Preferred Mechanical Air Conditioning installed our A/C system, as with any new home, there are sometimes glitches that need to be worked out. When the system quit working after about a week, we called them on a Saturday and Ken came over, found the problem quickly and had it up and running in no time. He was able to explain why it stopped working, and what he did to make sure that it would not happen again.

I was introduced to Preferred Mechanical via an internet search. A military discount offer for a maintenance issue for my A/C prompted me to call an arrange for the service required.

Upon completion of the work the discount was not applied to the bill. I questioned the technician and was assured the office would be notified. . Sure!!

In the mail a check for the military discount. . . Wow, a company with integrity! Thanks Preferred Mechanical.

Answered phone calls quickly. Text messages kept me informed about their schedule and when they would be at my house. Service techs were nice and knowledgeable. My AC is now fixed and running smoothly.

I just moved into a new house and had an AC company come out to give me a quote to seal some ducting. They told me I had mold in my system and showed me pictures and quoted me about $1500 (of course they're going to give me a big discount if I signed up for their Maintenance program). I decided to get a second opinion. I had Preferred Mechanics come out. They did a full inspection on my system including pictures and videos, went through my whole attic showed me all the insulation and the seals on my ductwork. Cleaned up the mildew, it was not mold, treated it along with some corrosion in my system. Offered to find what warranty I may still have on my system and charged me $80! I will definitely have them back out here twice a year for maintenance. I couldn't be happier!

Preferred Mechanical did a great job. I chose 18 SEER heat pump Amana to save on electricity in a long run. And so far I'm very happy with my decision. Guys did a great job installing it too. Happy customer here!

We had an amazing experience with Preferred Mechanical. The entire team - from owner Carl to the technicians to the office staff - all provide a high level of professionalism, customer service, friendliness, and product knowledge. Our 1957 Florida ranch home has an extremely tight attic space and over the years our duct work had been crushed and misplaced by electricians and cable workers. Between the ductwork mess and our heat pump reaching end of life, our AC was barely hobbling along. We expected we needed a new heat pump, but their level of service took it to a whole new level. They identified the duct and vent problems that were hindering the efficiency of our HVAC system. Our PM team went above and beyond to repair, replace, and properly suspend our ducts so we would not have this issue ever again regardless of who ends up in our attic! They expanded capacity of existing vents and added new ones, installed an entirely new heat pump, new thermostat, new HALO UV light, new condensation drain pipe, and caustically sealed all connection points (who does this?!!). AND as if all of that weren't enough they took it upon themselves to lay a plywood catwalk (more like a cat crawl) in the attic to keep future workers from damaging the ducts again. They left our home, garage, lanai, and yard impeccably clean.

Great group - from inside to servicemen to the owner. We had our house completely renovated so I dealt with the owner. There was little that went wrong with the installation and we’ve been thrilled with the units. Ours was a little complicated but it worked as we had hoped it would.
UPDATE: Just had our Spring servicing done (March 2018) and again I remain impressed by the professional manner, attention to detail and cleanliness of their work. I wish all service people were of this caliber

Preferred Mechanical installed my new AC HP in a timely manner. They were very professional & curitious. They cleaned up after themselves.
They were very patient with me & answered all of my questions.
A couple of days later there was a problem with the thermostat. They were st my house to address the problem within an hour of my calling them.

I have been a customer of Preferred Mechanical for about five years. They have been servicing our A/C system from the day it was installed and they are always on time and keep us informed of things we can do to keep our system running properly. What an awesome company with great customer service. It was a ridiculously hot day, so I’m sure they were already crazy busy. A service technician arrived within 2 hours and was leaving 45 minutes after that with the AC fixed and cooling. They know what they are doing and the service was second to none. Thanks Preferred Mechanical, you guys rock!!
