Incredible place trying to help the less fortunate fur babies!💖🐾💖 Wish I could do more.

Haven't actually used it yet but from what I've seen I can't wait to see what they can do

Very professional experience with Create Interior Design. They will always be my go to interior design & remodeling company before any other in the industry.

Had my kitchen remodeled in Walnut Creek Fadil's work exceeded all my expectations.

Satisfied with how this interior design project transpired. They maintained effective communication and achieved the intended results my husband and I were going for. I would recommend Create Interior Design if you’re going for very specific designs for your bedrooms

This review is long overdue. I had the pleasure of working with Shahar & Marin for the redesign of my kitchen and bathrooms in the summer of 2022, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial consultation to the final reveal, their expertise, creativity, and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the project. I had my doubts when Shahar provided me with his take on placement, as I had my own ideas. Unlike other designers I've worked with before (this is my 3rd remodel in 5 years—long story for another time), he didn't hide his disagreement with my ideas, which initially turned me off a bit. However, it was also refreshing, as I made plenty of mistakes in past remodels due to some dumb ideas, and my previous designers didn't want to push back on those ideas. Shahar and Marin were spot on, as it turns out. I've been living here since August 2022, and I love every aspect of their design.

The kitchen, once outdated and cramped, has been transformed into a modern, functional, and inviting space. Shahar understood my style and needs (we were aiming for a "Studio McGee" vibe), incorporating them into a design that not only looks stunning but also enhances the way I use my kitchen daily (among other things, they added a pantry without sacrificing the feel of depth in the kitchen).

In the bathrooms, the choice of tiles and fixtures perfectly complements the overall aesthetic of my home. Shahar's suggestions for the tile layout were perfect from the first shot (no design tweaks needed after the initial concept) and beautifully executed, making the spaces feel luxurious and spa-like. Our tile guy bailed on us at the last minute, and Shahar performed that work with his own team. The craftsmanship and quality of work are evident, and I've received numerous compliments from friends.

What impressed me most was Shahar's (and Marin's) ability to seamlessly blend functionality with style. They were attentive, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was delighted with the outcome. The project was completed on time and within budget, which is a testament to their professionalism and expertise.

I can't recommend Shahar and Marin enough. If you're looking for a talented, dedicated, and visionary interior designer, look no further. My experience was fantastic, and I'm sure yours will be too. Thank you, guys, for making my dream home a reality!

We absolutely loved working with Shawn! We did a major kitchen remodel, including a ~150sq ft addition and redid the majority of the floors throughout house. Short version: very attentive/communicative/accountable, great eye for design and attention to detail, and EXTREMELY fast. It was estimated the project would take 4-5 months, and they finished in 3 months almost to the day (this does not include the design phase and time it took to get the permits). They started demo end of August and finished the night before Thanksgiving!

Long Version:
We shopped around with a few different companies but ultimately chose Shawn for a few reasons. We loved that it's a small business owned by Shawn & his wife. We knew it would be a complicated remodel, and for that reason it was important to us to be able to have a lot of upfront brainstorm conversation and understand what it would cost before we dove in. He was really willing to brainstorm with us, discuss our ideas and give us an upfront estimate without charging us. The other design/build companies wanted to charge us for those types of conversations. I loved that Shawn is the owner of the company and would be involved in the project from beginning to end. He was very attentive, has a very strong eye for design, great with communication, and you can tell really cares about making something we would love, and he could be proud of.

I knew there were certain things that I wanted, but also unsure about a lot. He was a perfect match for me to work with. I dont have a great eye for design, so he put together a couple of different renderings that helped me figure out what I wanted. And he had a good balance of assertiveness and flexibility---telling me when something wouldn't work well (and why), what could work better, but also willing to accommodate things that I felt strongly about. We went back and forth on a few of the design specifications, and he was always willing to mock it up for me to see how it could actually look. I loved that I could lean on him for his expertise when I had an idea. I was so confident every step of the way that we would be well taken care of. I also loved all of the workers! The foundation crew (led by Andrias), the drywall guy, paint guys, interior team, electrician, floor guy. Everyone was so fantastic. Very kind, professional/respectful, great attention to detail, and extremely hard working. My husband works out of the house most days and I work from home, so I was always there, and they were very mindful of me and my space and time. Also, his main Project Manager, Fadil! Lovely gentleman. Really easy to get ahold of, would come to the house very often to check on things, and even had some great design ideas that we added on at the end. There were people at our house almost every day getting the work done, and while they were moving fast we could tell that they were doing things right and not skipping corners. Even though I was home, my workdays are usually very busy so I would rarely have to time to check in on things throughout the day, but I really didn't need to. Because Shawn and Fadil really took care of everything.

This was our first experience doing any house upgrades, and I know we'll have many in our future that Shawn and his team will be an obvious choice for us. Could not recommend them more!

My husband and I recently had Shawn and his team remodel our master bath, add a kitchen backsplash, and update our fireplace. Overall we're thrilled with the results! Some key highlights:

- As others have mentioned, having Shawn and his team handle the design + construction is SO convenient. Shawn has a great eye for design and we got exactly what we wanted.
- Finishes and work are all high quality. This isn't some low cost, 1-day turnaround remodel type of place you see advertised on tv. Having said that, Shawn was very open around where we could make adjustments to the plan in order to stick to a budget.
- Special shoutout to Fadil for being incredibly detail oriented. He was able to spot and/or fix anything that wasn't up to standard during the whole process.

We're already planning on working with Shawn on another project and highly recommend to anyone.l!

Our older home in Orinda needed a facelift, and Create Interior Design was just the team for the job. Manuel took the time to understand our vision for a refreshed but not overly modern aesthetic. They suggested updates to the flooring, paint, and lighting, plus new built-ins in the family room that added both beauty and storage. The entire team was friendly, punctual, and clearly skilled. They stayed on budget, which is rare these days, and the results are stunning. We’re especially happy with how warm and cohesive the space feels now. These folks are the real deal.

I found Shawn and Create Interior Design almost by accident when I started looking through Houzz to get some ideas for my primary bath renovation. Scrolling through pictures I came upon a bathroom that captivated me and was absolutely thrilled to see it was designed and constructed in my geography. I looked at the other Create projects on Houzz and was equally impressed with each. I then turned to Yelp and was ecstatic to see all of the five star reviews written. I then reached out to Shawn and we scheduled an appointment to discuss the primary bathroom design and renovation and later met again so he could measure my space. We shared some ideas on vision, I sent over a few inspiration photos, and waited to see the first drawings to finalize layout. When I received them I was so impressed! Shawn had completely taken my thoughts and ideas and brought them to life! We touched on a couple of things and the second, more specific set of drawings arrived. These are not renderings...they are real life drawings with real life products that are then tabbed in a separate sheet with links for where the products can be seen and purchased. Shawn's process from the initial meeting to the final drawings is impressive and his design eye is off the charts. I can't wait to get started on my project because in my wildest dreams I never expected that my bathroom could be as beautiful as I now know it is going to be. Thank you so much, Shawn!

Our home in Martinez had an outdated layout that didn’t suit our lifestyle anymore. We hired Create Interior Design to help us rethink the floor plan, and it was the best decision we made. Maryn offered a design that opened up the kitchen and dining room while improving natural light throughout the house. The construction team executed flawlessly. We were especially impressed with how they addressed tricky HVAC and plumbing reroutes without blowing the budget. The project was done ahead of schedule and the space looks incredible. These professionals combine style and substance in everything they do.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shawn on the interior design for my two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, focusing specifically on a complete kitchen and bathroom renovation. From our very first consultation, Shawn impressed me with his professionalism and keen understanding of my vision.

When I described my vision to him, Shawn not only understood exactly what I was aiming for, but he also delivered a design concept that was incredibly on point. The initial designs were stunning, blending a sleek modern aesthetic with organic materials and subtle touches of luxury.

As someone completely new to remodeling and interior design, I had a multitude of questions, and Shawn answered every single one with clarity and expertise. He was incredibly accommodating, working through two revisions of the designs to incorporate my feedback and ensure every detail was perfect. It's clear he knows what he is talking about and is an expert in both interior design as well as construction, which is a nice combination to have to ensure both parts of the process will work together seamlessly.

Shawn even went above and beyond the initial scope in accomodating my request for help with lighting, where he skillfully developed a comprehensive recessed light plan that perfectly complemented the overall design and functionality of the spaces. He also physically measured the space himself to make sure every aspect of the project was done with precision.

Shawn also organized a detailed shopping list for all materials. He meticulously helped me order everything that was shown in the renders. Furthermore, he was willing to help handle any returns or issues that arose, such as defective items, saving me immense time and stress. I also appreciate him being patient with a lot of back and forth with questions, revisions, and various tweaks.

Working with Shawn has been amazing. He is a truly talented designer who combines creative vision with meticulous project management and outstanding client service. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for something refined, elegant, and classy.

Our outdated Moraga dining room was closed off and underused. Create Interior Design helped us open it up to the kitchen and living area, making it the centerpiece of our home. Shawn suggested removing part of a non-load-bearing wall, adding custom wainscoting, and redoing the lighting. The new space feels elegant and functional. We entertain more now, and our guests always comment on how open and warm the space feels. The team worked quickly, respected our schedule, and stayed within the initial budget. It’s rare to find contractors and designers who deliver on every promise like this team did.

Our Pleasant Hill basement needed purpose, so we hired Create Interior Design to turn it into a media and game room. Fadil proposed a layout that included built-ins for equipment, layered lighting, and durable finishes that still looked stylish. The transformation was incredible. It’s now our favorite hangout spot and a huge hit with friends. The crew was clean, courteous, and extremely efficient. They kept us informed at every step and stayed on budget. I love how they took a blank space and gave it personality. I’d absolutely trust them with another project, big or small.

I hired Shawn as both designer and general contractor for my kitchen, master bath, and new hardwood floors. I am super happy with the process and results! Shawn and his team had great ideas and really know what they are doing. Right from the first visit to my house Shawn educated me on the cost benefit ratio of different options, and while they can do anything you want he really helped guide me to the most cost effective solutions for the space that I have. Initial estimates were realistic, contract costs for the design and the general work were fair, and the project held to the timeline. And most importantly the results are absolutely beautiful! So I would recommend Create to anyone interested in remodeling their home.

We hired Create Interior Design to modernize our Martinez living room, and the outcome was amazing. Shawn reimagined the layout, installed new lighting, and brought in furniture that made better use of the space. They even created a media wall that hides all the cords and clutter. The room feels balanced, cozy, and much more stylish. The process was straightforward, and they made sure to check in frequently. We’ve received so many compliments since the upgrade. This team knows how to blend form, function, and personality. A great experience from a truly skilled group of professionals.

We lucked out big time in finding Shawn and his team. After interviewing 7 options last Spring for our kitchen/interior living space remodel, we knew Shawn was our guy.

We've now been in our finished kitchen and house for a few months and love it more every day. We still can't believe the transformation and beyond the beautiful upgrade across the board, his design and recommendations made it SO much more functional.

From the design process to communication and his project manager/workers, everyone was a true professional. No kitchen horror stories and they finished exactly on time. There of course are small things that came up in communication between what we decided with Shawn (keeping our dishwasher) and what the workers on site knew about (tried to give it away 2x), but that is common in any project, and most important to us is every small thing we noticed/flagged was fixed without question.

We've already referred Shawn to anyone who asks. He took our space from a very dated 1960s vibe to modern but with character, and a design that matches our ranch style home. Thank you Shawn for making our house feel like us!

We recently finished our kitchen remodel with Shawn and are really happy with the results! We talked to several different contractors, architects, designers etc. before selecting Shawn.

The design that Shawn came up with was impressive and the most practical for our home and mid level budget. I would 100% recommend Shawn to my friends and family for a kitchen remodel.
