I am never disappointed with my service from JA Bertsch. From installing new equipment to cleaning out the ducts and everything in between. They are always professional and courteous.

Taylor successfully diagnosed what went wrong with the boiler and then performed the installation of a new one! We have wonderful hot water again!

Eric was very professional. He was friendly, as he addressed all of my concerns in detail that I could understand. I was happy to see the same serviceman year after year. I forgot to ask if he changed the oil filter, but I'm sure he did.

Our family has used J.A. Bertsch for about 10 years, the customer service is absolutely amazing. We recently had a problem with our AC. I called after hours expecting to leave a message and was pleasantly surprised when the call was answered, they were able to make me an appointment, an our system was back up an running within 2 days! We can't recommend them enough!

We had an incredible experience with J.A. Bertsch Heating & Cooling and their technician, Sean. Over a holiday weekend, we discovered one of our AC vents had come off—and even worse, our beloved cat had gone missing. We quickly realized she must have crawled into the vent system, but she wasn’t making any noise, and we had no way of finding her ourselves.
After calling several HVAC companies, we were repeatedly told they couldn't help us. We felt helpless, heartbroken, and panicked. Then we called J.A. Bertsch—and everything changed. Their team was kind, responsive, and genuinely compassionate from the very first call. They understood the urgency and sadness of our situation and made sure to keep us informed every step of the way. We especially appreciated the safety measure of letting us know who was coming, including Sean’s name and photo in advance.
Sean arrived quickly and got to work immediately. He didn’t hesitate for a second—he went under the house and carefully checked the ductwork. To our complete relief, he found our cat, and within moments she came running out of another vent—safe and sound! We were overwhelmed with gratitude and joy.
Sean’s professionalism, empathy, and quick thinking turned what felt like a nightmare into a happy ending. We can't thank him and the entire J.A. Bertsch team enough. This is a company that truly goes above and beyond—not just for HVAC issues, but for people (and pets!) in distress. We will absolutely be customers for life.

J A Bertsch is hands down, awesome!! Our original AC/Furnace needed to be replaced as well as electrical updated & honestly, we couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone from the first technicians to visit to Blaine, the poor soul who has to tell you you need new units, to the install crew; to the electrical crew have been patient, super nice and informative and just all together, professionally amazing! Forever clients of Bertsch Heating & Cooling this has been such a good-first experience w/this type of home repair.

Amazing service! Arrived right on time to swap out our dead furnace for a new one. Ran into an electrical issue , but the problem was quickly resolved and the new furnace is up and running and we have heat!

James was very nice and respectful. He diagnosed the issue quickly and took care of it quickly. James also gave a good explanation of the problem. We greatly appreciated his help.

Had a wonderful experience getting a new electric heat pump furnace installed at our lake cabin. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Showed up promptly and did the install and cleaned everything up and were pleasant the entire time. I hope I don’t need another furnace anytime soon, but I’d certainly call them if I did. Also, a great family run business (one of the guys has been with them almost 20 years and is related to the owner).

Eric is excellent. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Explained everything in easy to understand terms. Replaced a worn air conditioning motor and saved us $600 under a competitive company quote. Also signed up for a yearly service program that saves money over normal service calls and we don't have to remember to call. Extremely pleased with this company.

Sean was excellent. Found the problem with our gas fireplace and ordered part needed. Also checked and serviced furnace while here. It's great having a company that you can trust to do the work and offer a fair price.
