Today Scott and Zack and crew came to our house and removed three huge cedar trees. Two of the trees were over 100 feet and two of the trees were in extremely tight places as well as one of the major trees hung over Fuller Road. Yesterday afternoon Scott and Zack came by our house to develop a plan to remove the trees. They had come up with the most perfect plan and executed it to perfection today. They used a crane service to remove the trees and everything was timed out perfectly! They were able to get all three trees cut, logs removed from property, cleaned up everything and were able to remove the largest stump all before 5:30 PM. We’ve had other tree service companies come to our house and have not had a lot of good luck with them. I was very impressed with how professional they were and how they work together as a team! We got three different bids and Twain Harte tree service was the best price. We highly recommend them for tree removal on your property especially if you don’t have a lot of space for trees to be dropped they definitely know how to do it with the crane. Twain Harte Tree Service had performed some work for a neighbor, so I asked them for a price for taking out some storm damaged trees and do some trimming of trees to cut down potential fire issues. They did a great job, cleaned up and cleaned trees as asked. Great team.

Zack and team were amazing! We had quite a bit of clean up around our property with fallen trees from earlier this year and lots of debris clean up/chipping to get fire prepared. Zack and his crew arrived right on time and worked their tails off, even in the 95 degree heat! They got more done in one day than we could have imagined. They cleared all the brush, cut up the large trees into manageable rounds for us and even started to tackle some of the items that were on our list for the next time we planned to have them come back. We'll be using them for all of our needs moving forward. I would highly recommend Twain Harte Tree Service!

I had an area the size of a parking lot next to my cabin in the high sierras that needed clearing and debris hauling.

During the last two winters the storms knocked down several aspen trees and branches were scattered everywhere.

I randomly called a tree service that I had googled and hit the jackpot. Erin and Zach were willing to drive to Mill Creek up Highway 108, off the grid, to talk about the work.

Their bid was reasonable and they chipped the tree debris and put it back into the ground.

They left the area looking maintained and fire safe!

I initially called Twain Harte Tree Service because I wanted a licensed arborist assessing my property and the tree work that needed to be done. Zack Nye fits the bill beautifully. We walked my property, discussed a multi-year plan to keep clearing and pruning in a good rotation. I've been super pleased with the work, especially the alert and helpful crew. Our insurance company had our cabin inspected. We needed to trim our trees or else our policy would be cancelled. We called the team at Twain Harte Tree Service (Zack-‘Zack Nye the tree guy’, Ben-‘Logger Jesus’ on facebook, along with Dalton, and Jacob). They took care of the trees involved in the fire inspection and took down an oak that was tilting. i wish i saw the process, but Ben’s site on facebook gives the level of expertise that they are capable of. Our cabin site is not friendly: we are on a STEEP hill, so they worked hard to bring all the branches up. They did an EXCELLENT JOB! Only a day of work cutting down the tree and cutting it further for fire wood along with the clean up for the fire safety report. But there is more.

This company does not just cut down trees and branches. With Zack and Ben’s team we found out that we have ADVOCACY. Zack has a gift: He can explain clearly what the fire-safe requirements are, what fail-points exist with inspections and where insurance can mess up: so don’t assume anything-check the inspection report. We contacted the inspection company for our insurance and got a detailed report picturing which trees to trim. However, the trees that were pictured were misleading, appearing to have branches hanging over the house in violation when viewed from the front of the house. Moreover, the inspection report had labeling errors saying one was a rear view, but the picture was taken from the front of the house. In this case, when a parallax view is taken, this tree did not need their branches cutting, because it was not even near the house. Thus, If our insurance company simply went by the pictures, and the same pictures was taken by the inspector, it would indicate non-compliance, and the insurance company would have had ample reason to cancel us. However, due to Zack’s guidance and advocacy, we can demonstrate the errors in the report and correct the inspection in due time of the insurance deadline. Morever, Zack can back us up, as he had done for others.

In short, insurance companies are quick to cancel and do not care about details or errors in reports. Just know with the experts at Twain Harte Tree service you have an additional layer of ‘insurance’ and verification. For us, they made a real difference and will be the go-to arborists for our set of family cabins.

Awesome service. I have a neighbor who does not trust well and wanted to oversee the project. Made me delay the project about a month so they could be home and observe the work. Twain Harte Tree Service was so good- they are now calling them for all their tree work. They were kind, professional and did such a great job, my neighbor hired them.

Highly recommend. We a tree that was growing to close to the cabin removed in the Stanislaus Forest. Approx 120-150 tall. My husband, who is in the construction world, can be a tough critic. With so many flakey services of all types in Tuolumne County (home owners will know what I mean), it's nice to find a service that actually shows up and does a good job at a fair price. I highly recommend Twain Harte Tree Service.

Zack and his crew were amazing, professional and diligent is getting us quick support to remove a 120' tree that took out our garage on February 4, 2025. They were there within 30 minutes of our call on the 5th to look at our situation and bid on it. They started early the next morning - and this was not an easy tree to remove since they needed a crane with it precariously hanging over our cars as well in the garage.
We would recommend them to everyone. Our neighbors even engaged them that day to remove some of their dangerous trees and they accommodated them as well.
