I don't write many reviews, but Lio James Construction more than earned this one.
Ron did exceptional work for us from start to finish. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with our new ADU — it came out beautifully built and exceeded our expectations. We're already planning to rent it out, and we couldn't be more confident in the quality.
Before committing, we gathered three separate estimates. Ron came in with the most balanced proposal — not the highest, not the lowest, but the right number backed by a realistic timeline. And true to his word, he finished ahead of schedule.
That kind of reliability is rare, and it made the whole experience stress-free.

We had an overall positive experience working with this contractor to build our home. He is extremely responsive—always quick to reply to questions and address concerns, which made the process much smoother. One thing we especially appreciated is that he stands behind his work. He consistently took responsibility when issues arose and continued to come back and fix items as required under the contract. Even when something wasn’t done properly the first time, he would redo it without hesitation.

That said, there were moments where additional experience and stronger supervision of subcontractors would have helped prevent some of the rework. A bit more oversight could ensure things are done correctly the first time, saving time and effort for everyone involved.

It’s also worth noting that our project was completed a few years ago, and I would expect that he has gained even more experience since then and likely improved further.

Overall, he is hardworking, accountable, and committed to getting the job done right. With more experience, I believe he will only continue to improve and become an even stronger contractor.

I cannot recommend Lio James Construction highly enough. Ron completed a 745 SF add on and full home renovation for us, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

When we were looking for a contractor to do our Bathrooms and Kitchen Counter Tops/ Back Splash Ron with Lio James was the only one to only mention the need for a permit and insisted on it. When we checked into this we found out that he in fact was correct and so we signed up with him. Over the course of the project his craftsmen were outstanding especially the tile and granite countertop people. They did a superior job and Ron even added some special touches for us along the way. We could not be happier with the results and I would recommend anyone to use Ron and Lio James Construction for their Kitchen and Bathroom projects.
