I've got a pool cage in the back so the space for the deck was kind of tight and weird shaped. They came out twice before starting just to measure and make sure they had the layout right. Ended up fitting like a glove and best use of the space.

These guys are the best . Kenny and crew are insanely good at what they do and they are straight shooters . Wouldn't use any other great company. Update : it's been years now that I have known the guys at sunset fence and there as good now as they were when we met 8 years ago so glad to have met these guys

We can't say enough about our Sunset Fence. My first house has the same fence still standing since 1989. Our new fence is 2 years old, and is looks brand new. You cannot beat the quality. Their slogan is absolutely true - you can Expect the Best ! Thank you Abe!

Abe built our fence two years ago in the Fairfax area. Some sections were six feet tall and others eight feet. The fence looks great two years later. Working with Abe was a good experience. He’s usually backed up on projects for several weeks but he’ll tell you that on the initial visit. Also if you find any issues with your fence, he will come back and fix it but you just have to wait for him to be back in your neighborhood. He has projects all over the city. We used a separate company for staining the fence because at that time Abe was not offering staining services.

Excellent Customer service from first encounter, bid, ongoing timeliness and responsiveness… And delightfully their execution! Great crew, great fence. Completed and cleaned up. No reservations about recommending them wholeheartedly. Abe, The owner, was great to work with throughout. Thanks!

WOW!!! We are about 3/4 finished with a redo of fencing on our property! WOW it is so beautiful! We have 3 different fences! 8' fencing on the side of our property that butts up to an apartment complex. The newly constructed Sunset fence is beautiful, and sturdy! As Abe has stated this will be our forever fence!

We decided for Red Cedar fence, horizontally run in the front of the property where more people will see it as they enter the property. We haven't gotten to that yet but I am sure it is going to be amazing.

And on the west side of our property we are fixing and matching black chain link fence. We needed some gate repairs and a new gate installed to work with the new dock wall. Again all I can say is we are more than happy with Sunset and the professional team of workers.

We have used Sunset Fence for many years and they never disappoint! Abe and his skilled team of craftsmen do a wonderful job. They just built a new deck for us and it is really well built and solid. It looks amazing too. We couldn't be happier! They are always in demand so you may have to wait for your turn to come but it is totally worth it! I highly recommend Sunset Fence!

10 out of 10. These guys built me a serious custom fence. 6x6 posts, concrete, board on board, 8' tall, cap and trim. Demo and haul away of old fence. Amazing. Quality is there. Pricing was fair. Hard workers, getting it done.

We hired Sunset Fence to build approx. 350' of fence. They did a good job except on a sloping area. I contacted the owner to discuss the concerns that we had because of the massive gap that they left along the slope. He scheduled a meeting to go over, but he never showed up. Contacted him several times after, but never received a call back. DO NOT pay full contract price until you have had time to look at the workmanship and make sure that he fixes your issues. It is unfortunate that he has no follow through...the job was over $8,500 so he should have been willing to come back out to make it right.

Never called me back

Have called the store and the cell phone number over a dozen times, left multiple messages for a call back. This business is unresponsive. Apparently doesn't want my business.

I keep calling for 250 foot job i want completed. No answer nor a call back. Is this even a real phone number/ business? Looking for someone, to do the job please.

After seeing one of their trucks on St. John’s Bluff Road this morning with a tasteless, tacky and ignorant bumper sticker that demeans a woman of color, I would definitely not use or recommend this business.

Unfortunately this service provider does not mind wasting your time. I scheduled this company for two specific days to complete a job because I needed to be present for the work. After I had scheduled vacation days with my work, which I communicated to this service provider in advance, they blew off the fact that they were supposed to be here on the first day scheduled. They decided to try to fit in another job that morning. They managed to drop off some building material at 5:15pm and then went home. On the second day, the day they were scheduled to complete the job, they informed me that they had scheduled yet *another* customer before my job. I really don't like to leave bad reviews for companies. Everyone makes mistakes. But what they did was completely preventable. It seems that they choose to do business in a way that does not respect peoples' time.

Complete Flake. Never followed up after detailed discussion of our fence project with him and his promise to provide us with an estimate. Contractors like this have a distorted ethical compass, believing it entirely OK to simply blow off potential customers by ignoring their phone calls and texts rather than replying with a simple "I'm too busy right now" or "I'm not interested in your project" or "We're not set up to handle the fence work you proposed". Business models characterized by indifferent behavior toward customers, like this one, justify negative reviews like ours.
