Our company has been using Wingren Landscaping for our grounds maintenance and snowplowing. They also recently completed two lighting projects for us. I think they do a superior job. We have the best looking office building on the block! My contact there is responsive to feedback - and always follows up when we have an issue. I am very pleased to recommend them to others!

Good communication with crew - responsive to requests to get mulch coverage in all areas consistent with map provided.

Christi has been a pleasure to work with these past few years. She is always responsive to my concerns and any issues resolved in a timely manor. My yard crew and mulch crew were friendly and polite. They perform any task I inquire about with efficiency and sweep themselves back into the truck prior to leaving. I am very pleased with their workmanship.

Lovely design for our patio/pavilion. Absolutely terrible project management and follow through. Would not recommend for design/build projects. We do recommend the lighting team (outdoor lighting and holiday lighting) as they were excellent.

Did not have a good experience with Wingren in the 2024 season. My contact did not communicate very well and never visited the home. The people that took care of the property did not do a good job on anything besides mowing, I would not recommend them for anything beyond this scope of work. When discussing the contract, I made it very clear that I wanted to prune the trees and bushes myself but Wingren was to mow, edge, clean up mulched areas and perform fall cleanup of leaves.

The edging they did was horrendous (see pictures) and took them over a month to fix. The fix was not great either.

They also pruned all my trees and bushes without consulting with me first. I do not like the way they pruned them. I have been pruning them for a few years to establish clean lines in my bushes which they completely ignored. They also pruned my raspberry and blackberry bushes and left some of the branches half on.

A few times the tractor left yellow spots across the yard.

They also used a ton of weed killer in all our mulched areas which is what we had discussed but they also used a lot of this around our garden beds to kill anything growing around the garden beds which we did not agree with. When confronted with this we were told no weed killer was used around the beds from the person who has never been on site.

A small portion of our playground was broken by their mower and we were not told about it until we saw it ourselves including nails sticking out of the playground.

Whenever I tried to speak to one of the guys on site, which is rare because they came during the day when we are working, they did not speak English and were unable to properly communicate with me.

We have roughly 3/4 acre property and paid a total of $6,263.77 which was paid in seven installments of $894.82 for the months of May - November. With that amount of money we were expecting a more professional service. We hired these guys because they take care of the properties across the street as well so we thought this would be a good fit.

No follow through no call backs not even a response email

The issue, one being dumping remains of cuttings, branches, garbage and their personal litter in Dupage county St. Johns creek. This is a wetland and overflow property part of the storm system.

Terrible company to do business with ~ STAY AWAY FROM THEM. If something goes wrong, it isn't their fault. They are not reputable and don't care about fixing the problem they caused AND still wants to get paid for it without compromise.

We’ve used the service for our association for a few years now, service has gotten progressively worse over the past two years and they are relatively unresponsive to complaints. Grass is currently 13” high and was told 1 to 2x a month in April is appropriate for cutting. They have been here once, and it’s May...

I used Wingren for Christmas lights for two years. The service was great, and I had no issues. In 2024, I worked with Josh Cummins, and the experience was a major disappointment. There were constant excuses. The lights were installed later than usual and poorly done. The cord management was a mess, and the tree lights were off. I could tell immediately as I pulled into the driveway. After meeting with Josh’s crew a couple of times, the lights were "good enough" by mid-December.

By the end of January, I was still waiting for them to take the lights down. Josh kept offering more excuses, and I had to follow up to get any updates. His crew showed up randomly without prior notice, just after my wife left. They tried to take the lights, and I had to call Josh to explain we weren’t prepared for their arrival. I asked them to leave the lights up like they had in previous years, and was told they could wait 10 minutes for my wife to get home. They didn’t wait. Instead, they left the lights and wreath on the driveway and left.

This has been a frustrating experience, especially considering I paid double the rate of competitors. I have been in the customer service industry most of my life, and I know this is not how you work with customers.

I wouldn’t recommend working with this company based on my experience.
