Overall was a good experience. They were neat and did a good job sealing the driveway.

Excellent work & service. My driveway looks great!
-
Great value, professional, and timely. Always happy with how our driveway looks afterwards!

Super friendly staff, in the office and in the field. Prompt service, they were able to get out for sealcoat within a week. We’ve used MSC for a couple years now, and will probably go with them when it’s time to replace our driveway! Awesome group of guys.

Their crew did an excellent job seal coating our driveway at a very reasonable price and the staff is always friendly and helpful!

Hired Midwest Sealcoat for a resurface job on a driveway in Sugar Grove. Great experience in all aspects. Steve and company are a pleasure to work with. Professional, timely and fair priced. A+++

Midwest Sealcoat just finished a tear off and new asphalt paving of my 130' long driveway. They did a great job, reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

Rob and his guys took great care of us. We needed some landscaping rock for our home and they delivered it at a great price.
Here is what makes them different. I needed a little bit more to finish off the last spot for the year and they gave me an amazing deal. Most companies won't even sell you any less than a ton at a time.
I'll be going back to them next year to finish off the rest of my yard. -
I had my driveway completely removed and replaced last month, and I honestly couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The crew was super professional, showed up when they said they would, and worked quickly without cutting corners.
The new driveway looks amazing. Smooth, clean edges, no puddling when it rains (a huge improvement overall). A few of my neighbors have already asked who did the work because the difference is that noticeable. If you're thinking about getting your driveway redone, I'd definitely recommend going with these guys. Top-quality -
They did an amazing job on my new driveway! Rob and his crew were excellent.
Had some concerns with my old driveway (primarily a weird curve I wanted straightened out) they did exactly what I had hoped. Even went the extra mile and filled the gap from the removed curve with dirt so I could seed!
Communication was prompt and consistent from start to finish. Exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier. I highly recommend! -
We couldn't be happier with the work done on our driveway. From the initial consultation to the final touches, the team was professional, punctual and incredibly skilled. They listened to our needs, offered helpful suggestions and delivered results that exceeded our expectations at a fair price. The driveway looks fantastic and has transformed the curb appeal of our home. They kept the worksite clean, communicated clearly throughout the process and finished right on schedule. Highly recommend!

Someone , a male I wish would've gotten his name who answered the phone in the office when I called to try and order sealcoating for my driveway, just automatically turned me away over the telephone. I had informed him that I needed for him to go out to one of my properties located in Plainfield, IL and he immediately said to me "Oh that's too far for us!" after he said that to me he went on to refer me to yet a different sealcoat company by the name of Fireman's. He goes "You should call Fireman's, they'll probably take you." So, I went to a movie theater in Oswego just by chance and I saw that Midwest Sealcoat does their parking lot. This particular movie theater is located exactly 6 miles and 12 minutes from where I'd required for them to go, but Oh no that location is too far for them to go." THE ABSOLUTE WEIRDEST THING TO EVER REFER ANY POTENTIAL INCOMING BUSINESS & REVENUE OFF TO ANOTHER COMPANY FOR A DIFFERENCE JUST OF 6 MILES TO TRAVEL.
Bottom line if you want Midwest Sealcoat Inc. to service you, I guess you should just automatically call out to Fireman's Sealcoat , Inc. located in Downers Grove, IL instead. I contacted Fireman's Sealcoat and they were just too busy to take another job due to being very behind already due to the rainy weather. I ended up getting an amazing company from Bolingbrook, IL called "P&J" Sealcoat to come and service my driveway. I've been using P&J Sealcoat for about the past 4 year now, and they do an absolute great job each year, filling up the cracks, blowing first and with the highest grade of materials, and black top hot tar. -
Before sealing my driveway, they filled the cracks, but didn't remove the grass & debris. Then they put the seal over the grass & debris. The grass is growing out of the cracks & the seal is staring to peel less than 2 days after the job was done. They didn't let the filler settle before sealing & the cracks are already opening up. I called twice, both times speaking with Christie. Her response on my first call "I will pass your info to Steve(the owner I believe) & ask him to call you. A day later no call. On my second call, Christie's response was "I passed it on to Steve, but he was extremely busy yesterday". I have the pictures of this for proof, just tell me where to send them!

Had to call 3 time's about getting an estimate.. never heard from them. Called again today and spoke with another person. Gave them the address and they asked for the dimensions, WTH they didn't even have a record of that from the previous 3 conversations..
I told them I will find someone else , that wants the work.
I wouldn't waste your time contacting them. -
I would go with a lower rating if I could. I started in August of 2024 with getting an estimate. They would start the job in the spring of 2025. They would get the permits in the spring. I have emailed Steve in March asking about the permits and his response was, the county will be approving them the first part of April. Emailed Steve on May 6th again checking if they got the permits and his response was "Sorry have not checked, let me check tomorrow". May 15th "have not heard yet, I will check." .
I just emailed they and said "I guess I won't be getting my driveway done anytime soon". That's when I decided to not go with Midwest Sealcoat. They won't answer any of my emails. I have just gone with another company and they have been great. -
2 issues with the company.
• paid for my driveway to be cleaned and oil spots removed which was an extra charge. The crew didn’t have any so they sealed anyway. I called and spoke to owner and he was extremely rude.
• I gave them a chance on mulching my property and the charge was $250 more than my previous company charged. The mulch after 1 week was completely grey. Spoke to owner and I should have learned from my first experience with him.
I won’t use them again!
