The guy was really helpful. I called in to see about a service call, but first he went over a few troubleshooting tips and wow I got my heater to work . He saved me money when he really didn't have to, I have to say stand up guy he is.

We have used R & B for many years for repairs of our old Heating & AC system, installation of a new Heating & AC system plus ductwork during a remodel, and now checking/maintenance of our new system at our request. They have remained consistently professional, skilled, reasonably priced, and honest, reflecting the values of the couple that run it.

Brandon was the consummate pro. He diagnosed the problem checked all other potential issues and replaced the thermostat.
Super competent and friendly people who wore masks the entire time, and explained everything they were doing. Great locally owned, family owned business to support in San Jose.

Our Bryant heater broke yesterday, and Brandon showed up 2 hours after we called. He was punctual, and quickly spot the problem, and explained the overall repair to us clearly. The repair cost was very reasonable. R&B also installed our air conditioning unit last year, and when our heater broke, we didn't even call other companies to compare quote. R&B is our one stop shop for HVAC from now on.

Brandon and Joseph were very courteous. They did a very thorough job and made the unit very clean.

The technicians showed up on time and did a great job locating the issue with my AC system. Brandon and Joseph fixed the issue and had my AC working in less than an hour. They were a good team.

Brandon and Joe came by today to take a look at our HVAC unit (Bryant) and were able to diagnose and address the issue in under 2 hours. Our system lost 2 lbs of refrigerant and they added more to get it to cool adequately. They also found a pinhole leak at one of the connections that the original installer (not R&B) should have taken care of. The unit is only 4 years old. They also took the time to clean the unit while they were here. Thanks Brandon and Joe!!

Brandon and Joseph were great at diagnosing and fixing the heating system. They even turned up early since they were close by. Showed me how the system stops due to dirty filter and let me video while he reset and fixed it. Highly recommend them.

Brendon and Joe showed up on time, Lori called to say they were ahead of schedule. They diagnosed the problem quickly and Brendon led the repair efficiently. He explained everything in detail and I felt comfortable with the service. I will have them back out for summer service or if any problems that occur.

Brandon and Joe arrived on time to perform a maintenance review of my heating system - they did a thorough job and told me what I needed to do to keep system operating efficiently. They added one part, fixed the wiring on my thermostat and changed the air filter. Brandon knows what he is doing, is very personable and will not over sell you on what needs to be done. I always trust his advice and will continue to utilize R&B Heating services in the future. They have kept both my air conditioning and my furnace operating well through many years.

Charged $150 for labor for replacing the hvac capacitor which took 5 minutes. Did not mention the labor charges upfront and I thought the $85 upfront fee should cover decent part of it. I have never seen anyone charging $150 for labor. Charged $65 for capacitor which I know is not more than $10. It’s fine they want to charge some premium but $65 really?

Atleast should have mentioned the exorbitant labor costs upfront before doing the repairs. Not honest way of conducting business.
