I just got an HVAC through Mr. Poppy these guys are very professional ,very clean, fast. Installation was done in two days and removing the old ducting and furnace within 3 hours. Price was very competitive. I highly recommend Mr. Poppy Hvac and heating. There work is above and beyond my expectations.

I hired Mr. Poppy to Replace my 40 year old Furnace for a new 4 Ton Heat Pump+Air Conditioning. I feel like I hit the jackpot finding this company.

From start to finish, the job was done professionally. They gave me one price at the beginning of the job and that's the price I paid at the end, despite them having to do numerous upgrades to my ventilation system and my electrical box. The even used some of my crawl space to find a much more suitable position for the main heat pump which opened up other rooms for storage. They are magicians with air flow and managed to get air to rooms that have never had any flow. They even built me a custom vent for a large room.

The unit works amazingly. It's getting warmer and warmer in Berkeley and to have functioinal AC in the Berkeley Hills makes me feel like I have finally made it in life.

I worked with Soepa, Jerson, Edwin and Chuy. While they have a ton of collective experience, Mr Poppy is relatively new, so do yourself a favor and get on their books before they start charging a lot more.

Misa helped us move and clean up some old knob and tube outlets and extended some conduit for light fixtures. He was kind, organized, and precise.

Mr Poppy replaced knob and tube wiring throughout my house. They were so well organized and efficient from start to finish. The estimate process was thorough and Andrei really took time explaining each item and answering questions. For the work done, I believe the price was fair and it also included getting the permits and inspections which was great. They were very careful with my wood floors and covered surfaces well to limit dust intrusion. Some of the holes were bigger than I expected, but overall, they cut into the walls and ceilings respectfully. They were done exactly when they said they would be. You’ll be in good hands with Mr Poppy for your knob and tube replacements. I am happy to recommend them and would use them myself again for other electrical work.

I was hesitant to contact Mr. Poppy or any electrician for that matter because I thought I might have a job to small to be worth their time.
The lightbulb fixture in my kitchen ceiling had deteriorated and when I went to replace the bulb it had cracked and began to fall apart in pieces.
Fearing an electrical fire I contacted Mr. Poppy whose truck I've seen in the neighborhood. Andrei was quick to respond and came over to diagnose the problem. He said he had no problem in doing the repair, and we scheduled it.
The technician from Mr. Poppy showed up ON TIME, and was courteous and professional. He replaced the fixture quickly, and left his workplace clean and tidy.

Mr Poppy did a fantastic job removing the knob-and-tube wiring from our Berkeley Hills home. With wildfire risk and insurance non-renewals, this was a critical upgrade, and Andrei and his team were relentless in cleaning it up.

They provided a fair quote, communicated well throughout, and were incredibly thorough in removing all old wiring and bringing everything up to code. Despite old plaster walls and past remodels, they worked carefully and patiently. They even added a few extra outlets, changed out our attic insulation, and left the house clean and well patched afterward.

It’s a dusty job getting this work done but they were meticulous about protecting/covering the floors and furniture and keeping the dust to a minimum, even cleaning after the end of each day. There were some unforeseen complications due to my 94 year old house and I was amazed at how everyone pulled together and resolved these issues with aplomb and a smile to boot. Not only would I recommend these guys (I already did to my friends) but I’m already lining up a future job with them. You won’t regret going with these guys.
