as we had many questions regarding the service he performed and some future services we will absolutely have Quentin and the team at Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating provide. They kept us posted by text and email regarding service dates, arrival times and service technician. Very impressed.

Bear Valley is my go-to in the mountains. I even asked them if they'd come down the mountain to do some work on my 'flatlands' home but they don't go off mountain. They've installed two split ductless AC's for me (yes, Big Bear gets pretty warm in the summer!) and they just came out for a leak. They're just great...friendly, honest, responsive, very very professional. Reliable. And they do NOT try to upsell at all.

We're selling my parents home in Big Bear. BBCSD detected a slow but persistent water leak somewhere on the property. I'm not really familiar with the local talent, (we're flatlanders, as my dad would say). I saw that my parents had used Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating several times over the years that they lived in Big Bear, so we gave them a call. We were pressed for time, Rebecca and Ally were professional, friendly, and very helpful. They were able to quickly set up an appointment with a technician to troubleshoot the leak. Quentin was at the house in short order. He was thorough, explaining what he did every step of the way, before he did it. Within a couple hours, he had it narrowed down to the main water line. He gave us three options, explained the pros and cons of each, and told us to take some time to make a decision. The next day, we went in person to talk with Rebecca and Ally. First we talked payment options. When that was worked out, we let them know we had a timing issue and asked if they could possibly fit us in. They were ready to start right away, but they agreed to wait until the property was photographed in preparation for sale. They started the process in the late afternoon, sometime after the photographer was finished. Rebecca, Ally, and Quentin kept us informed every step of the way regarding payment options, when the marking for utilities would happen, when trenching would begin, when the plumbing repairs were started, when the repair was finished and when the backfill would be completed. Quentin even sent photos of the work. I didn't get their names, but we met the the trenching crew and they explained what they planned to do. I was amazed they were able to leave the yard as it was before the trenching. The job was finished three days before the home hit the market. We couldn't be happier with the experience. We just had the most professional service from Quentin for an estimate on a washer and dryer hookup. He was polite, knowledgeable, and thorough with explaining the process, price and with answering our questions. He even checked out another potential problem in our restroom, after his help we knew we were hiring him. I’m looking forward to having them work in our home.
