There are companies that are good at what they do, and then there is Need For Build. The level of pride, transparency and excellence this company puts into everything they do is outstanding. We met with Doron who explained in detail how their company takes care of their clients, from their above-and-beyond certifications to their invoice system that lets us play with the numbers until we find a project that fits our needs and budget.

We learned A LOT about construction while chatting with Doron, such as did you know that this team has both their general construction and a special license for landscaping work? Not every contractor has this and it is important. Again, above and beyond level of effort to truly demonstrate the quality of their team's work before they break ground.

I'm super happy with the new kitchen remodel! My family was also wowed by how it turned out. The whole experience from the very first meeting has been nothing but great. The design work is beautiful and the construction work is very solid. They communicate regularly and always addressed any concerns I had. Overall, a very professional company. We had our back fence blow down in a heavy windstorm. After searching on line and reading reviews we asked Need For Build to come out and provide an estimate and work plan. Kevin responded promptly and came out to assess the damage, listened to what we needed, and prepared an estimate that covered the work. Importantly, they were ready to start weeks before any other contractor I talked to. Start to finish we had 180 feet of new privacy fence built, painted, and installed in 2 weeks after the old one blew down. Other companies were advising it would be 4 to 6 weeks. The new fence is beautiful and solid and we are very pleased. I highly recommend this company. They are fully licensed, bonded, and insured, do excellent work, and leave the place better than they found it.

We hired Need For Build to fix up our front yard living space. Really, we just wanted a fence and a patio. Avi came over, listened attentively to our needs and wishes, and almost instantly created a complete vision of our new outdoor oasis in his mind. For the next 9 months, Avi and his talented crews meticulously executed his plan from computer renderings to completion, adhering to the highest standards in construction and design, adapting to our many requests and changes, solving unanticipated challenges when they arose, and responding immediately to any concerns we raised. Now, an unattractive grassy slope and “patio” cobbled together with unevenly-laid pavers has become an outdoor kitchen, covered patio, firepit area, private spa area, and turf play yard. In addition, we have new stucco, windows, doors, insulation, sewer line – and even a newly tiled fireplace inside.

It was refreshing to work with a professional contractor who conducts business with integrity, honesty, and transparency. Our contract was written in detail, including clear timelines for progress payments and work to be completed. Change orders were handled the same way. We did not make payments until jobs were done, and we only placed a 10% deposit to begin work, as required by law (how many other contractors have asked us for 50% or more just to start work?). We especially appreciated that nearly everyone that worked on our project is employed by Need For Build, and very little was subcontracted out, ensuring a high quality of workmanship. When there were glitches that need correction, they were handled immediately and without blame. We never heard excuses or blame-shifting. The job site was cleaned daily, the porta-potty was clean and serviced weekly, and materials were delivered on an as-needed basis, so as not to clutter our yard and driveway. Everyone who worked on our project was polite and considerate – they spoke kindly, dressed appropriately, and respected noise levels.

I am a very “hands-on” customer (not the easiest kind). I am attentive to detail and not shy about pointing out flaws and sharing frustrations. I was continually impressed and comforted by Avi’s gentle demeanor, authoritative command of every aspect of construction, and fantastic eye toward design. He calmly reassured me when I got worried, patiently explained things when I had questions, and confidently guided me toward the best decisions resulting in a near-perfect, new 1500-square foot outdoor living space that is the envy of all our neighbors. I want to especially give thanks to Mario, whose skills masterfully brought our new kitchen, patio and fence to life with a touch of perfection that I could never have imagined.

Today, we are beyond grateful for Avi and the entire team at Need For Build, for they have brought our run-down yard to life, enhanced the value of our home, and improved our quality of life. We cannot wait to continue working with Need For Build on our next projects, and we already know what they are!

Hire this company already - you will not be disappointed!

We have problem with our old patio cover and floor (the cover were rotting away and there were mold on the top, the floor were bricks inlaid that aren't pretty or even). After searching around and got some quotes, our friends ( who did a huge project to their backyard) recommended Need For Build Inc. to us. We met up with wonderful Rachel from Need for Build and she was able to address all our concerns. We are on a tight budget and they were able to work a plan for us. They aren't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but upfront and professional. We decided to have the area reconfigured and put down concrete. Rachel made it happened so quickly once we signed the paperwork because we wanted things done as soon as possible. Fernando is the foreman and his crew demolished the old patio, cleared out all the rubble, dig foundation and poured concrete within a few days! We got a new beautiful patio in a week! Rachel always checked in everyday to make sure we are happy with each phase or to answer any questions. They worked tirelessly and always smiling. Thank you NFB again for the wonderful job. I have been bragging about our new patio to friends and family. A very happy and satisfied customer! Highly recommend to give them a try.

We chose Need for Build for our kitchen and bathroom remodel for two reasons: They came highly recommended on Nextdoor, and their price was the lowest out of the three estimates we received. Overall, our experience was positive and earned them five stars, mostly due to the quality of the subcontractors that completed the work. All of them were not only highly professional craftsmen and women, but quality people as well. They were respectful of our home; were easy to work with, even when plans changed; and cleaned up every day. The result was a beautiful transformation of our home.
Our experience with our project manager and assistant manager was equally positive. We had daily communication via text with one or both of them about what was happening each day. The project manager paid attention to every detail, kept the project on track, and managed the schedule and costs. The assistant manager worked hard to make sure all materials were on site when they were needed, down to the smallest detail. We enjoyed working with both of them, and developed an honest relationship and open communication that served us well, especially when things didn’t go as we had planned.
There were only two areas of our project that were very challenging. The first difficulty was working with NFB’s partner company, Reece, which is where we were told to go to order all appliances and fixtures. It took weeks to get quotes; and then out of the 8 appliances we ordered, 5 of them were either damaged in shipment or missing parts. Our cooktop took 5 visits from the repair company (each a week to ten days apart to get new parts) to get it operating, which ironically made it the last item to be completed but the one we needed the most. We had the same experience when trying to order all the fixtures. In fact, we became so frustrated with trying to get a quote, that we gave up and ordered everything ourselves online.
The second difficulty happened on day ONE of meeting our project manager for a “free” estimate. After 3-1/2 hours, he told us he was ready to discuss our “contract”, and then said that the owner’s policy was “same day discounted price,” meaning that we were expected to sign the contract right then in order to receive a 15% discount (which was significant). No chance to review it, talk about it, ask questions, etc. We felt so pressured and disrespected; and it took months to establish trust and a working relationship - not a great start to our project. We would recommend Need For Build to family and friends for the quality of work from the subs and management; but “buyer beware” of the unknown company policies established by the owner.

Need For Build has restored my faith in contract work. They tackled several projects for us (retaining wall, turf, concrete stairs, railing, and a fence). They were able to start work quickly and got the jobs done very quickly. I like their attention to detail. In every step of the process they always put in that little bit of extra effort to make sure things looked nice. They even painted our old fence to match the new one at no extra charge. Huge bonus: they don't use subcontractors, so everyone who shows up to do work knows exactly what they need to do and who to call if there is an issue. We will definitely be using Need For Build for future projects.

Danny and his team redid our entire backyard in just under three weeks! Their quote was reasonable and I felt safe going with this company.
They provided us with a 3-D design and I must say, they took our vision and brought it to life. The landscape and hardscape came out outstanding!!

Need for Build is a must for your landscaping needs! We needed an entire backyard remodel and we could not be happier with how it turned out. From meeting Doron and discussing what we were looking for to the beautiful execution, the entire process was seemless. Doron was extremely communicative and his team was punctual. We value both those aspects and Doron definitely delivered. We were able to make tweaks and changes along the way to better fit our vision and he was able to communicate them to his crew and we could not be happier with our beautiful backyard. The job was completed well before the anticipated date too, so extra bonus!! For any future remodeling or upgrades, we will be calling up Doron at Need for Build. Highly recommend!!

Need for Build is Top Notch!! If you're going to get some landscaping done these guys are the way to go. They're expensive, but rightfully so. Their price equates to the quality and general reliability of the company. I worked with Doron so I can speak to his abilities as my backyard landscaping project manager. A+++ in communication and delivery of the results. Doron was personable, and made developing the project and execution of the project so much easier. You can rest easy knowing that the people the company uses for jobs have their backgrounds checked, and that once assigned are dedicated until completion. No delays occurred, and the finish time was ahead of schedule; even with the excessive rain we had at the beginning of the year. Need for Build completely transformed by dirt filled backyard to something family and dog friendly that we can appreciate for years to come. Highly recommended!!!!

Need For Build, Inc. does quality work! We hired them for our backyard hardscape project and we couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. The pavers especially look terrific. Mikey and Augustine are truly masters of their craft! They also built a retaining wall with bench seating that looks great and functions well with the fire pit they installed. All of the employees who performed the work were professional, tidy, and hardworking. Dylan was our project manager and he was very responsive to my texts and calls with any questions or concerns. He genuinely wanted me to be 100% satisfied with the project, and he made sure that I was. The company cares about the quality of its work and reputation, so we feel confident the work is built to last.

We had a great experience booking Need for Build. We had a few contractors provide bids on a mix of work we wanted done, which included siding repair, new concrete, tiling, and sod. Their bid was the best value and they completed all of the work in less than two weeks. We were told by nearly everyone who provided bids for the work that a match for our siding would nearly impossible to find, but Need for Build searched high and low until they found a perfect match (without delay to our project). The crew was professional and meticulous and ensured they cleaned each day before they left. Tommy was a pleasure to work with and kept in touch regularly. We will definitely be going to Need for Build for our next major project!

They did an excellent job which exceeded my expectations. The job was completed on time and everything went smoothly. Darrell did a great job of explaining everything and it all went as expected.

We met with a total of 3 contractors before deciding to go with Need For Build to build a retaining wall and replace our existing fence. Avi was great to deal with as was his office staff and crew and their pricing was competitive. They were all friendly and professional and the crew showed up every day on time. We had to make a couple of changes during the job all of which were handled in a timely manner and our job
was actually completed ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Need for Build for indoor or outdoor projects.

We had a kitchen fire last October and the entire situation was very chaotic and overwhelming for our family. We researched construction companies and came across Need For Build. We met with Rachel who arrived at our home with a reassuring and comforting smile. We discussed the project and she answered all of our questions. It was easy to decide to work with Need For Build and we are so happy that we did. Every person on their team was a pleasure to work with.

Rachel made the shopping for kitchen restoration easy – she went with us to the showroom, made recommendations, listened to us and we worked as a team in making the decisions on what needed to be purchased. We had great communication with our project manager Rachel, she always let us know when to expect things to be done, who would be arriving, if there was a delay she let us know right away, she was very responsive in taking our calls and getting back to us and coming by to check on the work being done.

The project turned out so much better than we expected! Just overjoyed with the entire process and really appreciate each team that all worked on the project.

We had Need For Build replace our roof that was aged and leaking. They came out and measured, then told us they could get a crew out in 3 days. Sure enough, 3 days later they came out and replaced the roof over the course of the next 2 days. Due to the slope of the roof they had to change plans on what material they could use, which led to our warranty increasing from 30 years to 40 years. There was no additional charge for using the longer lasting material or extending the warranty. Our contractor, Darrell, was very communicative through the entire process. He sent pictures and videos each day to update us on the progress and made sure everything was perfect before we made final payment. Overall it was a very good experience.

Patio renovation was done professionally and exceeded expectations. Michael and Russell are a great team and one or the other was on-site everyday. The work crew headed by Luis was great. We will enjoy the new deck for many years to come. Definitely recommend Need For Build for any home improvement project

It is literally hard to believe in these times you can get a contractor to show up, do the work, timely, for a fair price, and a quality result. If that is what you are looking for, you have found your company. I’m still literally floored that these guys are as good as they are when they really don’t have to be in this market to remain competitive. I read one review where the potential client said he/she was pressured. To the contrary, for us, they wrote up a contract with 40k worth of work, and let me pick and choose, add/subtract all throughout the job and were completely flexible. The workers were respectful, timely, and resourceful. They came up with truly creative solutions for sometimes complex problems created by our own design choices. In terms of managing the project, Jonathan did what he said, and said what he did whenever I needed him to do it. This should be your contractor, for projects large and small. Jim and Tiffany

The Need For Build team were professional, patient and a pleasure to work with on our bathroom renovations. They were willing to work with us to keep costs down without compromising on quality. Fredy and team were able to finish the job quickly and respectfully (which was great for me as I work from home most days). Ivan and Darrell guided us every step of the way in picking the material and recommending great suppliers, and they frequently checked in to make sure everything was going as planned and to our satisfaction.
