Initially, I looked into Sunrun because of their association with Costco and Home Depot, respected long standing businesses. I'm really glad that I did!
Matt Daily from Sunrun met with me and did an EXCELLENT job of answering questions and determining what solar system would best meet my needs. He was there every step of the way with exceptional and responsive customer service! Everything was completed ahead of schedule with professionalism and integrity. Continuing with EXCEPTIONAL customer service even after the project was complete, Matt Daily checked back with me to make sure I was completely satisfied and to assure me that if I ever had any further questions, to give him a call…..I could not be more pleased!

Had a wonderful experience with Sunrun Solar. Not only were we well-informed & transparently educated by our wonderful point of contact, Anna Pepper, she continued to helped us throughout the process until we were able to (very efficiently) get our new panels installed. Could not be more thrilled with the outcome and excited to start this journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle!

I recently purchased a Sunrun Solar system through Costco, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, the process was seamless and stress-free, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Kim Ravenswood, my sales representative, and the installation team.

Kim guided me through the initial stages with professionalism and clarity, making sure all my questions were answered and that I felt confident in my decision. Her knowledge and dedication were evident, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The installation team, was punctual, professional, and executed the installation flawlessly. The quality of their work was top-notch, and they ensured everything was done to the highest standards.

I am thrilled to now power my home and two electric cars using solar energy, significantly reducing my reliance on the power company. Additionally, the whole-home backup battery provides me with peace of mind, knowing I have a reliable power source during outages.

I highly recommend Sunrun and especially commend Kim Ravenswood for her exceptional service. If you’re considering making the switch to solar, look no further than Sunrun.

Edit/update: A service representative proactively reached out, although I had to follow up when the "24 hour guaranteed response" reached three days. While mildly annoying, I don't think it's a representation of sunrun as a whole. As it turns out, my main concern about adding more equipment, while definitely more than a mild annoyance, was probably a miscommunication, which happens. Adjusting from 2 to 5 stars. Ultimately, we are happy with the product. Communication could have been better, but in the end, sunrun took ownership and did as much as they could to make us happy. Can't really ask for much more. I'm also willing to give the benefit of the doubt around expectations of adding to the system. I clearly asked what could or could not be added. Perhaps my question was simply just misunderstood. I'm willing to see things that way given how positive everything else has been.

I did not have any issues with installation or quality of product. I could write a 4-5 star review if that were the extent of my experience. Excel takes their time, but sunrun can hardly be blamed. The reason for my review has to do with awful expectations around potential changes. We were assured during the consultation we could add to the system. We found it difficult to estimate the size system to install. That and adding a battery. These decisions result in potentially $10-30k in costs. Being assured we could always add to our system, we went with a lower production system and no battery.

My advice- they do quality work (in my experience), but they seemingly will just tell you what you want to hear as a last ditch effort to close.

Had we been clearly told that whatever we decided was permanent, we likely would have taken time to think things over. But since we were assured we could make changes later, it seemed like a no brainer to do it.

We're not unhappy, but I'm giving 2/5 because I'm stuck with something I would have done differently. The irony is I'd actually be happy to spend more money and likely would give them 5/5.

Charles Renaud was a solar superstar. He helped me add a second system to my home and even helped me understand my existing system sold to me by a company now out of business. He took the time to help me understand completely, and was patient in helping me overcome tech challenges along the way. Kind and respectful, he truly is an incredible consultant and now friend. Sunrun has the longevity and adaptability that no other company can touch, and I'm proud to have chosen them to partner going forward to help "create a planet run by the sun."

I had SunRun solar installed this spring and was soon connected by Xcel on May 17, 2023. It was a fairly simple but lengthy process, made easy by SunRun's Bruce Cameron here in the Denver area. The installation team finished its work over one morning---loud, but clean and efficient. Since then I have averaged 20.68 kWh per day of (2213 total) electric generation from 13 large panels rated for a total of 5.2kWh. My Xcel "NET meter" has rolled 1004 kWh backwards over these past 107 days (often cloudy) into my Xcel solar bank dollar credits. These I will draw upon when my solar production is less than monthly usage during the short winter days. The lengthy Xcel bill is difficult to comprehend but can be figured out. Suggestions: 1. Add as many solar panels as you can now so you can increase future electricity usage as needed. 2. Change your Federal tax withholding rates to zero until you have equaled your 30% tax credit savings. Then readjust back so your annual tax withholding will be correct. Use this money to immediately payoff 30% of the total bill. Use your Costco Shop Card rebate for same purpose. 3. If your roof is older, it makes sense to get a new one and have its cost qualify for the 30%federal tax credit also (read the regulations carefully.)

Our project had its ups and downs, frustrations and wins, but after having solar for almost a year I can confidently say that it was worth it.

After 9 months, our 8 panels have produced 3722 kWh of electricity. It has cut down on our electric bill significantly, saving us more money than they cost. The panels alone do not power our entire house but they go a long way to reduce our electric bill, plus it’s a nice feeling to run a load of laundry during the day for “free” since we’re not taking anything from the grid.

The project itself was not without its challenges. For anyone new to solar, understand that it will take months to go through the inspections, project design, approval from the city, applications to the power company, installation, and (at least for us) approval from the HOA. We had to modify the designs a few times and there was a problem with Denver’s code that almost axed our project.

Fortunately, the people at Sunrun are as knowledgeable as they are flexible. Despite the stress, we were able to work through the challenges and finish the project. There have been no other issues since installation. The equipment just works.

I’m still happy with the results 9 months later and I expect I will be years on. It’d be easy to give Sunrun a 5 star review if everything had gone well but where I think a 5 star review is really deserved is when things aren’t perfect but the team is able to make it happen. They all did a great job.

We've been thrilled with Sunrun's service and product! We switched to solar with Sunrun on our first home in Broomfield two years ago, and we are about to get our second system installed on our new house in Evergreen! Whether you choose the service model with no installation costs, or buy the panels outright, it's good to have multiple options, and any option is certainly superior to relying on coal fired electricity which powers the majority of Colorado. Sunrun has had first class service throughout these couple years, and I would recommend them to anyone. Do the right thing, use this amazing Colorado sunshine, and switch to solar with Sunrun!

Christian Manzo and the Hercules crew did a great job. They exceeded expectations. They did an excellent installation in a single day.

We spoke with someone at Costco about Solar with Sunrun. The salesman Scott Bustios reached out and set up an appointment with us to review the product and determine what size system we would need for our home. He was great with no high pressure sales tactics. Sunrun did an evaluation of our home and Scott presented the options. The process was very smooth, we got on the schedule and when the guys came out they were very thorough and completed the installation in one day. The meter was changed and the inspection was done. We have been very pleased with the whole process and would recommend Sunrun to anyone interested in having solar installed on their home. I also like their app where I can see how much energy we are producing on my phone. Great Experience!!!

I have to say. These solar panels will take a bullet and KEEP PRODUCING! 10/10 would recommend!

I spoke to customer service after finding the damage, and what caused it, and I was told that there was no need to change out the panel as there was no loss of production from the incident! WOW! Now if production goes down they said they would be happy to replace it at that time and it would be covered under warranty.

Also I can keep my house nice and cool with my AC constantly running all summer long and my Xcel bill is never over $100. And that's pretty amazing (700sqft home for reference). Love the use of solar!

Christian and his installation team did such a professional job. He, Christopher and Jonathan ( as I recall) were among the best I could imagine. Quiet, knowledgeable, efficient, personable. I sooo appreciated their concerns about safety as well.

I am extremely pleased with both of the solar systems that I’ve had through Sunrun! Scott Bustios is extremely knowledgeable, and made me feel confident in my decision to move forward with solar. The energy and cost savings that I experience on a monthly basis are a huge benefit to me personally.

I bought my home with a solar system, and I am very happy with the transfer / communication from Sunrun. My real estate agent assured me that they would handle everything, because he has a system himself, and other than signing some transfer docs it was incredibly easy.

Update 4.4 - I've been in the home for a few months now and just experiencing my first month with OVER PRODUCING! My Xcel bill was only $6 for the connection fee and taxes!

Excellent representation by the sales team who answered all of our questions and allowed us to help with the panel pattern/design. The installation was quick, clean and efficient. Easy to navigate account management and frequent contact with their team is an added bonus.

Very professional, installed as promised! Our client rep, Bryan Matthews, was great to work with. Without his knowledge and guidance I doubt if we would have gone forward with the solar project. I love checking the app every morning to see how much energy we generated the previous day.

I'm very happy with Sunrun's sales and installation process. Ro Murdock did a good job answering my questions and walking me through my options. They explained how a solar system could be a good long-term investment, particularly with the federal tax credit and Xcel's cooperation to reduce my electric bill to zero each month (yet still provide me with energy when the sun isn't shining). I am proud to have invested in reducing my carbon footprint.

We have used Sunrun since 2010 and the largest reason I am happy with our choice is we don't think about our panels. They have worked amazingly well since installation, we have been contacted when there have been issues and they have been resolved immediately. Customer service has been easy to understand and they seem happy and eager to help us the few times we have had questions. We haven't thought about our lease and gotten great benefit from the lowered electric bill from clean energy. We highly recommend seeking this company out.

Paul Rypkema at Sunrun is amazing. He assisted me in buying solar by providing me information and time to make a good decision. Their tech installers did a thorough job installing down to painting the conduit to match our home's roof and siding. 5 stars earned!

Proud to say that we are pleased with our Sunrun experience! My friend, Ryan Sweeney, who is an Energy Consultant at Sunrun in San Diego, initiated our solar adventure. Sunrun made the process easy because of their clear communication. My husband and I have always wanted to have solar and now we do thanks to Sunrun. Thanks for making our house more energy efficient!
