Brad and his team did an excellent job taking down 2 trees and grinding the stumps. The cleanup was first rate and the result looks fantastic. Highly recommend his services.

I can't sing enough praises about what a great job this company did clearing huge dead trees and overgrown shrubs from my yard. They were very accommodating, easy to work with, and professional to the max. I've used other tree services before, and these guys put em all to shame !

We had Schmitt Tree Service remove and trim trees in our yard they were very professional, friendly and did a great job. Came on time and cleaned up after themselves. Would recommend and use them again.

This is the best and most profesional company i have ever dealth with. Let me start by saying that from the start they were on time for an estimate, they answered calls and questions we had and came on the same day and time as the service was scheduled for. What i was mostly impressed by it how they left the yard after taking this huege tree down. Is like the tree was never there. I will add that the staff who came to do the work worked as a real team. Perfect work indeed, rare this days!

We recently contracted Schmitt’s Tree Service to remove a tree that came down in a storm the end of June, along with two adjacent trees and hangers that were topped in last years storm Isaias and grind their stumps.
Originally, Brad said it would take 2 days to complete the job. Calling 2 days prior, giving me a date and stating that he would complete the work in ONE day! Impossible, we thought, until he showed up at 8:30am with a crew of 5 men, plus a tree climber and 6 pieces of equipment. All the major work was completed by 1:30pm leaving the balance of the afternoon to clean-up. All the limbs were chipped into the woods and all the huge logs were placed deep into the woods at the rear of the property. He also removed a large stump from previous tree work, filled and regraded the area.

I received multiple quotes for a tree removal and stump grinding but went with Schmitt because:

1. They were able to produce proof they have workman's comp insurance for their employees, which is important in the state of CT, because the homeowner may be liable for employee injury if the employer lacks insurance. In other states you must have insurance before you can receive a business license but NOT SO IN CONNECTICUT. So buyer beware. Other tree companies were reluctant to produce proof of insurance or seemed to not want to be bothered with it.

2. They knew they had to call the gas company to receive clearance before they could stump grind and it just so happens that my gas lines run near the tree that was to be ground. The gas company came and marked my gas lines before the tree stump was removed. No other company mentioned that to me.

3. They were willing to negotiate price based on other quotes I had received.

4. The workers were professional, careful and courteous.

The staff was very friendly on the phone, worked around my schedule to deliver 3 cords. The wood was in great shape, no rot, almost all oak and maple. Great deal for the price and delivery. I will be back

Brad and team did a great job reclaiming part of our yard. They took down a tree, trimmed two large trees, cleared a lot of overgrowth and prepared the ground for planting. Brad was very responsive and the price was reasonable.

We hired Brad to remove 2 trees in our front yard, one of which was completely dead. Him and his crew were efficient and professional. They ground the stumps and filled the holes. The trees came down in a matter of a couple hours and the cleanup was excellent. They even got rid of a couple shrubs that were getting hard to keep up with. I would recommend them to anyone. My 3 year old son had some entertainment for a while also!

Brad and his expert crew were very efficient and professional. They have the big equipment to deal with my three large Norwegian Pines that needed to be removed from, an existing garden. Thy took utmost care to protect surrounding vegetation and our lawn. The clean up after the trees were down, chipped, and hauled away, was excellent also. Their cost for this substantial job was fair and the job was done in a timely manner.

I contacted Schmitt Tree Service to have a Tree removed, and stump ground in an area for a new shed. Haley and Brad response was immediate. Brad came out and quoted the job the next day. Brad and his crew was able to fit me in with his already busy schedule. Schmitt Tree Service did an amazing job! The site was cleaned when they left. I would HIGHLY recommend Schmitt Tree for all your Tree removal needs!

We had 3 trees that needed to be removed, plus one stump and a lot of pruning. Amazing crew came out and got it all done in one day. We were worried because one tree was next to the sewer pipe but they got it all out (including the stump) without any problems. They also cleaned up as they worked and left the yard and driveway clean and free of all debris - including sawdust and leaves. Absolutely thrilled with the results and recommend them completely.

We noticed a big co-dominant maple tree had developed a split and would crush our house if the split got worse and the tree came down. I called Schmitt and Brad showed up, did a quick evaluation and gave me a quote right then.

I requested the tree be limbed and brought down with no clean-up. Brad politely warned me of the mess it would leave but once I reassured him I had no problem cleaning it up myself, he was willing to quote the job as requested. (One of his competitors refused to even listen.)

Brad, Matt and MacGreggor showed up and knocked the job out in a few hours. They were very friendly and professional. Their skills were top-notch and if I ever need another tree removed, Schmitt will be my go-to service.

During a past storm, I had a huge tree fall in my yard. Schmitt Tree Service did a wonderful job of cutting it up and hauling it out of here. The crew was prompt and courteous. They were incredibly thorough and ensured that my property looked top-notch before leaving. I hired Schmitt Tree Service to remove a 50 year old 75 ft tall maple located 10 ft from the back of my house. A HUGE tree!
