A special thanks to "John" who came the day before Christmas to fix our electric problem. It was urgent, and he was there in 30 minutes, diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes, determined it came from one of two wires knocked down by a fallen tree at a neighbor's house nearby, and advised us on contacting CL&P who came and fixed it in 2 hours. More importantly, John gave my son and I an "education" on house electrical systems in a very patient and thorough manner. Thanks.

I called with a fairly minor garbage disposal issue, not exactly a giant electrical emergency. They noted they were super busy, but maybe could have someone available at the end of the day, as they are located nearby. Two hours later they called and had two people at my house within minutes. Problem was diagnosed, not electrical at all, and I ended up needing a new disposal. So appreciate the always good customer service.

I used R.M. Harris a few weeks ago to fix an outside outlet near the pool that had stopped working. Eddie Thivierge got us a swift appointment and gave us a convenient 2-hour window for his arrival. He duly arrived with his assistant in the early part of the window.
He examined the outlet and concluded that the problem was in the panel. However before going in to examine it, he checked other outside switches and connections to make sure the problem wasn't more widespread than we thought.
He found the problem in the panel and replaced the corroded part. Going outside again, the outlet was now working but he upgraded the outlet fittings to bring it up to code.
In all they were here barely half an hour, solved our problem, and the bill was very reasonable.

Matthew from RM Harris did an excellent job with installing a transfer switch at my home. There was also some additional work which involved running a new line to my garage. The work was very tidy and professional. Matthew was very helpful and was patient enough to answer all my questions.

There was a miscommunication about an electrical permit, but Rick at the office was very helpful and quickly sorted it out in a phone call. Very happy with my experience with R M Harris!

I leave maybe 1 review a year, and this just has to be said. This company and their entire staff are outstanding! I can sincerely say, everybody from Mary taking my calls, Rick working his magic, and Eddie and Mike installing, did an absolutely incredible job! Everyone really went above and beyond to get my fine art gallery lighting don e in time. Not a single I detail was missed or overlooked. HIRE THEM! You won’t regret it.

They did a great job for me, but they charged $118 for a part one can buy for $80 or less. So $225 for an hour's work plus the mark-up on the part. I don't like the practice of hiding extra charges, but surely many others do it
