Ned Pratchett and his crew are top notch. Ned is extremely knowledgeable about trees tree care. He was recommended to us by an arborist who has been working in California for decades. We wanted to find a company that will do what is best for the health and longevity of our oaks and various ornamental trees. They also recently came out on short notice to trim some trees that had to be cut back for home insurance requirements.

Ned Patchett and the NPC team are stellar! Ned is a skilled arborist and comes to every job with an artist's eye. He truly enjoys creating works of art out of the trees on the property I have managed for 10 plus years. He and his team deeply care about the health of the trees. Along with being experienced, Ned and his crew are kind, caring and leave every job site clean. I will continue to recommend and sing the praises of NPC!

Reliable, knowledgeable! I like the family feeling and the fact that father Kevin is still around for occasional consults and my layman questions like “ what kind of tree is this?” Lol… Patchett’s rock!

KEN WAS GREAT --He sent the most experienced man to trim our fruit trees. After I trimmed them a couple of years ago, they didn't bear fruit until last year. I figured its more involved than I thought.
So pleased with the results. Flowers are all over the trees. Looking forward to the fruit.

The New Patchett tree removal team removed a large Valley Oak tree without incident. The team was talented, professional, and efficient. No damage to the tile roof, rock wall, stone patio, landscaping, nor adjacent arbor. They were a quality and able group throughout the entire project.

Excellent family-owned tree trimming business! Austin and his team thinned out branches and shaped 3 trees for us. I can't say enough about their professionalism, their level of knowledge about different kinds of trees and proper ways in which to trim them, and their willingness to work with the homeowner and neighbors to make sure that everyone's ideas are incorporated into the project. Everything was prompt and timely from the initial consultation with Dan to the scheduled day of trimming. I was also impressed with their level of safety equipment (helmets with wire mesh face masks and a state of the art lift to reach the higher branches). Branches were lowered down carefully and absolutely nothing was scratched or damaged from this sizeable project. I will be using Ned Patchett Tree Care again in the future!

Ned’s people did a great job of removing a large cherry tree from the middle of a brick patio. The tree was oversized and the root ball was damaging the existing patio. They did a great job, carefully removing the tree then spending a good deal or effort removing the root ball with their stump grinder and much hard hand effort. They did a great job and I highly recommend these professional people for tree work. They are now my “go-to” people for tree work and I am convinced they can handle the most challenging jobs. We are extremely pleased.

We called a number of tree companies to look at trimming the very large coastal live oak in front of our house. Dan from Ned Patchett Consulting was the only person who did more then look at the size of the tree and send us a number. He took the time to explain his thinning strategy, what signs of concern he saw with the tree, why most of those were not material, etc.

He also emphasized that on the day of trimming he would first dig down around the base of the tree to check the health before starting trimming. We are glad he did that because on trimming day it became apparent that there was severe fungus and the tree was unsafe and needed to be removed.

Unfortunately by the time we got a tree removal permit from our city Dan was booked up and we needed to go with another company for the removal. But based on his knowledge and the time he gave us, Dan will be our first call for future tree needs.

I wanted a professional, local, family owned business to remove my dead birch tree, grind up the stump, and plant a new large tree in the same spot. Ned Patchett Tree Care fulfill all my wishes. When Dan Patchett came out to review the project, he was very concerned that the new tree would get the proper watering. He even started looking at my sprinkler system to suggest what needed to be done to fix it. At the initial meeting, Dan let me know that the Company was booked several months in advance. But he confirmed a date in the future and kept to that date. They did excellent work in a short amount of time and cleaned up everything.

As a general contractor myself, I’ve worked with several arborists over the years. When it came to my own property and tree care, I called Ned Patchett without hesitation. We started with a consult and Ned was great. He provided us a lot of different solutions and recommendations for various trees as well as detailed pricing outlining all the options we discussed during the consult. He is very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience in the tree care industry. Scheduling through his office was a breeze. His crew showed up on time and were courteous, safe, and very careful in their work. They took their time with a keen eye and attention to detail. When the work was complete, they cleaned-up and took great care in not damaging any of the surrounding landscape. Ned Patchett Tree Care was overall a great experience and who I will call in the future.

Ned Patchett Tree Care and Consulting is a first class, thoroughly professional and exceedingly knowledgeable organization. A neighbor recommended them. I just had them remove one tree and trim/thin 14 others including 3 very tall redwood trees. Dan and his crew worked with me from proposal through clean-up and honored my objectives down to the branch!. Their bid was very fair considering the extensive amount of work. Customer communication and service is also high touch. Do not hesitate to contact them for any tree work. You and your trees will be in very good hands.

Unresponsive and estimates are over **2x** other comparable tree care companies in the Bay Area. I would definitely recommend shopping around and getting quotes from other companies.
