Mike and company at North Lake Construction has done excellent work on our house multiple times. The latest home improvement was installation and finish work of adding skylights to the uptairs, creating an amazing lighting feature. The crew was professional and courteous, with excellent communication throughout the process. End results are always on point!

Finding a reliable contractor in the in the Lake Tahoe region is difficult. I hit a home run with North Lake Construction. I had just purchased a beautiful cedar hot tub, but needed steps and cabinets to finish the project. A neighbor recommended Mike, the owner the the company. I gave him a pretty vague description of what I needed and he took it from there. The results were absolutely astounding. Since then, North Lake Construction is my go-to contractor for everything. Prompt, professional, organized and always keeps me in the loop. Highly recommended!

It can be difficult to get a contractor in Truckee but Mike responded within hours. He and his team replaced both the front and rear decks. The rear deck was a conventional design with joists, deck boards, and stairs down to grade. The front deck used 6"x16"x20' beams for support and one of those had to be replaced. No small task but they got it done. They upgraded the support structures for the beams too. They also stained all the lumber prior to installation and then again afterwards. They did good work and I recommend them.

Highly recommend. Replaced existing railings on three decks (Truckee). Very high quality work. Asked Mike to look at another issue that I had at the house, he recommended not doing anything after some close inspection and sound reasoning. He wasn’t just trying to make a buck out of my ignorance. He recommended another company to replace an AC unit - excellent work there also. Hard to find people with Mike’s combination of skill, responsiveness, trustworthiness and price in this area.
