I’ve been using Charlie’s for about 10 years at 2 different homes. I’ve always had great service from them and they go above and beyond to make sure the job is buttoned up completely and answer all questions thoroughly. Very knowledgeable with the current HVAC tech. Ronnie and James replaced my system this time and stayed until almost 7pm to get it all back together and make sure the house was back comfortable.

Ronnie and Dylan were absolutely great installing my new units and thermostat. Chris gave an accurate estimate of the time it would take, and selected the right equipment for my home that will do the job efficiently and within my budget. Everyone was pleasant and professional from start to finish. Really great guys I felt comfortable having in my home. I highly recommend this company for any and all HVAC needs.

Called early on a Monday they were there by 1:00 that afternoon. A/C was not cooling and freezing up the tech ran some tests found it was low on refrigerant. Very prompt and professional

No one likes it when their AC has problems but to know that you have a company you can trust and that is fast, friendly, reliable and professional is quite a relief. My tech today was Thomas and he had all the qualities mentioned above. He also explained the maintenance plan that Tropic provides at a fair price and for your peace of mind. I don't often write reviews but I would give them the highest recommendation.

We have been using Charlie's to service our two old HVAC units for a number of years & have always been satisfied. However when we had a significant failure with our system, they quickly responded providing us with a fair quote and quick turnaround. Our two new units were installed in a professional and prompt manner. Special shout out to Ronnie, Adam and Dylan who, despite the intense heat on the day of the installation, worked extremely hard and were very professional and pleasant. Excellent service!

The technician was thorough and took his time to explain any potential issues. He was nice and professional as always, which is why I will continue to use Charlie’s Tropic A/C.

Chris Johnson and service techs Ronnie and Adam were fabulous! Very professional and courteous. Replaced our whole system the very next day within a few hours, despite the virus protocol restrictions. They used gloves and very tidy. The office manager very nice, patient, and professional as well. I highly recommend Charlie’s Tropic Heating & Air, and will use them for all my a/c needs!

The technician Eric was prompt, polite and knowledgeable about his subject. He explained what he had done and offered suggestions for me to prolong the life of my unit. I would definitely recommend this company, Charlie’s Tropic Air.

I had a very helpful service from Randy. I had a few extra questions and spoke with Josh. Both service technicians were very knowledgeable and patient with me. The whole process was great, from the start Patrick got me scheduled quickly and was very professional and friendly. I use Charlie's Tropics Heating & Air exclusively for multiple properties and have suggested them to other family and friends, and will continue to.

We found what looks like black mold in the unit on the other side of the filter, which means it was coming into the air. The technician installed a UV unit, which will take care of that problem and help to keep our air clean and safe.
2025 update— we just had our semi annual AC unit check up from Charlie’s Tropic Heating And AC. Our unit is almost 18 years old and still running fine, although the coils are rusting and it definitely is near the end of its useful life. But 18 years is way above the Florida average of 12 to 13 years life expectancy for a central AC unit, and I credit Charlie’s Tropic Heating And AC for the check ups they faithfully do every six months. The people they send are always pleasant and competent.

Joe B. came out today to service our unit. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We would recommend him and Weather Engineers wholeheartedly.

My air handler needed replaced. The first unnamed company spent five minutes looking at both the air handler and outside AC unit and told me everything was bad and had to be replaced. I told the first company I was going to get a second company to look at it as my outside unit was only a couple of years old. So I called Charlie’s Tropic because I had heard good things about them. They came right out and spent some time checking everything. Was told I needed the air handler and just some routine maintenance on the outside unit. I was quoted a fair price and agreed to contract. While awaiting for my air handler to be shipped (at the time only two in state of FL), they sent Ronnie and Dylan out to get unit temporarily running until installation. The guys were so professional and sweet. I couldn’t be happier with the entire process and my 10 year warranty. I whole heartedly recommend this company.

Recommend for investors as well as home owners. Charlie's Tropic is great company to work with. Superb service starting from top down. Our sales rep (Chris Johnson) is an example how to work with customers. He was always on time for our appointments, took his time to explain what's the best for our requirements, and found a good system to install. We had a brand new installation of the whole system. Our lead technician Steve did a superb job designing ducts and installing everything. Thanks to correct system our electrical bill are much smaller than they could be with less efficient system. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Bottom line - Charlie's Tropic Heating & Air Conditioning is excellent company to work with for investors and homeowners alike.

Great experience with Charlie’s! They were able to work with my schedule and fit me in same day. They offered me a variety of options, and were knowledgeable about the pros/cons for each. I did not feel rushed to make a decision. Installation of the new system was smooth - Ronnie and Dylan were efficient, prompt and personable.
