Coastal is professional all the way from evaluating the project, proposal and scheduling, to contacting before arrival to performing an expert job, clean up and review before departure. The trees are beautiful and I highly recommend them.
I will return for all our tree-needs!

I returned to Coastal Tree Care to prune trees (Sweet Gums and an Ornamental Pear Tree) to remove dead branches and improve the shape and balance. Mission accomplished thanks to the excellent service provided by Sarah in the office, Justin the arborist and Brian and Miguel who did the pruning. These people know and care about what they do. How they approach and do their work makes me know I made the right choice

I’ve had Coastal Tree Care trim my trees regularly. They leave the trees looking great and they continue to look great as they grow out. Brian and Ben did a super job and cleaned up the yard so nicely when they were done! I highly recommend this team!

Josh and Miguel pruned 6 queen palms for us. They arrived on time, asked us how we wanted them trimmed and got right to work. They took care not to damage any of our furniture or lights. It only took about an hour to knock them all out. After they finished trimming, they brought everything out to the street and hauled it away. They were great about cleaning up after and left no mess behind. I highly recommend them for your tree trimming needs.

I did a basic Google search and found Coastal Tree Care and a few other companies. Specifically, I wanted experts to help with a struggling avocado tree. They were super quick to respond to my query, super knowledgable, professional, fairly priced...and perhaps best of all, I got the sense that they truly care about trees! I didn't expect that but I loved it. JUSTIN talked me through what I needed to do for my avocado tree and for all my trees in general. And the guys who came out to do the job were excellent! Thank you BRIAN, MIGUEL & DAN...you guys were awesome. My yard looks like new. Thank you!

I was beyond impressed with this company! From my initial contact, to the quote, to the actual service, everything was exemplary. I am so grateful for the thorough and detailed work they did on our fruit trees and how respectful they were of our property and time. Brian was especially great, taking time to explain what he was doing, why and answering the questions I had. Will definitely be using this service again.

Brian, Evan, and Ben were wonderful. They took the time to walk me through their process and confirm exactly what they would be doing. We have several large very old trees, and their main concern was not to do anything that might effect the health of our trees. When they were done, everything was neat and clean. If you want beautiful healthy trees I recommend Coastal Tree Care.

We had our giant podocarpus tree fully reshaped in October. Every time I walk by or look out at this tree it makes me so happy. Coastal Tree Care did a fantastic job. This company was super professional and easy to work with. The arborists were hardworking and knowledgeable. Truly excellent work! We will definitely hire Coastal Tree Care the next time we need a tree trimmed.

We have a poplar in my yard, planted during the Vietnam era. Honestly, we love this tree and it was one of the reasons we bought the home way back when. Unfortunately a large part of it (it's a pretty big tree) was covering the solar panels. I needed to safely remove one whole side at the split, just about 6 feet up. Coastal had good reviews so I called them, hoping to save as much of the tree as we could while still freeing up the solar panels. Scheduling was a challenge, both for the initial bid and then, when they canceled the first time I though I had made a mistake. When the guys got here though, I couldn't have been happier. Super pro, they took great pains to clear off the deck and patio before dropping down protective mats and plywood (some of those sections were upwards of 400 pounds I'm guessing). They dropped that half of tree right between the house and the pergola no problem, cut it up and hauled it out, leaving the backyard (and the roof, lol!) cleaner than when they'd showed up. They even kept the raised vegetable garden completely clear. Personal thanks and recognition to Victor and his crew: Josh, Evan and Miguel. Great work guys and thank you. Cheers!

They did excellent work cutting several pepper/small palm trees down, trimming a few large palms and trim and advise restoration of my elm. Great work with no mess or damage to my property or turf. Highly recommend!

CTC pruned our 80 year old Brazilian Pepper that was in need of some TLC. We were so pleased that we went with these guys because they were so careful in their pruning decisions, and the tree looks so beautiful and much healthier. I wish I had taken before and after photos. A few other things to mention: the three young men who showed up (Josh, Gary, Evan) were super hard workers, really knew their stuff and were very eager and professional. They also took the time needed to answer our many questions and cleaned up superbly. I would use them every time.

I used them earlier this year to prune a giant pine tree in my backyard. I got several estimates and they weren't the cheapest but they were worth every penny I paid. The crew was professional, they explained everything, they were on time, and they left my yard cleaner than they found it! I recommend them to everyone who asks about tree trimming! My tree looks better than it ever has. You won't be sorry if you use this company.

Definitely 5 star service. We had a tree removed and Josh and Miguel did such a fantastic job in no time and were so careful about the rest of the yard and where the branches fell. Gary finished up a few things a few days later and he was so enthusiastic about his work and trees and gave us such good advise on how to care better for them - We were simply amazed on how good they are - we will definitely have them back when needed.

We had some trees with health issues and another company had done some bad trimming and Coastal Tree Care was amazing to help us fix the problem! Justin is an extremely knowledgeable arborist and helped us come up with a great game plan for the long term health of our trees. Victor and his group did an amazing job trimming our olive trees and sterilized their tools along the way to make sure our tree health was top priority. They left our yard cleaned and trees looking beautiful!

I live in a densely populated area of La Jolla. Recently my neighbor had their trees trimmed and, despite efforts to protect our property, a branch impacted and damaged our fountain. The worker from Coastal Tree Care was very apologetic and gave me a card so I could call to resolve the issue. I should preface this by saying this isn’t the first time we’ve had damage resulting from our neighbor trimming their trees. Both tree companies took steps to protect our property, both times there was damage, both times the problems were addressed. This time however, Joseph, with Coastal Trees Care really stepped up. He immediately searched for an expert with the very specialized ability to repair a one of a kind fountain that is very important to us. Communication was constant and positive. The repair was fast and professional. Joseph was hands on all the way through the re-installation of the fountain. Our fountain is good as new and, by the way, they did a great job on our neighbors trees! I can’t say enough about the professionalism and integrity of Joseph Eves and Coastal Tree Care.

I've used Coastal Tree Care several times and each time was great from beginning to end. They have always been very friendly and tried to get me on the schedule as soon as possible. Emails are answered quick and they call when they are on their way which is a nice perk. Each time they've been to my home there is no trace of them after. Everything is cleaned up nicely. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future.

Simply the best experience that we've had in 20 years of tree pruning at our residence! CTC's response to our inquiry was prompt, the proposal visit was scheduled promptly, the service recommendations were well-informed, and its proposal was clear and reasonable. In fact, considering the quality of CTC's services, it turned out to be better than reasonable.
The pruning team was courteous, careful and thorough, and they left our yard in a good, clean condition. Our trees have never looked better, and as a bonus, our neighbor thanked us for the pruning team's considerate approach in dealing with them. Remarkable!

We needed a new tree care company after 25 years with our prior company. Tried Coastal Tree for a very challenging project: Major pruning of our ancient eucalyptus in rather confined backyard space, while saving our precarious 50-year-old tree house. Josh and his crew did a great job on branches reaching 20+ feet above the prior "knuckles" which were already 20+ feet from the ground, with the large treehouse and its deck perched in between. They were professional, careful, and did through cleanup. Their pricing was in the ballpark of the other bids we got. I suspect the project took longer than anticipated because of the logistics but they simply finished the job true to their bid. Sarah in the office is responsive and courteous. Altogether, a very good experience!

These guys did a great job from the start. Justin came out and gave me a solid estimate, service was scheduled later that day and everything was seamless. The crew that came out to trim my tree was super professional, very knowledgeable and explained exactly what I should do and expect with future growth. My particular situation presented a challenge with where the tree was in relation to my house and my neighbors house as well as sat on a very steep incline and these guys handled it perfectly. They left no mess, offered to sweep areas that weren't even affected by the trimming. 5/5 for sure. Won't ever use anyone else.
