Gasca Plumbing is where it is at! Over the past couple of months, we had a significant amount of plumbing work done — new washer and dryer valves, a new kitchen sink faucet with under-sink water filter, two new toilets, and some water pressure issues resolved. Andy not only handled everything flawlessly and at a great price, but he also gave clear and honest recommendations along the way, such as suggesting reliable toilet and faucet brands. We will definitely be calling Gasca again for any future plumbing needs.

We called Gaska Plumbing & Rooter and got an appointment for the next day. Edgar cleaned clogged dishwasher and sink hoses; and replaced a gasket in toilet tank. He was very professional and neat. 5 stars for this business.

Gasca plumbing is terrific---everything you'd want . . . quick, efficient, service at a fair price--and service by a knowledgeable plumber with great people skills. I called for a clogged kitchen drain that also ended up having a part of the pipe that was corroded. Andres (Andy) snaked the drain but also quickly replaced the damaged part of the pipe and then checked to make sure all was working right. It's a relief to know there's someone to call for plumbing crises that emerge in an old house.
Comments on subsequent visits: Andres and his crew have also replaced the waterline to the house, replaced the gas line, and most recently, come out to replace a cracked drain pipe. The prices are very reasonable, and the work is excellent and prompt. I couldn’t be happier and at this point have had a lot of experience dealing with this first-rate company. -
Our house lost hot water after torrential rain and after contacting Andy he was able to come next day to check out our tankless water heater after PG&E was unable to resolve the issue. Andy was thorough, helpful, and kind and helped us restore hot water showing us how to resolve this issue on own our next time. Great service!

Fair price, quality work, will use them again! They trenched and replaced the supply line from the meter to the house, with all the associated hardware.

If I could give six stars I would.
Here was my problem. A pipe break underneath the sidewalk. The first three pictures are what I dug out to see where the leak was and to show whatever plumber. I was going to call what was needed. On the street side the pipe exited at about 5 inches below grade, on the house side 9 inches below grade, so I figured if we could remove the caisson around the EBMUD meter there was a clear line to pull out the old pipe and put in the new pipe without disrupting the sidewalk above. So I investigated Nextdoor for my neighborhood and found Gasca to be highly recommended. So I sent him the first 3 pictures and gave him a call and he said it would probably be no problem. He happened to have a crew out in the neighborhood so they came by to inspect the situation. Afterwards we had a discussion about how this was all going to be done and he said it could be done without disrupting the sidewalk. The next day Andy came in with a crew of two helpers, and they dug out more around both pipes. They cut the old pipe on either end of the sidewalk and pulled it out and you can see the hole that burst through on what I think is probably a 50-year-old pipe or older. So Andy installed a new 3/4-in service from the meter to the pipe underneath the sidewalk then to the connection for the old pipe on the house side. Future proofing a bit and it also makes sense because at some point, because of a tree in front of the house, the rest of the pipe will have to be replaced some years from now. They were done and I think a little over 3 and 1/2 hours, and the price was very reasonable for the work done. I used to do construction on the side, I had an estimate and I had it actually came in a little bit less than that. Anyway, the job was fast, professionally done, if there's any future work like a new hot water heater, I'm giving Andy a call. It's a stressful time for me for reasons outside the house stuff, so it was really nice to have a drama-free experience. One other thing. After trying a national chain for a plumbing issue at my mother's house, I found the pricing to be absolutely outrageous. So that was another reason why I went to an independent plumber. Andy has been in business for roughly 20 years, he has a few trucks and a couple of crews and it was great supporting a small business.
