This is the second time I’ve used this company- impressed both times. Super professional, great communication from beginning to end, and clear cost to cure breakdown for repairs. Anytime my company needs a plumber in this part of the Bay Area- I’m calling Pipe Spy.

The team at Pipe Spy did an excellent job installing a lower lateral line at my residence in Oakland. It began by them putting a camera down the line at no charge to determine, I indeed needed a new sewer line. They were very straight forward, honest and made the whole process timely getting my compliance certificate from EBMUD in order to sell my property. I would definitely contact them again if I have any plumbing needs.

I called Pipe Spy on Friday and they had someone on site the following Tuesday (arrived exactly on time) to camera my sewer line, which has been clogging frequently. The Pipe Spy employee was excellent to work with and showed me several locations where the sewer line was damaged. I received a video of the line that afternoon as well as an estimate for replacement of the line. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quick service and highly recommend their service.

I needed to have the sewer lateral repaired for a commercial building and could not find a plumbing company that would respond/willing to do the work/or have the expertise to figure out the best way to get the job done. Pipe Spy was very efficient, professional, responsive and friendly. Their pricing was way better than I was anticipating. James was a wonder to work with. He was able to secure all of the necessary approvals and permits from the city and was very organized. I would recommend them for any of your sewer lateral needs.

Crew did excellent work in continuous rain on first day. Completed project on time, clean up was impeccable. Pleasure to work with. Cost came in as estimated even though they had to overcome a couple of unexpected issues. Cannot recommend higher.

My companies experience with Pipe Spy was great. When you have a job involving city utilities you need professionals. The job coordinator communicated with me prior to the start date and as soon as they completed the work. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing this type of service.

Pipe Spy was very professional and took care of fixing my Sewer Lateral in my backyard after purchasing my house. They needed to cut out a section of my patio to access the line to install a new clean out and were very careful with the whole process and even matched the color with new concrete to fill the hole. Very satisfied with the work completed. Thank you!

James and Jason from Pipe Spy did excellent work opening up our blocked 100 foot sewer lateral and then took a video to show the pipe was clear to the sewer main. They explained options for preventing tree roots from getting into the pipe in the future. I hope to use Pipe Spy for future plumbing work.
Pipe Spy personnel returned to replace a section of broken sewer pipe which had allowed tree roots to enter. They were careful to protect plants growing around the pipe and did excellent clean up. All in all we were very pleased with their people and the work they did.

James G was our main point of contact. He was professional, kind and time at all of our appointments and got the job done for our sewer lateral on time and with no snags. His team did a great job-- they had to excavate to get to our pipes-- I couldn't even tell work had been done after they finished. I highly recommend.

We had Pipe Spy come over to run a camera in our sewer lateral. We had not been able to find a clean out, but the service person who came was able to find it for us,( buried and covered with a brick!). Great service! I recommend Pipe Spy.

Emailed service and received a response in 5 minutes with a next day appointment.
Sonny came to the job site, he was very cordial.
Sonny finished the job in 1 hour, clearing away the sewer line backup.

I would definitely call these Pipespy for all outside sewer lines repairs.

We've used Pipe Spy for 20+ years on and off. They never fail to be honest and professional! This past week we felt they went above and beyond. We made an appointment for a maintenance clean out, since we've had problems before, and I spoke to Alex in the office, who was wonderful and helpful, and he gave me an appointment the next day, which was fine at the moment. Then my husband and I went outside so he could show me where the clean outs are, and realized that we had a severe sewer backup which we didn't know about, and it was all over our yard. I called Alex back and asked him if he could send someone out right away. He got back to me very rapidly and sent Sonny out here within an hour. Sonny was amazing!! He has worked at Pipe Spy for many years, and we felt that we were in the best of hands. He did his thing, was kind, honest and professional and super knowledgable! We were assuming that it was going to be a super expensive and big job with new pipes and all, since another company some years ago told us our pipes were "bad," which turned out to be bogus, he was just trying to sell us something. Sonny made the video and reassured us that all looked fine and that we should either have them come out yearly as maintenance or make sure to run water down the clean out every so often. I can't say enough about the company, but in particular the coordination between Alex and Sonny that stressful day! thank you again for your kindness.

Pipe Spy did tough sewer excavation work in a small space, and we are very satisfied with the outcome. Their crew was impressive to watch, very smooth operation. They had a professional and friendly attitude in addition to the good work they performed. Highly recommended!

It was a good experience working with the staff at Pipe Spy, Inc.
First off, I spoke with a person rather than having to leave a message with a computerized voice. I received the information
that I needed to proceed. Staff arrived at the home at the appointed time and did what was expected. The next day I received a detailed report and estimate of the cost of work needed. This included the cost for the city permits which
Pipe Spy would take care of getting from the city.
I was very impressed with their professionalism and the
personal nature of the way staff handled what could seem like
an anonymous job (in that staff does not need to enter the home
or interact with the homeowners).

We needed a sewer video for the building department and I was referred to Pipe Spy by a local architect. I could not have been any more pleased with the communication, price and how quickly they got it done!! I would 100% recommend PipeSpy! Thank you!

Pipe Spy came out to a project we were working on and gave us a quote for unblocking an area drain that had cracked and was filled with roots and debris. We accepted the quote and they put us on the schedule for a time that worked for us. They checked the job a few days before the start, arrived on time for the work, completed most of the job in one day and came back to finish clean up the next day. Very professional, kept us informed and did a great job
