I highly recommend this business!
I have a mobile home! I was in the flood in Caseyville,IL. Michael came to the rescue!! I had no idea where to begin to rebuild! This young man & his team took over! Explaining everything & suggestions to save money!! I'm elderly! These young men didn't try to rip me off as some would! They went above & beyond to make my place livable & safe for me and my 4 dogs!

A sewer line had been clogged creating water to be backed up all over my basement floor, I couldn't use my kitchen sink or dishwasher without flooding my basement. Prestito came out and helped unclog my line in a fraction of time I had already spent working on it myself. I highly recommend this company to anyone dealing with home repair issues.

We had a very slow draining bathtub that needed repair. Mike did an awesome job. Great service and quality work. Communication was very well kept throughout as well as very flexible with my schedule. Prestito’s Home Solution has done many jobs for me. From a bathroom renovation due to water damage to simple fixes and improvements around my home. For years now, Mike has done all maintenance and repair for me. Every job has been done in an efficient and timely manner, with outstanding work quality. I am proud to recommend him and have done so to multiple others who have been just as satisfied with their services.

Hired Prestito’s Home Solutions to renovate a duplex I purchased as an investment in St. Louis. It was easy to communicate with Mike and his team. Seeing how I was out of state, this was very important. At times there was a bit of miscommunication but for the most part we were able to work things out. The job was satisfactory and I wouldn’t mind contracting them again.

Mike Prestito is a contractor who was referred by Home Depot Pro. When he first came he was very professional in accommodating us with designing and sizing our butcher block countertop. He sent us the price and measurements of the wood. Then he sent a picture of the wood board with the stain which was rather darker than we wanted but it worked well. Upon delivery of the finished product we went against our better judgment being excited about completing the job. Upon further inspection we found the table was not stained but heavy layers of paint or stain that was not properly applied. The table has streaks, and sometimes the paint or finish clumps. The top has rough spots and is not smooth like a regular table surface. There are dents in this brand new butcher block board. On the side surfaces the finish is rough that is bubbly on all four sides. Mike promised to come back and make this situation right although he said there’s nothing he can do about the color. It’s been 3 weeks and so far no response and no promise of a date to return. The job he did is far from professional. It’s the worse portion of a newly renovated kitchen. From a distance the design works until you have a seat at the counter. I can’t tell if something sticky is on my table or it’s Mikes work. After many wipe downs there’s no improvement. Not one complement on the countertop. I would not recommend him and Home Depot Pro is no better because they have failed to return any of our calls. Which means this is money lost.

I initially hired this company through a major company who offers contractor referrals that you can work directly with, to tear down an old deck and build a larger one. During the course of the work on the deck, I was initially pleased with how it was turning out, and even attempted to offer another job for some concrete work, which never received a response (thank goodness). While the deck was eventually completed, it failed inspection — and that’s where the nightmare began.

Mr. Prestitos personally assured me multiple times that he would return to fix the issues so the deck could pass inspection. He never did. For months on end, he repeatedly promised to “come next week” and then disappeared without a word. Eventually, he stopped responding altogether. Even company that managed the contractor referral program was unable to reach him. I was left with no contact information for this person outside of their communication system.

Out of sheer frustration, I reached out online and through Facebook Messenger. After a year and a half of attempting to get this resolved, someone finally replied — only to make yet another empty promise that the work would be completed. That was in August. It is now October, my building permit expires again in two days (which they are fully aware of), and I have yet to see anyone show up.

When I spoke directly with Mr. Prestitos by phone last week, he once again assured me that someone would call me that week and that the permit renewal and remaining repairs would be handled. Of course, no one ever called.

This company has been the single biggest headache of any project I’ve ever taken on. Their communication is abysmal, their professionalism nonexistent, and their integrity completely lacking.

At this point, I am actively exploring small claims court unless they appear within the next two days with a valid building permit and a plan to finish the job. Mr. Prestitos has tried to blame this on a former employee, but let’s be clear — he was the one who did the work and he was the one who made the promises. What I cannot understand is WHY did they even reach back out if they had NO intention to show up and complete the work?

Avoid this company at all costs unless you enjoy endless excuses, broken commitments, and unfinished work. 1.5 years of dealing with this nonsense is absolutely ridiculous.
