Scott and Luis were professional and timely. We had a number of things done (EV charger installation, multiple new outlets installed inside, fixes to some existing outlets). They arrived right on time, completed the job much faster than the original estimate, and checked with us at the end to make sure we were satisfied with everything and ask if we needed anything else done. Overall a great experience.

It doesn't surprise me that Chestnut Electric has a 5 star rating. If you are looking for an electrician this is the place to go. I had an electrical problem with a compression pump. I walked in and they worked on it right away, there was no hesitation, Tony jumped right in and fixed it. He knew immediately what to do and was very skilled and masterful. I thought it was going to take days and be expensive but it was neither. Everyone there is lovely, the place is attractive, modern, immaculate, and very well organized. I was so impressed with the entire operation. From the moment you walk in, you know things are running smoothly and professionally. This is no half-baked company. You just get a since they are serious about the service they provide and in a most lovely and friendly way. I was in a real bind and Tony was a gem, truly he came to my rescue, I didn't think I was going to get this machine fixed. I would feel proud to recommend this business to anyone knowing they would be well taken care of and in good and trusted hands with Chestnut Electric and would be treated well... and Tony, thank you, I'm very grateful for the work you performed and how lovely and kind you were. I recently had the pleasure of engaging Chestnut Electric for a variety of electrical jobs. Although the company was booked weeks out, they patiently took time to understand my issue, appreciate the urgency and then sent an experienced electrician for the job as soon as one was available. On our last visit we had the services of Jack, an experienced and affable professional to repair a nonfunctioning automatic pool cover.
He systematically traced possible causes, deduced the problem and quickly repaired, all the while patiently explaining his thought process to a young apprentice. The electrical work required was minimal, but diagnosing the problem and quickly resolving the issue was what was most impressive.

Our experience with Jack at Chestnut Electric was outstanding. He came to our home to install an EV charger and several electrical outlets, to relocate a thermostat, and to mount two large TVs. He was punctual and patient, working with our older home and going out of his way to teach us when we had questions. The end product looks excellent and extremely professional. We couldn't have asked for a more polished job, or a nicer person to do it.

Chestnut electric is great! They are very responsive, professional, and take the time to understand what the issue is and what you are looking for, all while offering various options to reach your goals. We were looking for improved lighting around our driveway, and it looks great! And to top it all off, they even helped us out in a pinch and helped with our Christmas Tree!

Their service technician, Jack, has been the best when it comes to repairs around our facility. We have a greenhouse on site with electrical controls that no other electrician would touch, but Jack came through and had it repaired and working even better than before.

We hired Chestnut Electric to install a home EV charger and the entire process was very smooth. Our technician Andy was so friendly and knowledgeable. The job was more complex than anticipated and he stayed late to make sure it was all finished. We couldn't be happier with the service. Chestnut and Andy will be our go-to electricians for the future.

Nick was amazing! Right before a holiday weekend, he helped me troubleshoot an electrical issue over the phone and saved the day. Super helpful, patient, and generous with his time, highly recommend!

As a local home inspector who has inspected several thousand homes in Fairfield County over the years, I have come to appreciate the quality of electrical work I typically find when I come across a "Chestnut Electrical" sticker on the electrical panel. So when I ran into an electrical issue [a back feed on a circuit I had shut-off power to] in my own home that had me stumped, they were the first and only call I made. Despite a busy schedule, they were able to get Scott out to my house relatively quickly. I appreciated Scott's obvious knowledge and expertise as he investigated the issue, and when it was determined that the repair would require a return trip, Nick at Chestnut was great about following up w/me to get it scheduled. Scott came back out early morning, and before I even finished getting kids off to school, he had completed the repair and upgraded the circuit to modern safety standards. Considering how often I find electrical issues in homes I inspect, I truly appreciate competent and professional electrical work when I find it. Jack from Chestnut electric arrived on Friday, to get to the bottom of an issue we were having with the generator. Jack assured me nothing he did would interfere with normal business operation. Jack asked detailed questions about our issue, and it was clear he genuinely wanted to help. Jack is a very experienced electrician and it showed, he was able to diagnose and fix the problem within minutes... I would highly recommend Jack and the excellent team at Chestnut Electric.

We have been a recurring customer of Chestnut Electric and had recently completed a number of electrical projects, along with most notably a new pathway lighting installation. We worked with Nick to spec out the project with Scott a Technician do the work. The project was completed as scheduled. Scott did an amazing job, taking pride in his work, he even pulled some weeds in the bed where we were installing our new pathway lights. No hassles and no surprises regarding additional costs. We would not hesitate referring Chestnut for electrical work to our friends and neighbors.

I have used Chestnut Electric many times over the years. Today Andy changed a bunch of my dimmers to LED, added a new dimmer, changed some high lightbulbs, and fixed a broken fixture. It’s an old house with a lot of “handyman work” over the years so he found issues but he dealt with them and kept me fully informed. He also gave me good advice on “future projects”. Andy was nice, personable, efficient and professional. I highly recommend Chestnut Electric.

Update: Dennis came today to install another ring floodlight. He was just as nice and great as Andy the last time. I am truly a frequent flyer here and highly recommend them!

Jim did a fantastic job with our old, wonky house. He spent the day doing everything from installing complicated new outdoor lighting to solving the mysteries of multiple fried bulbs/fixtures around the interior of the house. Chestnut has helped us do everything from double our home's electrical capacity to revamping the entire breaker panel system. We've been using Chestnut for years and will continue to do so!

Max, our technician, was early, quick, polite, clean, and the service was excellent. We changed our wiring behind our over/range to make way for a new appliance. Fantastic service. Thanks Max and Chestnut.

Today we had Jim come out to make a repair and help us plan some new lighting in our living room. Jim arrived right on time, completed the work perfectly. I highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dennis! He came to my house this week to replace several light fixtures and switches. He was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgable. Dennis took the time to explain everything he was doing and made several really helpful recommendations. He was very thorough and took the time to make sure that everything was mounted properly and flush. When he found issues, like a loose box or bad wiring he resolved everything to ensure that it was safe. I will definitely be requesting him for my next job!
