From quote to completion John and his team were nothing less then professional. In today's world it is hard to find a contractor / pool builder that is honest, communicative, and takes pride in their work. Sammet Pools covers all these and goes above and beyond. They are true craftsman and they know pools!!!

Sammet Pools - one of the BEST in the business! John designed and built our pool 23 years ago. When I called him to have him come out and give us a quote to resurface, his first words were - the one with the sail fish? How he remembered that is beyond me. He came out and gave us a quote - said he wasn't sure he could save the sailfish but would 'try'.

His lead times for ordering product, starting and finishing the job were spot on. His guys were on time, professional, worked fast and the job took way less time than I thought possible.

His pricing was great for the service we got and his team was able to save the sailfish. Our pool looks amazing and we couldn't be happier. John called yesterday 2 weeks after our pool was completed to 'follow up'. There are very few people today who take the time to follow up and make sure the client is happy. John is one of those guys. Call Sammet Pools and you won't be disappointed.

If you want your pool designed and built (or remodeled) properly to stand the test of time, talk to John Sammet. He built my pool just as COVID was starting and never missed a beat even with many delays at my City's building department. My pool is four years old at this point and we have had no issues at all with the build or equipment that was installed. Very satisfied.

Hands down that most amazing experience! John really was the only shining light in our remodeling adventure. We started with a different pool contractor who took our money and ran, John came in and not just bailed us out of a horrible experience but elevated it! Sammet pools did an outstanding job building the pool at my home. The entire process was seamless, and I would highly recommend them. John Sammet is one of the few contractors I have ever worked with that delivers on his promises and goes out of his way to make sure that his clients are satisfied. Great Company!! 5 Stars from me!

John and his team have done several pools for me. He does what he says he’s going to do in the amount of time he says he’s going to do it. His team of people specifically Carrie and Allen are just amazing people to work with! Carrie is so good at her job, and is just very professional. Allen is so knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to work with. I personally would not use any other pool contractor in South Florida other than Sammet.

I am the President of a small HOA in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL. We have experienced ongoing problems with piping, leaks, valves, pavers and filter systems UNTIL we met John Sammet and his amazing crew. John pretty much diagnosed the problems over the phone, and his crew made the repairs in a timely matter. I have had the pleasure of working with Sammet Pools for over a year now. Their company built and installed our beautiful infinity pool and hot tub for our new hotel in Pompano Beach, FL. The crew that was working at our property during the build was super efficient and took their time to do excellent quality work with great attention to detail. Their technicians and field supervisors were well knowledgeable and eager to show our hotel staff the inner workings and preventative maintenance of all the pool equipment that was installed. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Sammet Pools for any job, large or small.

I was looking for a contractor that came with a good referral from friends and business associates. Most of the referrals didn't work out for me until I was given John's contact info. I had already shared my pool plans with John, so at our first meeting he showed up with a nice folder presentation with cut sheets for all the materials & equipment he was proposing along with a quote for the work. This immediately gave me a comfort level with him. Top that off with all of his years of experience & personality, I knew that he was the right fit for my project.

As a Landscape Architect, I know just enough about pools to be dangerous & a headache to my pool contractor. John didn't treat me that way though. The communication was constant & flowing all through the process. He's as detail oriented as I am, so it all worked out well. The finished product speaks for itself.

My pools been completed for several months now. To this day, if I have a question or a problem, I can text him & get a response right away.

If at the end of a project you consider the contractor a friend, well, that speaks volumes.

Sammet Pools was amazing! They worked with us in designing a pool with all of the features we wanted. They were ultimate professionals particularly the owner, John and the leader of the crew did quality work and made sure his crew did as well.
We are so glad that we followed John’s recommendations for top notch equipment and a salt pool that my husband uses his phone for monitoring the pool chemicals and all of the equipment. We don’t need to pay for a cleaning service because it is so easy to do ourselves. ( have top of line vacuum, add a bag of salt, brush it every 3 weeks)

Sammet Pools is hands down the best pool contractor out there. John and his team are proactive, organized, and consistently do exactly what they say they’re going to do. They truly look out for their customers and operate with integrity from start to finish.

John’s staff is outstanding as well. Anytime I had a question or wanted to better understand part of the process, they took the time to walk me through it and explain the “why” behind their approach. That level of transparency made a huge difference and helped me understand the entire process from beginning to end.

Even after the pool was completed, they continued to stand behind their work. If something needed attention, they were there the very next day to take care of it. After building a pool with Sammet, I wouldn’t consider using anyone else.

Sammets Pools built a new pool for me in 2025. I chose them partly based on recommendations, but also because they had both an in‑house design team and engineers. Sammet Pools handled all communication with the municipality regarding permits, which is a very large and time‑consuming part of the project.
We agreed on price and timeline in a contract, and Sammet Pools delivered 100% according to that agreement. They have skilled in‑house workers and hire professional subcontractors for paving, pool finishing, electrical work, and plumbing.
In our particular project, we encountered a major challenge with high groundwater levels. This required quick decisions, but Sammet Pools did not hesitate to allocate resources and had solutions ready for every situation. I felt completely confident as a customer throughout the entire process.
I can wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

Our experience with Sammet Pools has been a journey! Despite facing a series of challenges over the years, the team ultimately delivered a fantastic job in creating and bringing our backyard dream space to life. Some of the issues were unfortunate circumstances beyond the builder’s control, while others were due to unforeseen complications.

Throughout it all, John Sammet consistently stood behind his company and work, demonstrating unwavering commitment to resolving every issue. His dedication to customer satisfaction and adherence to the warranty agreement were truly commendable. Thanks to John’s integrity and perseverance, our backyard is now everything we hoped for.

This company is dishonest. They made multiple promises on time lines that they never came close to keeping and simply replied they don’t know how long it will take even though they claim 33 years of experience. Their workers were lazy, sloppy and far from able to deliver anything “custom”. The owner thinks he knows everything including what’s best in a pool just because he has it in his pool. Their lighting design was about as bad as it could be. And unless you want the southwest Boulder look don’t let them do faux rock features. That is all they know how to do and aren’t that good at it.

I paid Sammet Pools nearly $200,000 for my pool. The job was finished in June. Shortly after I had cracked tiles in several locations. It is now seven months later and After an untold number of sob stories he has never showed up to fix the problem. I have now had to hire another contractor to remedy
the situation. The owner is a slouch a no-show and a charlatan. There is more to the problem than just replacing the broken tiles. The sides of the pool have to be re-engineered because the tiles were used improperly and put in in properly.
