Salvador and Santos did a terrific job in trimming five large trees in 4.5 hours (including the cleanup). The large lemon tree was pruned enough to be able to reach many interior lemons, whereas before they were impossible to reach without being stabbed by multiple thorns. I would highly recommend them both through Davey Tree.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the trimming of our redwood in November. Our experience with the service provided by Davey Tree Expert was seamless from start to finish. Firstly, the consultation with Dale, the arborist was truly impressive. He communicated what needed to be done, making notes and answering all my questions. His extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and patient manner gave me the confidence to move forward with this company. His skilled and experienced crew did a superb job with the pruning, shaping, and cleanup of the tree debris. In addition, the crew arrived as scheduled which we really appreciated.
We would most definitely use this company in the future and recommend them to family, friends, and neighbors.

The crew of Joseph, Linh, Cuong and Santos recently did some work for us. We had a row of oleander trees that we decided to remove to keep the dogs safe (poisonous). They replaced them with beautiful california lilac bushes that we are eagerly awaiting to bloom. The Davey Crew was prompt, professional, skilled and efficient as always. They protected our hardscape and cleaned up perfectly. Davey Tree is our go to anytime we need work done. Highly recommend them! Thanks gentlemen - we appreciate you.

The work was spear-headed by the recently-retired Dave Nelson and approved and scheduled by Joe Berg, who made contact with me every step of the way. The job was managed on-site by Raul and his crew team including Salvador and Coco. The entire team at Davey is reliable, friendly, energetic and always treat me as a client with respect.
My tree has deep meaning and significance for me and my family. Raul, Salvador, and Coco really understood that, and advised me all along the way about how to find the balance between preserving both the beauty and the health of my tree.

I am extremely pleased with the pruning work that The Davey Tree Expert Company did on my trees and overgrown loropetalum shrubs. I got two quotes and there was only a $5 difference in the quotes. I went with Davey’s because I was impressed with Patrick’s, their arborist, professionalism in our first meeting.
Communication was outstanding. Patrick listened to my concerns, provided several helpful options, took notes and photos. He will send a proposal with cost information the next day. I received a detailed quote via email. There was one tree that I had considered removing a replacing with another tree. Patrick provided suggestions for five trees for me to consider. I could not decide on a replacement tree and decided just to have that tree pruned. This required a new quote. I received a revised quote the following day which I accepted. I contacted Patrick via text message and scheduled work to be done the next day. I had a last-minute change in my schedule and Patrick was able to adjust their schedule to accommodate my schedule. I very much appreciated Patrick’s responsive follow-up.
The technicians, Raul and Coco arrived on time. Patrick also arrived to do a walk through and go over the work plan with them. Raul checked with me halfway through the work to ask if the pruning and shaping they had done so far was acceptable. I was very happy with the progress. When they were almost done, Raul suggested limbing up the loropetalum a bit. I liked the result and was thankful for his suggestion. Coco focused on pruning the trees. I noticed that he took the time to step back and look at his work from different angles to check his work. It shows that they care about the quality of their work. Raul and Coco did a great job.
It was a pleasure working with Davey Tree Expert Company as the process was seamless from start to finish. I will definitely be a return customer.

Quick version: I would definitely use Davey Tree again, wonderful experience.
Longer version: I had three issues - large debris pile to be chipped and removed, a few trees to be cut down and hauled off, and two stumps which needed grinding. The arborist came out right away to my property, assessed my needs, and got me a quote later that day. The Davey Tree team was able to come out a couple days later. The guys who showed up were super nice and very careful not to impact the rest of the property. The work was done quickly and the results were exactly what I wanted. And if you've never seen a stump grinder in action before, it's impressive to watch. Thank you to the Davey Tree team!

The Davey Tree Company came out to prune our trees last week and we were very pleased with their work. The crew consisted of 2 technicians, Salvador and Santos. They listened patiently to my concerns about our trees and went over the work details, explaining the reasons for the type of pruning they would do. One part of the work required our continued input and Salvador was very attentive and responsive to our requests. Our trees look healthier and our yard is brighter now because of their hard work. When they left, they cleaned up our yard and driveway very thoroughly. We are so thankful to Salvador and Santos for doing such a great job. We look forward to having them help us with our trees in the future.

Davey Tree did an excellent tree removal and canopy trim on all trees at the Hill Street Reservoir in Bay Point. We have used their services 3 to 4 times in the last 10 years and we have always received great service. Special thanks to the crew members Efrain, Fernando, and Jaycob who did a professional job.

David Nelson and his crew of arborists have maintained our trees for decades. Over the years, our 145 tall Monterey Pine had been trimmed and cabled many times to maintain its health and our safety as it was literally right outside our front door and therefore directly over our house.
In August 2021, we had the sad obligation to remove the tree. Climate change had made it a victim of oak root fungus, and there is no cure. David arranged for a 70 ton crane to facilitate removal and coordinated all aspects of a week-long and very delicate removal process. We were saved a slab from the base which confirmed that the tree was at least 120 years old and about 7 feet in diameter.
Our fine old pine was removed carefully and with respect by many of the same crews who had maintained it over the years. It was a sad event for all of us. A 35 foot tall pittosporum tree was also dying and removed that week.
David coordinated the purchase of some large,mature Japanese maples to replace the trees which had been removed, and some weeks later these were lifted in by crane and are now thriving in our garden.
It would be hard to overstate our satisfaction with the work and the results. Our many mature camellias, some over 100 years old, were carefully shielded from harm throughout the entire process, and our garden was left in beautiful shape.
This was one of the largest and most difficult removals that Davey has done, and all aspects of the process were carried out with exceptional care and professionalism.

Joe and his team were fantastic! They completed all the required work efficiently and helped us ensure we met the requirements for our fire insurance. Highly recommend their services!

Our crew, the two Jose's, were very friendly and efficient. While one worked on our large sycamore on a bucket truck, the other removed 2 bushes and trimmed 2 japanese maples. We look forward to working with them for maintenance in a few years.

We're very happy with Davey Tree Services in all aspects. Nicholas was our point of contact and the crew he sent out was amazing. The worked with us the whole day to trim our trees the right amount and not too much. We're very happy with the result.
