We just did all the bidding and screening for you and hopefully saved you a lot of time and hassle. We did our homework and got nine bids and Vince was right in there. We weren't looking for the lowest bid although they were, After a bad experience in the past with a different landscaper for our front yard (next review) we wanted to consult with several landscapers and this company was the most professional and responsive among them all. I even visited their shop and yard off Pacheco Avenue which was impressive.

They are insured and licensed. The work crew was VERY professional, courteous and efficient. I watched them throughout the whole process and they do quality work and don't cut corners. We are extremely pleased with the end result and look forward to enjoying our new backyard.

Steve and Vince's Landscaping gave us our dream backyard! I couldn't be more impressed by how reliable, conscientious and timely Steve and his crew were. We took out an old wood deck and did grading in order to make the backyard all one level; a combination of pavers and grass with a gorgeous wood pergola with a sun shade and patio lights. He also planted citrus trees and various other plants that make the backyard pop!

In a time when contractors are anything but reliable and who promise the world but then don't deliver it was so very refreshing to work with Steve at Vince's because I always knew I could get in touch with him about the project and I trusted that if something was going to cost more than what we agreed on there would be a discussion first.

It was so easy working with Steve on the and I could not be happier with the results. We are so excited to have friends over to enjoy the gorgeous much more usable space! I only wish they did kitchens! :)

Best contractor we've ever hired. We had multiple bids, 2 never showed, 2 were outrageously high, 1 never returned the requested bid after visiting. Vince's Landscaping was reasonable and similar to 2 of our other bids. What set them apart? Vince's Team came in and were the first ones to take elevations and discuss drainage before putting down concrete. Every worker was very conscientious. They cleaned up everyday even when it was super muddy. They had a relatively small job with us but treated us like we were super important. Alex called us everyday to make sure things were proceeding to our liking. We ended up with a gorgeous stamped patio and beautiful pergola. We will be using them again!

Honestly, landscape project progressed perfectly! Could not have been better.

First, I had a plan drawn up by Ian Hall, landscape architect. Very impressive. He referred me to Vince’s.
Steve (owner, at Vince’s) delivered everything promised and then some. He worked from the plan with great detail. He and his team were professional, highly knowledgeable and very interactive regarding choice of materials along the way.
Communication in general, from start to finish was impeccable. I really value that.
Vince’s Landscaping provides top quality, professional, well orchestrated service, delivered by highly skilled workers.
You get what you pay for. Steve’s bid felt high at the onset. But I went with him because I had a good feeling about his work ethic and professionalism.
At the end of the job, after seeing all that went into this project, I feel the price was very fair and I got all even more then was paid.

We just completed our second project with Steve. We couldn’t be happier in both occasions and wouldn’t hesitate hiring Steve and crew again in the future.

Our latest project was a complete landscape remodeling and it was completed on time and on budget. We are very happy with their proposed plans, design suggestions and execution, especially with the hardscaping.

Steve and his team were of the utmost professional. From estimating the job to construction they were always very transparent with not only what would appeal to you, but also keeping in mind your budget and the cost implications. I would recommend that anyone considering remodeling their yard, give Vince’s Landscaping a call for a consultation. I went through a few landscape contractors before I got to Vince’s Landscaping, and non of them gave the attention to detail that they gave. Their work speaks for itself.

We couldn't be happier with the work Vince's Landscaping did in our yard. We had a pretty finicky idea for a pergola in our outdoor dining area, and Steve's crew built something even better than we had imagined. We were especially impressed with the flawless carpentry work and the attention to detail. The crew lead, David, kept tweaking the smallest of details until his high standards were met. I'd hire Vince's Landscaping again in a heartbeat.

Vince's Landscaping was the best choice for our home! We needed extensive work done in the front and backyards (irrigation, grading, grass, planting, and more) and we couldn't be happier with the work Steve and the crew did. They were very professional, always on time (including with project completion) and genuinely wonderful to work with. We couldn't recommend Vince's Landscaping more!

We've worked with Vince's Landscaping multiple times, and love the way they work - responsive, practical, timely, cost-conscious, and environmentally conscious, while delivering a high quality and beautiful end-product.

Perhaps one of the best indications of this is that random people walking by our house often stop to take pictures and tell us how much they like the design. I've given out the phone number for Vince's Landscaping multiple times since our project was completed.

We worked with them once many years ago on a temporary small backyard redo, and we were so happy with their work that we called them again last year when we were ready to do our complete-yard full landscaping project after our renovation. We worked with Steve Martino, and his extended team of Vince's professionals.

Things we have really appreciated about working with Vince's Landscaping:
- Responsive - Steve would always respond to emails and texts in a reasonable amount of time, within a day at most, if not immediately.
- Sensible pricing - on both of our projects Steve worked with us to find appropriate solutions that fit our budget, identifying areas where we could cut corners, and areas where we couldn't.
- Work completed in a timely manner - the crew was on-site every day with many people, all working hard. Even though it was a big project that took awhile to complete, it was obvious that they were putting in a major effort to complete the project as quickly as possible.
- The foreman, Esteban, was very detail oriented and understanding - if we mentioned one or two things that we wanted done a certain way Esteban would make sure it happened.
- Great customer service - we were able to get some materials manufactured from a 3rd party vender quickly instead of weeks later due to Steve's relationship with the vendor. Also, a few months after the project was completed Steve came back to check on the various plantings, and in addition to replacing a few plants that weren't flourishing in their particular location, they completed some new plantings (including fruit trees) and irrigation that we decided to add on - for free.

Overall, a great experience, highly recommended.

Vince’s Landscaping just now completed our front yard, and I’m so happy with the results, I wanted to write a review right away! I contacted 5 landscaping companies for our small job (removing our front lawn and installing a dry creek and drought resistant plants with drip lines). Two of the companies never even called me back. Vince’s is one of the 3 companies that responded to my estimate request. I worked with Adam, and he was fantastic. He was always quick to respond and had great communication regarding all aspects of the project. The cost estimate was right in the middle of the two I received. The crew (with Lalo as the foreman, who was also fantastic), finished the job in 3 days. They were efficient and cleaned up everyday, but most importantly, they did quality work. The final result is even better than I had envisioned. Thank you so much Adam and company!

Although there was some wait time to get our project started because of how busy this company is, it was well worth the wait! Once they started the demolition of our old retaining wall/porch/stairway, the rest of the project moved along faster than I expected. We are so happy with the final design and quality of the work! These guys know what they're doing!

From our first meeting through project completion—and even for follow-up items—Vince’s was timely, professional, and a pleasure to work with.
They helped us transform our backyard with new drainage, irrigation, drought-tolerant landscaping, and improved fire safety and aesthetics. Their bid was complete and prompt, and they made smart suggestions that improved the design and lowered our cost.
The core crew was talented, respectful, and hardworking, and their specialists they brought in (irrigation, hardscape, electrical, etc.) were also excellent. The project started and finished on schedule, and Vince’s has remained responsive afterward.

We’re thrilled with the results and grateful for their dedication and craftsmanship.

We had a great experience with Steven and the Vince's Landscaping crew. They rebuilt out backyard, including the installation of a pergola and outdoor kitchen, and the results are stunning. I'd recommend their work to anyone, and expect to work with the team again on future projects.

Vince's Landscaping is the best! We initially used Yardzen to come up with the landscaping designs and then hired Steve to implement the plans. Throughout the whole process, Steve was engaged, knowledgeable, and responsive. He showed us some of the flaws of the preliminary designs and gave us better ideas for what was realistic to implement considering our budget, terrain, and timeframe.

Steve and his crew were amazing to work with - they showed up early, were detail-oriented, worked tirelessly in the hot sun, and were respectful and communicative every step of the way. Our backyard was transformed from an eyesore to an oasis that our whole family loves!

Steve was so wonderful that we used his services again for our front yard renovation and it came out beautifully. I highly recommend Vince's for all your landscaping projects!

Vince's Landscaping redid our entire front and backyard and did a great job. They completely transformed our property from tired and old to fresh and new. The project started a week before shelter-in-place happened (Mar 2020), but Steve kept in touch weekly began as soon as CA allowed workers back. In order to make up for lost time, they came back with multiple crews to level and irrigate the new landscape and then worked efficiently and with great attention to detail to make our dream yard happen. Throughout the whole process, it was a pleasure working with Steve as well as the crew in charge at our house. 10/10 would recommend Vince's Landscaping to anyone in need of a new yard.

Vince’s landscaping made our back yard goals and ideas a total reality. They created a usable and attractive space from a sloped dirt (mud!) lot (see first photo for before). We are obsessed with the finished product but I think the reason I’m most thankful to have hired Steve and his team at Vince’s Landscaping is their high quality customer service. In addition to a very coordinated up front visioning and planning process, communicating ideas, schedules, costs, and plan changes was so easy and stress free. The project was such an undertaking and once Steve was on board, we had confidence and clear direction. The project in the photos covers about a half acre and they turned it around (including building an entire deck) in less than 4 months. They really know what they’re doing and they are good people! 15 out of 10 would recommend and hire again.

EDIT 1 WEEK AFTER LAST REVIEW:
Unfortunately it seems like it took me posting the review below to get a call back. But I will say after posting that they called my wife the very next morning and told us they would come out and repair it since they were the ones that installed it. Vince himself came out to assess the damage and had a crew at my house doing repairs the following day. Broken sprinkler line due to pressure being too high which I never touched. So they’ve gone from five stars to two and now back up to four since they did end up getting a hold of me and coming back to do repairs.

EDIT 9 MONTHS AFTER JOB COMPLETION:
Money grab and poor work. After nine months of being happy with Vince’s Landscaping I’ve got a broken sprinkler line on a zone of my new lawn. They installed the irrigation along with the lawn. I have reached out to them multiple times simply to ask if they would back their work up or not. If I have to fix it myself fine, just tell me so, maybe then I’d only be slightly upset. On their voicemail they say they do not repair irrigation lines, but what about lines they have installed themselves not even a year ago? It’s been weeks and not even a courtesy call back. It seems they do your job, take your money and run. I paid over $10k for the job, you’d think first and foremost that at this price point their work would hold up longer than 9 months! But at the very least call me and give me some excuse why you won’t stand behind your work. In all fairness I will leave my original post below but I would definitely not give 5 stars, I am not happy with them and I would highly encourage anyone looking for a decent landscaping company to keep looking. You might be happy at first but after less than a year you may have problems. They don’t back up their work and these guys will ghost you.

Couldn’t be any happier. From start to finish Adam, Gregorio and the rest of the crew were helpful, professional and skilled. They went above and beyond what was expected of them and made sure they left a quality finished product behind. They cleaned up every day and left our yard with as little clutter as possible. Our front yard had a beautiful paver patio to start but nothing else. Old mulch and partial lawn with improper irrigation. Vince’s landscaping gave us a front yard to be proud of and will now draw people to the patio to enjoy the view.

Vince's Landscaping did an excellent job on our steep backyard project. What was a barren dusty eroding mess is now an irrigated and beautiful native plant garden. They were great to work with, did work beyond expectations, and were responsive to requests. I would recommend them.

Update 2025: After the first "atmospheric rivers" occurred the same year my garden was installed, the expensive decomposed granite walkway we had been recommended was completely washed out and spilled across the plants. Vince's response was unimpressive -- and they never offered to help fix the problem.
