My washing machine hose developed a leak overnight. Their crew arrived quickly, replaced the hose and tested water flow. The repair was smooth and they were very courteous.

We heard dripping sounds inside the wall behind the shower. Their crew carefully opened a small section to find the leak. They repaired the pipe and sealed the area neatly. No more dripping at all.

I called to confirm whether this company is licensed in the State of Georgia as a master and/or journeyman plumbing contractor. I was told that they are. However, when I asked for the license number, the person I spoke with became defensive. Ultimately they hung up on me.

As a customer, I expect a licensed contractor to be properly registered and easily verifiable through the state’s license lookup. I am not comfortable working with a company that cannot provide that information upon request.

A simple response such as, “No, we don’t meet your requirements,” or “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to provide that—can I have a manager follow up with you?” would have been perfectly acceptable.

My goal was to avoid wasting anyone’s time—both theirs and mine—by confirming licensing upfront before scheduling a visit, taking time off work, and reviewing the project, only to discover later that they are not properly licensed.
