He was hired through my warranty company, AHS. Great service and very personable. Came early and got everything done in less than an hour. Definitely would consider hiring him again.

Not only was he in time but he was professional he came in and knew exactly what the issue was and fixed everything in a timely manner and was very polite and knowledgeable. 100 out 10 anyone who is not using his services is not getting top tier service. John was very professional and attentive. He fixed everything and other things that will be a problem in the future. I would highly recommend this company for any of your electrical problems. He exchanged a circuit breaker, a outlet cover and 3 outlets.

This electrician was referred from a Home Warranty Service. He arrived exactly during the time frame he estimated and gave me notification when he was on his way. The electrician did exactly what he was supposed to do. He replaced a worn-out bathroom exhaust fan motor and replaced a bad light switch. He did it in a timely manner--less than an hour for everything. He was very polite and friendly as well. Thank you John

My experience with John was excellent from start to finish. He immediately reached out to me via text after he was dispatched by my warranty company. He walked me through a few things to troubleshoot the issue, and gave me a lot of informative information. He scheduled the appointment for the next day. John showed up on time, was very friendly, attentive, and fixed the issue in a timely manner.

I used this company and John did a great job! I couldn’t have asked for better work and better cost for the job. Job well done!

I contacted John regarding an electrical issue (multiple flickering lights, burning smell etc). He quickly found a day that worked for both our schedules. He was responsive, communicated well, knowledgeable and efficient. He showed up on time and quickly found the problem, fixed the faulty wiring, changed a breaker (thingy) and answered all my questions. John shows up on time and is very easy to talk to and gets problems solved quickly and is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of electricity. He is also a contractor and is fully licensed. His prices are reasonable and have recommended to my clients.

This is the second time we have used John for electrical issues in our home. John was punctual, courteous and professional.

John was great at troubleshooting each issue and made sure Florida code was followed which made us feel safe. John's rates were very fair and we definitely will use him again.

John Lovets stopped by our house to look at an issue we had and was fantastic. While the issue wasn’t electrical in nature, he helped out us in touch with the right folks to fix it, gave us a detailed explanation of the situation, and even helped get help on an expedited route. All around great guy and absolutely the type of folks I want to call next time I have any electrical issue.

I had John from SSE install a new waterproof light over my master bathroom shower and install a new vanity with a deffogging function and built in lighting. He was a tad early to the appointment(which I appreciated) and he kept me in the loop as to his arrival. His work was excellent and efficient! I figured the vanity was going to be a pain, but professionals make everything look easy! I would highly recommend calling Silver Stands Electrical for any help you may need for your home improvement plans!

After reading some of the mixed reviews, I was honestly a bit concerned. But my experience with Silver Strand Electric, INC. completely changed that impression.

John was extremely professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. He took the time to thoroughly inspect every corner of the issue instead of rushing through the job. You can tell he takes pride in his work and aims for perfection. He carefully explained what was going on and made sure everything was resolved properly before leaving.

The quality of work was excellent, and the pricing was fair. It’s clear he knows exactly what he’s doing.

I would absolutely recommend Silver Strand Electric to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable electrician in Jacksonville.

Waste of time. No show.

Very unprofessional. I took a day off to wait for repair but John is no show and did not notify me.

Terrible communication. I took a day off from work and the company was a no show, without any communication. Reaching out to the home warranty company to have the work order reassigned.

I was assigned this electrician through my home warranty company (AHS). This electrician showed up and refused to complete any work due to rain. Understandable, but then he proceeded to incorrectly diagnose an issue with our non working outlet in a way such that it was not covered by our warranty when it clearly should have been covered due to improper original installation. The electrician self admittedly explained he was trying to get more money from the warranty company and this was the reason for his write up. Again, fine, not how I would conduct business as a professional but to each his own. However, he then refused to return any text messages or calls to actually come back and fix my non-working outlet (original problem). Clearly this electrician is running some sort of scam to take money from home warranty claims and use any excuse possible to not actually complete any work or fixes. Avoid at all costs. I will be reporting to the warranty company and suggesting that they find someone else to carry out their contract work. If something installed improperly, by all means go ahead and fix it. Do your job. At a minimum, you could have the courtesy to return calls and messages instead of taking the warranty call money and running. There was no secondary damage here.

Update: after being fed up with zero response, I went ahead and took matters into my own hands. Went to Home Depot and found the GFCI receptacle and new box for $30 total. After about 5 minutes of unscrewing 3 wires and replacing the receptacle, I am back up and running. I can’t believe that the electrician made this whole ordeal such a disaster and wasted so much of our time and ultimately not helping up resolve our problem. He tried to charge us an extra $130 on top of the $125 service call for “rewiring” due to the box being installed upside down. Two screws was all it took to fix this issue, and I went ahead and just got a new box for $9. I’m happy to pay for service, but this is one instance where I’m sorry I did. I’ve let the home warranty company know that they need to find a different electrician to work with as this one was difficult to work with and very dishonest. What a waste of my time, but hey at least I know how to replace a GFCI receptacle now so I consider it a win!

Me and my husband have American home shield and John was supposed to come to my house before I went to work and he was very smug and rude after I told him the day before what time I had to be to work and now American home shield keeps rescheduling them to us and he keeps canceling! Very unprofessional business he’s running and very rude I don’t recommend them at all so make sure you use someone else if you have American home shield!
