Extremely disappointed. Besides constant delays I constantly look around my home and see just awful craftsmanship. My windows and walls are not in straight lines, my light switch panel in my office is so crooked it was obvious it wasn’t leveled and in another room they didn’t space it properly so they just chopped the end off to make it fit. I had the painters come back so many times I finally gave up, the landscaping is missing rocks and one bush is totally different than the other 3. We are the only house that didn’t get a tree in the median. I had to raise hell to get my warranty guy to respond and lastly the icing on top- 3 gas leaks in my basement where they basically barely screwed the systems on. Oh and I guess I’ll add the pipes that are falling off the side of the house because they didn’t actually bond them properly. Had the plumber out to fix it and now 2 months later it’s falling off in another spot. It’s a shame I love my house but I’m so disappointed in the quality I got.

I'm going to make a long story into a short one and spare you the lengthy post it should require....
My wife and I put money down in May 2020 for a townhome to be built for us, and they just delayed our home closing for the umpteenth time, and it's September 2022. -
I have lived here now with false promises for 2 years (re: warranty, cause they hire the cheapest of the cheapest), waiting on trees to planted, our community center isn't built (which should of already been built), DONT move here!! Cheap prices mean you get cheap services!

Rude customer service at Front Steps, Msi and collection processing. They are stealing money from me through false late charges and fees. NO ONE TO TALK TO, NO ONE CARES, AND I WILL FILE COMPLAINTS WITH FTC AND THE CONSUMER PROTECTION SERVICES. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW WITH NO ONE ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY

In process of canceling our contract- too much to say other than look at these reviews and run the other direction! You will be thankful for avoiding Taylor Morrison! Cost me tens of thousands of dollars and nearly two years of my life- promises made NONE of them kept. Buy elsewhere!!

To any individual who may be interested in purchasing property at the Altaira High Point location managed by Taylor Morrison...
I suggest you proceed with caution. As with any builder, you should expect some head aches and annoyances. However, I would never recommend this particular location to any incoming new homeowners based on my recent experiences.
Since we have officially lived on our property, we have had SEVERAL instances where the builders have walked onto our property and taken gallons of water from our side yard hose. When this issue was brought us with the representatives of Taylor Morrison at this location, their way of addressing the issue was to place a sign in our front yard that reads, "Private residence." Even after the placement of their sign I had to ask multiple workers to not step onto our property and take our water. Multiple reminders of the trespassing and stealing later, the representatives at Taylor Morrison did nothing further.
Additionally, our home entrance is accessible by an ally shared among other homeowners. No issues with other residents, however I had multiple instances where I was unable to get into my driveway because Taylor Morrison workers were blocking the ally. At first, I didn't make any mention of it and just asked the workers to move because I understand they are doing their job and just looking to make that job a little easier. However, after multiple instances I reached out to a Taylor Morrison representative in person to talk about it. I indicated to this representative that I was understanding of the workers and curious if Taylor Morrison could let us know as homeowners when the ally may be blocked so we could plan accordingly. At that time, the representative indicated to me that there should never be any vehicles parked in the ally at any time and that they would make sure it didn't happen again.
Unfortunately the problem persisted and I made multiple attempts to correspond via email with broken promises to address the issue. Finally, I made my way into the office one afternoon when my driveway was blocked. While in the office, I was told by another representative that I could have, "squeezed by" and was completely disrespected by being talked over. I disengaged from that conversation by indicating to the representative that I didn't appreciate being talked over and it was extremely clear that he didn't respect me.
Later that week I drafted an email response to the head of the office, John Esmeral, indicating to him that I was no longer interested in interacting with his office or his workers (while ccing the VP of Taylor Morrison Operations to indicate to him how the office has treated their homeowners). I indicated to John that his emails indicated that he and his team was concerned with our issues, however after weeks they were not being addressed. I explained that it was clear their office didn't respect myself or my partner and that neither of us would be reaching out again. I ended this email wishing the best for him and his team moving forward in life, even if we wouldn't be having any future correspondence.
This morning, we have been slapped with a threat of fine from the HOA because we have been reported for "leaving trash" out on our driveway. Mind you, the trash in question is a bag of yard leaves drying in the CO sun. I have no proof that this is malicious, however the timing of this HOA fine and my previous email to John seem to point in that direction. I find this childish, as the entire ally in which this "trash" was pointing is filled with actual trash from builders (which we are constantly removing from our yard). To indicate to us that we aren't "maintaining community standards" is a bit ridiculous.
The experiences above are to potentially outline to anyone who is interested in living here what working with the Taylor Morrison representatives at this location is like. They appear to have your best interested in mind, but are more interested in bringing more people in for sales than addressing the issue of their current homeowners. -
We put our deposit for our home to be built in August 2019, the house wasn’t completed until October 2022!!!!! It’s been one fiasco after another since putting down the deposit!!!! Taylor Morrison has an excuse for EVERYTHING BUT NO SOLUTIONS!!!! Our hot water tank sounds like a semi truck when we turn the water on and off we have been in the house almost 11 months and still plumbers come out, manufacture rep came out but still no solution. The landscaping is still incomplete with tons of excuses why they can’t complete it, but the new builds across the street have the landscaping done BEFORE the home are FINISHED!!!! Unfortunately we paid cash for our home, so they have our money do we are not a priority!!!! This is the most we have ever spent on a home and can’t enjoy it because of all the issues l! So sad this was supposed to be our dream retirement home, not our retirement nightmare home!!!!

Taylor Morrison has been horrible about their drainage plan and sump pump installation. I have algae and mold growing on my sidewalk and I’m afraid someone is going to slip and fall. They claim that the City and County of Denver approved the plan.
