Helped me diagnose a broken gas water heater. We originally thought it was an issue with the gas valve / pilot, but he helped me consider it might be an exterior heater we recently added that was using undersized pipes. Was on time and helpful, thanks!

We weren’t sure what was going on with our water heater that kept leaking. Pipe Whisperer came out to help quickly, and Mac instantly identified the issue. Since it was a quick fix he even taught us how to do it ourselves. Our issue is now completely fixed! Really appreciate him coming out and being so helpful and honest. The Pipe Whisperer (BTW, best name ever for a plumbing business!) was fantastic - came right away, and handled/solved a very frustrating clogged pipe within our primitive pedestal sink. Super reasonable, highly recommend!

The Pipe Whisper truly lives up to the name. Our washer wasn’t draining and water was coming out around the washing machine pipes, so we were pretty stressed. He arrived on time, listened carefully, and diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained what was going on with the drain setup, secured the connections, and made adjustments so the system would drain correctly. He then ran a full test cycle to be sure. At first there was water coming out, but he fixed it and everything went back to normal. He also went above and beyond by checking the shutoff valves, looking for hidden drips, and sharing simple maintenance tips to prevent future issues. Fair pricing, clear communication, and he left the area clean and dry.

Pipe whisperer is our new go to! Mac fit us in same day on a Saturday. He came at 7pm, which was much appreciated in a a plumbing emergency! He took his time diagnosing our problem, explaining the options, and ultimately advised that we let it resolve without intervening. He promised to return if the problem persisted, but he didn’t want to charge us for services we might not need. And, he refused payment! Turns out he was right — saving us a ton of $$! He was extremely skilled and trustworthy and we will return next time we need a plumber!

The Pipe Whisperer came out late (8pm) the night before New Year's Eve, which alone deserves appreciation—but on top of that, they did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing. They identified and permanently fixed a complex problem under the kitchen sink that other's couldn't solve. Everything was handled thoroughly and with care, and they didn’t rush despite the late hour. Really grateful for their responsiveness and quality work. Highly recommend.

The kitchen ceiling on the second floor of my three-story residence experienced intermittent water leaks. After consulting several professionals, Mac was the only plumber able to accurately diagnose the issue. To investigate, he carefully cut a square in the kitchen ceiling plaster (not the roof) and traced the source of the leak to a plumbing joint. Rather than immediately replacing the joint—which would have required additional access—Mac methodically isolated from the problem. He determined that the leak originated from the third-floor bathroom shower head, not from the bathtub faucet or pan.

Additionally, I found a Yelp review commending Mac for resolving a similar kitchen ceiling leak. Another review, written by a retired plumbing and water detection specialist, praised Mac’s expertise and reasonable pricing.

Mac came in the middle of a rainy night to handle an extremely urgent and difficult situation with overflowing sewage. Despite the conditions, he arrived quickly with a positive attitude and total confidence, which helped calm us down during a very stressful moment. He worked efficiently, explained everything clearly, and resolved the problem thoroughly. We are incredibly grateful for his professionalism and the huge help he provided when we needed it most. Highly recommend!

Mac came out to help with our toilet flooding the house at almost midnight on a rainy, windy night. We were in such a helpless situation, but Mac arrived quickly, knew exactly what to do right away, and brought all of the tools to get the problem cleaned up and fixed. Mac has such a positive, can-do attitude, and is so knowledgeable and comfortable with the work he does. As soon as he arrived, we knew we were in good hands and that everything would be fixed. Very reliable and honest plumber, who truly knows what he’s doing! 5+ stars! Would highly recommend him!

Mac is friendly and a good communicator. He took on a challenging job at my house: re-routing the outgoing sewer line through bedrock. I appreciated his frequent, candid updates on the status of the project. He is trustworthy and hard-working.

Mac at Pipe Whisperer is absolutely the best! He scheduled me quickly for a leaking drain pipe in the ceiling. The old galvanized pipes have rusted through after many decades. Mac crawls into the narrow ceiling space to FaceTime me the nature of the problem. He gives me a very reasonable quote, and worked diligently all day (6 hours) to replace the old rusted galvanized pipes with new cast iron pipes. I give Mac my highest recommendation for professional, knowledgeable, reliable plumbing service!

Meh. Like pulling teeth with this guy. At first I thought the guy was pleasant enough. Timely. Respectful. He was mostly positive about the situation with my water heater. Reluctantly at first, he tried a couple of options to troubleshoot and ended up having to replace the whole unit. Not ideal, however the plumber was able to replace the water heater in a day. He came back after the initial inspection the next morning with a new heater and got to work right at the time he told me he would arrive. Punctual. He did his work, I paid the man, and he went on his way. After inspection of the work he performed I saw what he had done to make my water heater fit inside the unique space we have; he installed it wedged on an angle against my furnace so that I can't perform maintenance on my furnace. When I asked him to come back and take a look at it and help me with solutions, he gave me a whole bunch of attitude about how the space doesn't work and that we shouldn't bother because that's how the heater fits. Now he wants to charge me $500 to come and take a look at his previous work. Hmmm.
