When a lady needs her plumbing serviced i know who to call. Sid is a master plumber. Ladies for all of your plumbing needs call Sid at 5G plumbing. He gets the job done when my husband is to busy.

I called on Christmas and he answered and was able to come out immediately the next day. The technicians were on time and worked quickly to solve my problem. They were professional and clean, I Highly recommend.

I could not find a plumber for my Sacramento location that would answer or respond. Not only did these guys show up on time but they kept in contact with me updating me on times. Clean didn't cut corners and the job looked spectacular. Cleaned up behind themselves and left my employees ready to destroy my toilets. Thanks for being a part of my remodel! You guys rock. Had a wonderful experience with 5th Generation. They were on time, communication was perfect and they got the job done well and quickly. I’m a remote landlord and they made it very easy to complete the repair and pay over the phone. Highly recommend.

We had an issue where the kitchen sink was backing up into our master bathroom tub even though they were far apart in the house. Being a handy guy, I tried snaking the kitchen from under the sink with my 15' snake but wasn't expecting it to fix it since the clog was likely closer to the bathroom. I also tried snaking the line from the bathroom but couldn't get the snake to go down the correct pipe.

Due to limited time, I threw in the towel and decided to call a pro who likely had a long snake and possibly a camera if needed.

My first call was to Bonney. They had overall great reviews. The scheduling person couldn't tell me how much it would cost to do a simple snake operation but it would be $49 just to show up plus whatever work the tech performs. Many reviews said this is where the surprise charges start racking up, oftentimes into the hundreds. This is when I hit Craigslist to find a plumber who is likely just as skilled, if not more skilled than the Bonney tech would be but without all the big company overhead.

Sid, the owner of 5th Generation Plumbing, was one of the guys I contacted. He called me back pretty quickly and said he could come the next day between 11-12 and gave me a quote for snaking. I checked his license on the CSLB site as well as read some reviews. This made me a bit nervous because there were quite a few negative ones. Most of the negative reviews were not related to quality of work but were related to scheduling. This is quite common with trades people and is somewhat understandable as some jobs simply take much longer than estimated. I just wish they would communicate these situations with the next customers a bit better.

The next day, Sid called at 11:45 and said they were running about 20-30 minutes late. +1 for good communication. He showed up and quickly cleared my drain and tested the two problem drains. His charge was exactly what he quoted on the phone.

I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know who needs a plumber.

Our hot water heater failed at a really bad time. Sid showed up with the replacement water heater and had it installed in record time. It was a pretty tight space to work in, so we were appreciative that the work was able to be done so quickly and effortlessly. The area was cleaned up and put back together so that we didn't have to do anything after it was done. Very professional and friendly. Will have them do our bathroom remodel when we're ready.

They gave us a reasonable estimate, started work immediately and fixed our problem without issue. We would use 5th Generation Plumbing for any plumbing issues without hesitation!

I live in Sonoma county. My elderly parents, who needed a shower valve fixed, live in Elk Grove. After checking Angis List, and realizing I had to pay for a membership, and not wanting to parse through a bunch of quotes, I looked on craigslist. Besides my mom had already been without a hot shower for too long. Anyway, I found an ad underhousehold services. Figured a handy man could get the job done and didn't want to pay more for a licensed contractor. I sent a text and was a bit surprised when I saw 5th gen in the caller ID. Sid took my call and diagnosed the problem from a single pic. I was even happier when he gave me the estimate. It was right in line with what I wanted and expected! So we made an arrangement for me to pay over the phone while he was at my folks house and that he'd call me. The appointment was for the following morning. Well, I had totally forgotten about the appointment until much later that afternoon. I hadn't heard anything from my parents or Sid. I called my parents and they said it had been fixed and was working better than ever. I asked if they had paid. They said, "No." I mention all this cause it goes to show that there are people and businesses that are honest,fair and trustworthy. To sum it up- you can trust 5th generation plumbing to be a knowledgeable,professional, honest, timely, courteous plumbing company that does great work at an affordable price! Give them a call! I'm so glad I did!

I called 5th Generation Plumbing in the morning and the job was completed the same day. Sid arrived on time, was friendly, and considerate of my concerns and preferences. He diagnosed the problem and provided alternatives to remedy the problem. I needed the bathtub plumbing hardware replaced which included the hot and cold water stems, cross handles, bell flange, nipples and spout. Sid found the exact match for the stems I needed and the bell flanges that were perfect for what I wanted. His work was thorough and completed to both our satisfaction. Sid also told me to look out for any possible leaks before he left and assured me the work would be fixed if any problems came up. I appreciate and thank Sid for the work he did. Thanks!

They are a great company and have always been there when I needed them, even in an emergency!!!

My toilet was continuously running after flushing, and even jiggling the handle didn't stop it -- I had to turn off the water valve. I call 5th Generation to make an appointment and the owner, Sid, answered immediately. I was looking at my Calendar to schedule an appointment later this week or next, when he said they could come over within an hour...I was stunned. He arrived promptly, identified the issue (previous plumber installed the wrong size tank components, including flapper), and we discussed replacing the whole toilet which was 30+ years old with a newer low-flow toilet with higher seat. He gave me a reasonable estimate on the spot. Later that day he returned, replaced the toilet with a low-flow version, had me test it for height, removed the old toilet, and voila, he was done, in and out in 45 minutes! Before he left, Sid advised me of the warranty on the toilet and told me to call him immediately if I experienced any problems.

Great job, excellent service, reasonable prices. I recommend!

5th Generation Plumbing is an absolute pleasure to work with. They communicate great, do good work for a fair price and really made my DIY kitchen remodel come together. They are my go to plumber from here on out. I cannot recommend them enough.
