We recently hired Bay Area Tree Care Inc. for vegetation management and hillside cleanup in Pinole, and I truly cannot say enough good things about Fernando and his crew.

From start to finish, Fernando was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The crew showed up early to make sure they could start as close to 8:00 AM as possible, which I really appreciated. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and respectful throughout the entire process.

We had a steep hillside with a lot of overgrown ivy, lower shrubs, and areas that needed cleanup, including the patio area, along with selective tree pruning. I was very clear that I did not want the hillside overly cleared or stripped, as keeping the ecosystem intact was important to me, and Fernando listened carefully to exactly what I wanted.

The crew worked incredibly efficiently, did an excellent job clearing the underbrush and ivy while preserving the natural feel of the hillside, hauled everything away, and left the entire property — including the patio — immaculate. It’s hard to find companies that are this reliable, communicative, and respectful of your wishes. Fernando and his team delivered excellent work at a fair price, and I would absolutely hire them again!

I needed the fronds of my palm tree cut. They cleaned them up and now looks beautiful. I know I will call them again for any tree work I need to have done. Great work. Great people. I highly recommend.

Showed up on time. The team that did the work must work together all the time. It was like watching a ballet. Neat and no damage to anything including the shed that was right next to the tree. I will definitely use them next time. BTW: the price was very reasonable.

When you are managing over 1500 trees in sensitive areas you need to count on a smart and responsible people to help you out.

I have now used your service 4 times over the years. Every time I received great service including clean up. Very punctual, quick, friendly and helpful. Fernando and crew understood and did what was needed. Very professional. The trees look well trimmed. The trees that needed removal a year ago have not returned. Thank you.

I cannot give this company enough stars! They were absolutely wonderful. I did an online request for a quote, the owner called me a week or so later saying he could come by that day since he was in the area. He walked the whole property with me, advised me on what some of my trees were (I had no idea!), gave me a paper with a quote and left. No pushy sales techniques which I really appreciated. I called him a few days later to schedule the service.

His team showed up bright and early, the owners son walked the property with me again to confirm what I wanted done, and gave me some extra ideas. I ended up having 10 trees trimmed, and 4.5 trees removed. I asked them to cut the trees into semi-manageable logs and leave them for me to use as firewood later.

The owner also went and talked to my neighbors for me asking if they want my trees trimmed on their side of the fence! I talked to one of my neighbors before hand but not the other so I definitely appreciated them doing that for me! I had to leave in the middle of service but they were doing such an excellent job I felt perfectly comfortable leaving them. I came home to an absolutely beautifully done back yard! My trees all look wonderful, and they've brought so much more light into my back yard. Before they started there were leaves everywhere (I don't pick up my leaves as often as I should), I came home to a spotless backyard, not a leaf on the ground in sight.

I have found the company who I will have deal with my trees every year! 10/10 they are wonderful and I highly recommend them!

The Owner of Bay Area Tree Care provided me an affordable quote to have two trees cut down to 2 ft stumps, have ivy removed, and trim my palm tree. The quote was originally for $1200, but the gentleman stated they were a family business and would like to provide me with a $200 discount so I would consider them for my future jobs as well. I am all about small businesses, so I appreciated his approach and hired his team to do the job. When I got home to see the work that had been done they had completely cut down the two trees leaving no stumps as per my request for the asthetics necessary for the yard, and the ivy had only been trimmed and not removed per the agreement. When the owner of Bay Area Tree Care came to collect his check I discussed my absolute disappointment in his men's performance, and direction. The owner apologized deeply and stated he would ensure that two stumps of good quality would be delivered to me within a week. I had called every week for the last month and every week he stated they would drop them off. Now the asthetics in the backyard are completely off, and I will need to spend a few hundred dollars to replace on my own. I would not recommend there services to anyone.

I submitted an online quote request and Fernando called a couple days later and set an appointment for the following week. The day came for the appointment and he never showed up. I texted him and he has a "read" report so I could see that he read my text asking if he was still coming out- no response. I then called and no answer and it went to voicemail so I left a message. No one ever called me back! I'm so surprised by this! This is my first ever tree care appointment I've tried to set up and this is my experience. So disappointing.
