Great place for getting HVAC equipment and other such items. Be warned you need a contractors license to buy any equipment, fittings and venting items a lay person can buy.

I had an ordering mix-up at Standard Air Supply, but I want to highlight the excellent customer service from the Manager and another team member, im very bad with names but they know who they are:) They listened, followed up, apologized for the confusion, and got my system ordered without extra cost to me. They really turned things around, and I appreciate the effort to make it right!

Absolutely rude staff.
As a consumer, I walked in the door and made it no more than 3 steps in and was immediately greeted with the statement “We will not sell to you. Are you a contractor? No?! Then I will not sell to you.”
Nowhere on their website or google listing does it state they do not sell to the general public.
No quality business will treat anyone this way. Understanding that as a business they choose to only sell to contractors; to be met with this sort of attitude without ANY provocation... literally just walking in the door... absolutely ridiculous. -
I went to True Value Air Supply last week looking to buy sheet metal. Although they don't have any notice on the website, they have a sign at the entrance "HVAC contractors only."
Despite this, I still went ahead and asked the staff: "I understand you don't sell to the public, but do you happen to know where else can I source this?"
They wouldn't be losing any business if they recommend me a competitor retailer. They didn't. They could have politely offered a perfectly another acceptable answer: "I'm sorry, I don't know". But they didn't.
Instead, one of the two guys at the front desk raised his head to say: "you won't find this anywhere in town", and immediately looked back down. End of the conversation.
I wished them a good day and left, knowing very well that I would be writing a review :)
This level of dry dismissiveness is something that you won't even get from government bureaucrats in City Hall or the DMV.
I ended up finding a sheet metal retailer, Woody's Sheet Metal, that was very happy to sell me a single sheet of 24ga. Almost the exact opposite attitude as True Value.
Prior to them being bought by True Value, the staff at Standard Plumbing was absolutely informative, helpful, and empathetic, and they did sell me galvanized sheet metal in the past, despite not being an HVAC contractor, or point me out to competitors for products they didn't offer.
