Even though this leak was seemingly unrelated to the previous one, they decided not to charge because they had serviced the unit not too long ago. Incredible! Brent even swapped out some plastic caps for metal ones, mentioning they would be more durable. To top it off, he insisted on cleaning the unit with wipes because he'd gotten some refrigerant on it. Fantastic service at a great price! We initially reached out to a larger HVAC company, and they charged $79 for a home visit. They claimed that the faulty HVAC wire was hard to reach and quoted us $950 for a new wireless thermostat. Then, we had Christopher come out for a second opinion, which was $120, but he managed to repair the wire right away at no extra charge. Plus, his estimate for a new wireless thermostat, should we decide to get one later, was $100 less than what the larger company offered. We're really grateful for the savings!
