Alex from Irvine AC & Refrigeration did a fantastic job and fixed the AC for us. He was able to identify the issue immediately after coming in. Unfortunately he's not able to find a compatible fan motor in the nearby stores for replacement, but he drove to another city during the rush hour to find the part, and managed to finish the job by working late hours. he also cleaned the condenser coil, added Freon, and replaced disconnect box. We were fortunate to have Alex come in and he fixed all the issues with our AC on the same day during the hot summer. He's easy-going and professional. Highly recommended!

We initially chose Irvine Air Conditioning and Refrigerator due to their competitive price last summer when we needed to fix the HVAC system in our rental place. Robert and his team eventually won us over by their high quality, efficient service and highly reliable customer care. Therefore when we needed to replace our 25 years old HVAC in our house last week, Irvine Air conditioning and refrigerator became our first choice. And again their professional work proved that we have made the right choice. They are not only excellent at the installation of the unit, but also pay close attention to all small details. They carefully protected and cleanup the working area to the extent that no trace of someone had worked there. After installation, Robert thoroughly checked all the vents and even fixed a long existing issue which is not supposed to be his job. They also called back afterwards to check if the unit works properly. Their work is beyond my expectations.

Stanley came to check on our leaky air conditioning unit on short notice. We discovered that our evaporator coil needed to be replaced, which was very costly. He came out that same week and did the repair with a three man team, including himself. Also be some adjustments to the vents throughout the house, and our air conditioning has been working, great since his visit. Good quality work, and Stanley is really nice. Would recommend if you have any issues with your HVAC

Robert and his team installed a whole new A/C and furnace in our rental property. I'm really picky about quality and service and these days, great service is pretty rare. However, the Irvine Air Conditioning team did a fantastic job. They were on time, price was fair and Robert was so accommodating! He and the team worked diligently on a hot/humid day to make sure that the new system was up and running ASAP so my tenant wouldn't have to suffer so much. I'm definitely using them for my next A/C service and will be recommending them to my friends and family.

Had a unfortunate incident with our furnace for our HVAC system with some crazy leakage and found these guys on yelp. Robert and Stanley were quick to come by later that day and diagnosed the issue. Apparently, whomever set up this unit prior to us moving in had installed it incorrectly. The sensors that were supposed to be a failsafe when an issue arises were not working. So the fix was unexpected and seemed like this would be out of my pocket for repairs. They were able to work with me until my funds came in and we made an appointment a couple days later for repairs. Stanley came in and went above and beyond I felt by replacing the pump with a new unit, testing everything for leaks, cleanup and removal, and explaining the entire process to me once completed. I felt the quality of work, attention to detail, along with warranty, fit the price and I'm so happy to have our A/C up and running again during this hot summer. I would totally recommend these guys for your A/C repair needs.

(2024) After an insane heat wave and AC seemingly not working properly, Robert came by for an appointment on time and reassured that the capacitor was just overloaded and still fully functional. He was prompt, very kind, and gave an honest appraisal that no repairs were needed so no charge for diagnostic. Will definitely recommend for their promptness, honesty, and customer service.

*Update - June 2025 scheduled Alex to come by to do a yearly AC maintenance before the summer. He was very professional, timely, informative and prompt. Gave very good suggestions and examples for the questions I asked—more importantly did not try to sell me on anything. Will be contacting again for my mom’s house.

This is the second time we’ve used Irvine air conditioning. Both times extremely professional job was done and clear explanation of the issues were given. Very happy with their work.

This was probably the best experience with a service company I have ever had. Knowing I was having to replace my A/C unit and ducting, I wanted to make sure with such a large purchase I would be making an educated choice with product and installer. After meeting with 4 different companies I knew Irvine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration would be my choice. Robert took time to explain what was needed and was the only company that told me my furnace was fine. The install went smoothly and the entire team was respectful, detailed and efficient. If you are in Irvine, need hvac help from an honest company with cost efficient solutions look no further than these gents.

Needed assistance as our air stopped working during this heat wave. They were efficient, came the same day and transparent. If you need fast service I would use them again.

Stanley killed it. Was super helpful, walked me through everything he was doing with our A/C system and performed maitanence without trying to upsell me anything super expensive. Told me how good the unit was still working. Love that type of honesty.

Irvine AC did a great job. Their price was very competitive and they went above and beyond on their work. They were very professional - arrived on time, laid down protection before they started work, kept a clean work environment throughout the day, then cleaned up before they left. They also did extra things for no extra charge that we didn't even know to ask for, nor were in their original quote. Examples include installing additional insulation inside furnace closet, upsizing the size of the duct work to improve air flow, replacing the air intake vent cover, etc.

Robert and team were communicative, professional, quick to turnaround, and extremely fair in pricing. Upon accepting a quote, I had a new system installed within a week! I highly recommend anyone who needs any sort of HVAC work to go through Irvine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Do not waste your time with other companies. Robert and his company is honest, knowledgeable, excellent communicators, reliable, and just everything you want in a repair or replace technician. He came to our house to quote us a bid for a new air compressor, and ended up talking us into keeping our existing perfectly good seven-year-old carrier unit, put some pads under it to fix the noise, and left with the simple request to post a review and spread the word. I will be doing both!!!
