We worked with Aaron, Stephanie and Hadiza to redesign our 4,500sqft urban lot. The design set they produced was amazing, creative and modern, defining zones for relaxing, dining, lounging, talking, playing and soaking in our future hot tub. We love the solution they came up with for our outdoor fireplace, which is the focal point on the yard and passively divides the adult and kids lounge spaces. They are good listeners and never made us feel embarrassed when we asked a question or made a novice suggestion. The way they presented the design, explaining the use and intent behind each space rather than simply what it is, enabled us to see how our family's life would fit within their design. We look forward to seeing their design come to life!

After my husband tried to do the work himself for 2 years, we decided to hire a professional. Our landscape was outdated with poor soil and I never felt myself looking outside.. truthfully I avoided it. We brought on Aaron to renovate our property, including the courtyard our AirBnB guests use. I didn't know what to except but I absolutely love the look of our yard and it's something I'm proud of. We've been working with HINISH Design Collective since Spring of 2019 and continue our collaboration to this day. The front yard makeover continues to evolve with new additions and revisions. Aaron's team did a fantastic job transforming our muddy, uncomfortable backyard into an inviting space we truly enjoy. The rear of our property sits under a dense canopy and was unusable for our daughter and dog. The design Aaron & Hadiza envisioned met all our needs, providing multiple seating areas and blending the existing architecture with new elements, all while using a naturalistic but low maintenance planting scheme. We now have a beautiful, modern and safe space for our daughter to play and comfortably entertain 20 guests. The construction process went smoothly. We hired Aaron over a year ago to develop a masterplan for our backyard which is oddly wedged between a stone cliff and our home. The space was unusable and uninviting. Aaron was able to create a wonderful outdoor space to entertain friends & family, where our kids can play in the pool while the adults lounge close by. His process is fluid, and although we had a number of major changes to the design & scope he was able to reconsider design solutions while maintaining communication and staying within budget. It's difficult to find a contractor who cares so much about the quality of work and is willing to adapt as issues arose. We've worked together for 18 months and have felt safe and confident knowing Aaron cares as much for the project as we do.
