Our journey with Banning & Sons began with a kitchen remodel. Upon the initial walkthrough with Leon, it was immediately clear that this team was reliable, punctual, and respectful of our home. The swift demolition was immediately followed by their electrical team laying out a comprehensive plan that transformed our two-outlet kitchen into a truly functional space.

In the midst of our kitchen remodel, we encountered an unfortunate incident with a separate contracting company that was handling our bathroom, a project funded by insurance. To cut a long story short, having seen the exceptional work Banning & Sons was doing in our kitchen, I decided to entrust them with the bathroom repair as well, a decision they graciously accepted.

Despite exceeding my initial budget, I was relieved to find that Banning & Sons provided no surprise bills or invoices. Both Leon & Adrian maintained a high level of communication throughout the project, ensuring that any decisions were discussed beforehand. Changes to the work order were managed smoothly and without hesitation, and any necessary follow-ups were actioned promptly by their team.

The professionalism of the team was noteworthy, characterized by respect, kindness, and in some cases, appreciated quietude. The most delightful outcome of this remodel is the newfound tranquility it has brought to our family home. The soothing lighting and open spaces have facilitated more quality family time. The aesthetic appeal of the new areas even inspires me to clean more frequently!

As we eagerly await the final touches - a cabinet and backsplash - I can confidently say that I am already in possession of my dream kitchen. A goal I've had for six years, and it has undoubtedly been worth the wait.

They remodeled our kitchen and laundry room which look great. They installed a beam for the open concept kitchen. The teams construction skills are very good and they knew our era of house well. The plumbing and electrical work are solid. The outsourcing was mostly good. The tile and dry wall were great. They also recommended a great cabinet and countertop shop. We had a substandard stucco subcontractor that made the experience not perfect. The finishing work was a little delayed as well. They had two real good workers for finishing and a few that were confused without adequate directions/experience. At the end, they delivered a great result with a shorter timeline than anyone else. Bruce made many great recommendations, notably for lighting and the floor plan. I highly recommend them.

Had a contract with them for a kitchen remodel. They did one day of demo then disappeared for two weeks claiming they couldn’t complete rest of demo til their framer looked at the wall. We waited almost two weeks for them to give us an extremely high quote for rest of project. We told them we were in a tight timeline but they took their time. During this time we asked other framers who came in at half their cost. Unlike most of their clients, I’m familiar with general contracting. Bruce, the owner, realised I wasn’t taking his high change order gimmick and said he would not work with us since we were getting other quotes from other contractors. He claimed I was doing bait and switch on him, the contractor?? Also, their drywall work was subpar and we had to hire other contractors to come in and fix their work. Banning wasted our time and cost us time and money on our renovation.
