I had 8 licensed Electricians come & provide a written quote for installing a new home EV charger. 6 of them wanted to make the job bigger then what it was. To charge double or more vs what I paid to ZAP Electric. Of the 8, only 1 other Licensed Electrician knew the proper way to bring in the wiring from my sub panel vs main breaker. But that Electirican did not understand the DWP rebate program. He didn't even think a permit was required when it clearly is required if you want to get your $1,000 rebate from DWP. This is the only Electrician that knows the entire process like the back of their hand to get you your $1,000 or more rebate.

Greg & his partner Vic are the most honest licensed professionals I've ever hired to work on my house. Great attitude, very polite, considerate, professional, knowledgeable, & personable. You will get world class service like I did. Work done by an experienced Licensed Electrician who knows what they are doing & charges extremely fair prices. Don't get ripped off or get bad quality electrical work done. I personally gaureantee if you call ZAP Electric & speak to either Greg or Vic to come give you a written quote after having others give you a quote, I am certain you will go with Greg & Vic at ZAP Electric. I couldn't be any happier. I got my rebate. My charger is installed & with a very nice metal box to protect it from being stolen & against weather elements. Also had them change out 7 motion sensors for me. They installed and brought power to a new outdoor motion sensor light & made it look very professional. Fixed 3 indoor and outdoor power outlets that had stopped working. I will never go to another Electrician again. Hands down. A+ is my rating. Very important last comment. They take great pride in the work they do. I was okay with how the the project looked and thought it was fine. But Greg never does any project without giving it his all. Consistently delivering perfection on each project no matter the size. Hard finding great help like this. Truly.

My wife and I got electric cars within a month of each other, and needed to get an L2 charger installed quickly. I jumped on Angi's to reach out, and Vic responded immediately. He came (same day) to inspect and recommend, and managed to install two days later. Price was absolutely reasonable, and the work was done quickly and immaculately! We have been charged and happy ever since. Have to recommend ZAP and Vic without reservation! Thank you!

In our experience, Greg and Vic at ZAP Electric showed the perfect blend of professionalism and a community-oriented business. These guys know their trade very, very well; but they also understand that most of their clients are not professional electricians. What made them stand out, is that they took the time to explain the stages of the project in detail, their reasoning, options, etc, in a way that was understandable but not patronizing. And they were auper-flexible to accomodate to our schedule and needs.
And it didn’t hurt that they were NOT more expensive than other companies despite the top-notch service (their quote was slightly below average in our experience).
We’ve done a series of contracted jobs and upgrades over the years, in different areas and magnitudes. And we can only wish that more companies out there combined knowhow and approachability as ZAP Electric did for our project.

After having several contractors provide either quotes that seemed to be too high or subpar in the area that I was really looking for the additional help with since I am far from an electrician and know nothing about an EV Charging Station at home (other than I now needed one installed for my new EV Vehicle I had just purchased) I was contacted my Zap Electric. From the moment I began speaking with Greg, the worries that I initially had about finding someone who was going to be completely knowledgeable when it came to the EV Charger Rebate from LADWP and how to go about applying for it, meeting the requirements that are very specific, understanding all of the compliances as well as adhering to the perquisites for permits to be pulled by him personally prior to work being done as well as having the work pass inspection and provide a complete copy of all of the paperwork. Within less than 24 hours of Greg coming to my home, accessing the installation of the charging station, receiving a very professional quote breaking down the charges for the labor, materials, permits (which I had more than 1 contractor tell me was not required as well as provide inaccurate information on which charging stations were acceptable to even be able to apply for the rebate with), Zap Electric already had a hand shake from me agreeing to the amount in the quote (which was a complete WOW factor that was by far the best I had received), a scheduled time and date when everything was going to get started, and complete satisfaction in knowing that I not only found the best contractors but the best company around that I totally trusted to get the work done but that I would have come back for other electrical work that needs to be done that I know they are quite capable of handling. I can say without a doubt, ZAP ELECTRIC is "THE" company from here on out that I will be referring not only to family and friends but to anyone that needs a company that can be totally trusted from just even word of mouth. Greg and his team now only installed the charging station but also installed an EV charging station enclosure to protect it from not just the normal weather elements but enhanced security for the unit as well as potentially extending the lifespan of the unit itself and simple maintenance. From start it finish Zap Electrical was very professional, never left any messes behind after their work, and always made sure my satisfaction was guaranteed!
