All reviews for TLC Tree Expert Inc

I have been working with Chris and his crew for many years. Their work ethic is unbelievable, they show up when they say they will show up, their prices are fair and you can actually talk to a REAL person. Plus, I love supporting small local business. I would definitely recommend TLC Tree Expert Inc for any tree service needs.

I’ve been a customer of TLC Tree Expert since 2021 and I keep coming back to Chris every year. Why? Because he means what he says and he says what he means, something rare in today’s business world. He and his team are responsive upon inquiry; thorough and transparent upon bidding/estimating; capable and accountable at the time of service; and committed to customer service during and after completion of service. What a contrast to some of the larger companies who make it clear they don’t want your business and simply don’t care, with lead times of 60-days just to get an inspection. Living local and supporting local business means a lot. I could not think of a business that is a better steward of Boulder’s community values than TLC Tree Expert and would recommend them time and again.

Chris was recommended by a friend and she was spot on. I sent Chris a request for quote (on Thursday) and being in the neighborhood - he was there in about 10 minutes. Identified a problem that could have led to my front tree, giant crabapple (fruitless) splitting and collapsing into the street. He was so worried that he rearranged his schedule to come on Monday to take care of all of my trees. His whole team was professional and friendly. And Chris dealt with a very touchy neighbor with grace. Oh, did I mention he save me a lot of money over multiple other quotes and he tossed in some minor trimming in one tree at no charge. That was another tree where he found an issue that would have killed the tree in a couple of years - that no one else had found. He treated the tree and it should make a quick recovery. Whatever size job - go with Chris. He'll take good care of you and he'll do it for less. Really happy I found him!!! Wish I had done it years ago!!!

We have had Chris and the TLC team take care of several tree projects for us, and they were all done in a timely and professional manner. Most recently, we had to have a very large aspen tree removed from our front yard. The TLC Tree Experts that worked on the project had the entire tree cut down and removed within 90 minutes. They were safe, efficient, and cleaned up everything before they left our site. I highly recommend Chris and team for any tree services you need.

When it comes to tree care, look no further than Chris and his team. We have a large locust that was desperately in need of some love. We contacted Chris and he came out right away and gave us a very reasonable quote. It is immediately obvious that he is very knowledgeable and loves the work that he does. Unlike many other tree care services, Chris responds in a timely fashion, shows up when he says he is going to, and more than cleans up after himself. His entire team is efficient, professional and enjoyable to be around. We are extremely happy with the job Chris and his team did and will gladly recommend TLC Tree Experts to family and friends.

The wind blew two of our Aspen trees down on Saturday night. One fell onto our house and the other onto a neighbor's. I called Chris on Sunday morning. He picked up right away and was in the area and stopped by within the hour! He was so cool and said he would take care of us by Tuesday even though he is booked out for months! He knew how important it was to get the trees off the houses. He came back with his employee, also Chris, first thing Tuesday and took care of business quickly and carefully. I couldn't ask for more! I will definitely call Chris for more help and let all my friends and neighbors know Chris is the guy to call!

We recently hired TLC Tree Experts Inc. to trim two Blue spruces and two maples on our property. Chris was on the top of his game. He arrived onsite and managed to take care of our trees with speed and TLC. Their team diligently trimmed the trees and cleared branches from both our roof and our neighbor's roof. They maintained a clean work area and ensured proper disposal of trimmings afterward.

Overall, our experience with TLC Tree Experts Inc. was very positive, and we will use their services again in the future. We would recommend them to others seeking reliable tree care services.

Chris and TLC Tree have been taking care of all of our tree trimming, pruning and removal for over 20 years. I really appreciate how responsive Chris has been during that time, especially with storm damage issues. Chris and TLC are the complete package from quick response for job proposals, fair pricing, on time work completion and great cleanup after job completion. I HIGHLY recommend Chris Toney and TLC tree!

Chris and his crew just completed work at my Boulder home. His bid was competitive, he showed up exactly when he said he would, and he did the work we agreed to at the price he quoted. AND...when he noticed there was some additional work to be done beyond what he had committed to, he did it at no additional charge. He is the kind of professional I want working on my home. I give him my highest review, and I will definitely call him if I need a tree expert in the future. Thank you Chris!

These guys are the REAL DEAL!! Highly recommend. Chris is great!! He promptly responded to me, is very knowledgeable about trees, kept me posted about the schedule, and did a thorough job taking down a big tree. There was snow on the ground, but he and his crew cleaned up the wood chips and limbs as best that they could. The stump and surrounding roots were so cleanly removed that I couldn’t tell where they used to be. They were respectful of my property. Would definitely use them again!

TLC and Chris' team went above and beyond. We had a large tree crack in the wind. Chris responded immediately and quickly assessed what was needed to get the tree down and keep us safe. His personal touch with all the concerned neighbors was really appreciated as the large tree required access to others yards.

You will be happy to have him and his team do all your tree service.

Chris and his team at TLC Tree Expert have been taking care of our foothills mountain estate for the last 10years. His customer service and attention to detail is impeccable. Affordable pricing along with a friendly demeanor makes Chris and his team the tree company of choice for Boulder Heights and all surrounding foothill communities for a reason!! If your looking for a local tree company do yourself a favor and give him a call, you’ll be glad you did!

We had a dangerous dead tree that needed to be removed right away and they scheduled the work less than a week out, amazingly quick response! Chris and his team were incredibly efficient and professional and the communication from estimate to job completion was outstanding. The job required technical work with a crane and navigating large limbs through wires, they are more than capable to handle large and technical jobs and their attention to detail and timeliness is impressive. The cost was very fair and they stuck with the estimate given which is something I have not experienced in years with contractors. Again the whole crew was really terrific and I couldn't recommend TLC more for tree removal and care, particularly if you have complicated and technical projects.

We got the pleasure of working with Chris - He is incredibly knowledgeable and very honest. The tree we were interested in trimming because we were worried about the position of it next to our house - actually didn't need any trimming. Rather than charge us he was honest and explained that it was safe and didn't want to charge us for something not needed. We learned a lot about the trees health and how to care for it going forward. Definitely saving his number in case we need it in the future. Great dude!

Highly recommend this business! Chris and his team are great to work with. Hired them for a general consultation, trimming on a few trees, and removing a tree and a bush. Chris is super knowledgeable and friendly, and offered us lots of helpful advice about tree care and replacing the tree we removed.

Highly recommend this tree service! Chris was a lifesaver – he came out, was super knowledgeable about my trees, and helped me diagnose exactly what was going on. He's reliable, his pricing is fair, and he's just a really kind person. It felt great to support a small business, and I'll absolutely be calling them for any future tree needs.

I had an amazing experience with this company for tree removal in my yard! From start to finish, their customer service was top-notch friendly, professional, and incredibly responsive. They did a fantastic job and didn’t charge an arm and a leg, which was such a relief. I love that they’re a small, local business because you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing tree services. It’s always great to support local businesses, especially when they provide such outstanding service!

We had a large part of a tree fall down in a storm and discovered the tree was rotted at the base. There was still a very large portion of the tree standing, and we were eager to get it removed before it caused any other damage.

We had never worked with Chris before, but he came highly recommended by one of our local community centers. Chris removed the tree very methodically, piece by piece, causing no damage to our small yard. He cut the tree so that the remainder of the trunk perfectly fell through an opening in our fence. Chris coordinated for one of his partners to come out several days later to complete the stump grinding. Jerry did a really excellent job with the stump grinding as well.

We recommend Chris and plan on working with him again to help care for our remaining trees. Thank you Chris!

Chris and his team make customer service a priority. They are very nice and honest as the day is long! TLC has been working on my trees since 2013. The level of knowledge and love of trees that Chris has is nothing short of amazing. What I have found out with Chris is that he is Always true to his word. Unlike other companies, TLC returns phone calls. Chris even called me back on a weekend after exiting the movie theatre with his family! Who does that? TLC does! My trees are precious, and I would not ever think of trusting their care to any else but TLC Tree Experts!

Chris was responsive, professional and very efficient. I called him about a big Spruce tree removal on a Sunday, not expecting a response until Monday, but he picked right up. He had a quote for me the next day. A week later the tree was out! He was also careful to ensure there would be no damage to surrounding house and vegetation. I highly recommend TLC Tree Expert!

Highly recommend Chris and his team! He quickly got back to me to set up a free estimate for a tree removal and stump grinding. Very transparent about the job and pricing. Pricing was fair and he made sure I was fully satisfied with the work that was done.
