Great people and first class service

I would definitely recommended this business to professional plumbers and DIY plumbing folks in SF. Shopping with Sigillo Supply with their plumbing knowledge, customer support and neighborliness felt like a familiar local shopping experience from a bygone era! And the prices to buy 2 new pipes and replace inferior quality materials from a big box hardware store (that I mangled from misuse and improper fitting pipes) were fairly close in cost. This was another reminder - shop local!

The kitchen sink in my apartment started to leak. When I looked inside the cupboard, I noticed the sink drain assembly had completely corroded and separated from the drain pipe. To learn something new, and get the sink fixed quickly, I first bought supplies from Lowe's. After buying a new sink drain assembly and some locking ring nuts and gaskets, and trying to reassemble the drain pipes, I realized that part of the problem was 2 of the metal pipes were much too short and didn't align well. This resulted in additional leaking I hadn't even been aware of! After trying to force the existing pipes and new O ring nuts and gaskets together, I damaged the 3 of 5 gaskets! I needed better supplies, and a little bit of plumbing insight not provided by YouTube 'how to' videos.

I called Sigillo Supply in my neighborhood 30 minutes before closing to see if they would sell retail supplies - and they do. I ran over to the warehouse and had the most pleasant, informative, and gracious customer service. The owner arrived moments after I arrived and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. One of the replacement pipes needed to be cut down in length, and when I told them I didn't have a pipe cutter, they cut the pipe down to the length I needed! I don't want to set Sigillo Supply staff up for future services they don't typically provide, but I was so grateful for this service. And the tips & tricks the owner shared made the reassembly of the drain, with the correct lengths of pipes all the easier and faster.
