I’ve been using John for over a decade now. Hands-down, one of the most reliable plumbers I have ever met. He’s worked on big and small projects for me and always comes through even in the most inconvenient times. His work is top notch.

We smelled gas emanating from our fireplace the evening of December 30th. An Internet search next morning led us to Sunset Cliffs Plumbing and the owner, John, answered the phone. He offered a free estimate and came over at 1:00 that afternoon. His estimate appeared reasonable and he presented well so we hired him on the spot and he immediately commenced work. Despite it being New Year’s Eve and his fiancé was waiting for him at home, we finally insisted he go home at 7:00 pm and come back today. He reluctantly left, and did return later today and the job was completed in a professional manner; he cleaned up after himself, and as a bonus, he was delightful to talk to as we watched him ply his trade. John is very professional and knows his trade, I needed to get a water monitoring/ shutoff device put in for my homeowners insurance or my rates will increase a lot. So I called Sunset Cliffs Plumbing John showed up on time and gave me a window of 4hrs to finish the job which entailed a lot of work , 2 pressure regulators 2 ball valves, the water monitoring device and some new copper pipes and fittings, his soldering is excellent ! nice and clean and was done in 3 hours ! Anyone looking for an excellent plumber call Sunset Cliffs Plumbing , also you can't beat his rates ! John also lives close to me in OB and will be calling him for future plumbing repairs.

I cannot recommend John and the Sunset Cliffs Plumbing team enough. We have had 2 plumbing issues arise within our own unit and to the exterior water lines for our HOA over the past month and John has been incredibly helpful, responsive and timely to fix these issues within 24 hours of reaching out in each instance. John is friendly, knowledgeable and very fair and transparent with pricing. If you live in center or south county San Diego, John and the team are the best choice out there for any plumbing needs.

We had a backed up drain that flooded our garage and John showed up within 15 minutes of calling his number. Fast, professional, and a really nice guy to work with.
