I was impressed by Brian's frankness about the job we asks him to do. There was no beating around the bush in quoting us what the cost will be and my wife & I really appreciated that about him. He was very professional about the way he dealt with us and there was no room for misunderstanding about what we expect from his work. He always return calls if either I or my wife have any question and that was really a big thing if you are a customer. If he missed a call he made sure he got back to you. We like his professionalism and will not have second thoughts of hiring him again.

Brian installed a whole house backup Kohler 38 KW generator for our house.
I found him to be very professional who wants to do everything right, by the book. He is knowledgeable, hardworking and committed to doing a good job. He is also very polite, friendly and responsive.

Brian and Eric are very good. They know what they're doing, and are easy to get along with. Our project finished 3 days late but, for an initial estimate of 4 weeks, that's quite impressive. One heads-up is their preference to work later in the day, contrary to my previous stereotype of the early-to-rise contractor. Brian manages projects well: he uses contracts and online billing, and is very reasonable when resolving issues or changes to the plan. Overall, I'm happy to recommend them.

Avant Electric, Inc. was my chosen electrical contractor for replacement of my aging home electrical panel. The original
electrical panel was installed with the building of my home back in the 1960's. It had finally worn out and needed
replacement.
I did my due diligence and requested three quotes from contractors in my area, checked their status with the State
of California, and reviewed their customer reviews, comments, and feedback.
Avant Electric, Inc. quote fell in the middle of the quotes that I had collected. This information combined with hiring tips, suggestions, and opinions
from other various sources, led me to select Avant Electrical as my contractor for my project.
Starting from meeting Brian for my quotation, (he is the owner and primary contact for Avant Electrical), to his team of very professional electricians, my experience with this electrical
panel change-out/upgrade was EXCELLENT! He and his team are quick, efficient, responsive, and always open to answering any of your questions from the beginning of the installation, to the
city interface and permits, explaining what equipment is being installed, to the final repairs and cleanup. He is VERY approachable, always greeting you with a smile, and
goes out of his way to communicate everything to you from billing, permits, scheduling inspections and final project close out. His flexible communication style
and transparent sharing of his knowledge was very very refreshing and quickly caught my attention that this was the electrical contractor for me.

Avant Electric Co. rescued me from a scam local electrical contractor by helping me reinstall the new 100 Amp house electrical panel to meet San Jose city codes and permits. The panel was previously installed by the scammer that left many important things undone including not pulling the permits as agreed upon.

Avant Electric did not take advantage of my situation and did not try to make my problems look bigger than they were, unlike three other contractors that I got new quotes from. Brian, the owner and Eric, a dedicated, reliable coworker, did all they promised. Eric often stayed late to make sure the goal for the day was completed. They helped with the permits and inspection. The project passed without a hitch. Above all their cost was fair and reasonable. I easily give them 5+++ rating and highly recommend them.

Brian had great communication and was very clear about pricing before he started the job. He was able to fix all of our ballasts that were out and our studio is nice and bright again!

Brian is a smart electrician with a no nonsense approach. I hired Avant for a number of electrical projects, including a major renovation. Avant was one of the best electrical contractors I've ever dealt with. Brian installed a fixed generator to automatically provide power to our house during power outages. He was extremely responsive and was really great communicating during the entire multi-week project. Very professional, thorough, and diligent. I'd use Avant Electric again for any new projects.
